Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms Thinking of You

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palmsstamp set and the Chic Dies plus various stamp pads.

My card is a beach scene so I am entering the Double D Challenge.

The Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is also a  beachy outdoor scene.

Since my card is a fun fold, I am also entering the Creative Creases Challenge.

This is a diagram I found on the internet of how to score and cut the card base.  I did not score in the top portion as this diagram shows.  I did follow the remaining instructions on cutting and scoring.

Using many different tools to apply the many colors of ink I use to create the sky, ocean, and beach on an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Basic White card stock I created a beach scene as if I was camping on the beach. After all the coloring was finished, I cut the finished piece into three pieces to match the folds of the card.   The pieces are applied to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The tent is stamped in Soft Suede ink and colored using So Saffron ink.  I used a few faux pebbles to create the fire pit.

Palm trees are stamped in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz inks. The tree trunks are stamped in Soft Suede ink.  They are then popped on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Grass from the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizion stamp set is used to create the grass.  The grass is popped at the base of the palm trees using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The belly band is created using a strip of Texture Chic DSP.  I colored all the DSP using Coastal Cabana ink.  The starkness of the panel of DSP did not go with the colors used for the card.  The sea shells are cropped from a scrap of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.  One sea shell is cropped from a panel of the Texture Chick DSP. The greeting is from my stash of thinking of you stamps. Several Faux Sea Grass Shapes are popped in the circle.  The circle is cropped from a piece of Basic White card.  Looking at the picture it seems I have misplaced my seashell die.  I sure hope it will be found.

The inside panel of Basic White card stock has a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms stamp set stamped in Old Olive ink.  A palm tree is adhered to the panel also.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Texture Chic DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. My challenge for the day is with the Freshly Made Sketches.

I started with a piece of Soft Succulent card stock for my card base.  I added a panel of Pool Party next then a panel of Texture Chic DSP.  Across the DSP a banner of Pool Party card stock is added .

A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Chic Dies.  A flower from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set is stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sorbet ink.  A leaf from the Season of Chic stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.  A snowflake if cropped using a die from the Chic Dies.

A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set is stamped in Soft Succulent ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and fussy cut and popped on the left side of the card front. Dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment are popped around the art piece and one is popped in the center of the snowflake.

A sentiment is stamped in Soft Succulent ink on a Basic White card stock panel.  A leaf is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink in the lower corner.  A small strip of the same DSP as on the front of the card is adhered to the bottom of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Texture Chic DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses Hello card

Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses Hello card

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses stamp set.

I am entering the Alphabet Challenge. Their theme is F for Friendship.  This is good as the card I made is for a friend that is vision impaired.  She will be able to see it with a magnifying glass.

This is the way the card looks when it is closed.  A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Scalloped Contour Dies for the two birdhouses from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses stamp set.  One is stamped in Crushed Curry ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, the other is stamped using Night of Navy ink stamped off once.  They are fussy cut and popped on the Basic White cropped panel.  Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped on the birdhouses.  Amazing how all look a different color, I guess that is why they are called Iridescent.

This diagram is compliments of Mary Deatherage.  Click on her name and you will be taken to her blog to see her card.

My card base is Soft Suede card stock cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  I scored along the long side.  Score at 2-1/8″, 4-1/4″, and 6-3/8″ using a Paper Trimmer.  I then turned it to the short side and cut from the first score lines 1-1/2″ from the card edge down to the third score line.  I turned the card and did the same on the other end of the card cutting from 1-1/2″ from the card edge.

Mats are cut from Night of Navy card stock.  The large one that is the mat for the art piece is cropped using a die from the Scallop Contour Dies.  The DSPs are Ring of Love DSP, a free Sale-A-Bration item with a $50 purchase, available July 1.

The music notes are from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set.  They are stamped in Night of Navy ink around the card.

The sentiments are from the Stampin’ Up! Through It Together stamp set and are stamped in Night of Navy ink on Basic White card stock and cropped using dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

This is the way the card looks when it is open and standing.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Rings of Love DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Sending Smiles

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Sending Smiles

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set, along with dies from the Sending Dies and Harvest Dies, and the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

My design for today’s challenge is the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

The card base is Sweet Sorbet card stock.

I should have taken a picture of the tape on the Basic White panel when I taped it to color the panels, I thought of it after I pulled the tape off.  I used a Blending Brush and Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party inks to create the blocks. The blocks are the design of the challenge.  After coloring,  I embossed the panel using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

Basic White card stock is used to crop a flower from Harvest Dies. Also, the Basic White Sending from the Sending Dies.  The large silhouette of Sending is cropped from a piece of Basic Black card stock.  The white and black are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Both are popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Three dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment are popped around the card front.  The card front is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Blending Brush and Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party ink are used to brush the silhouette of the flower on a panel of Basic White card stock.  It was then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets the same image as the card front brushed on the front of the envelope and on the flap using a Blending Brush and Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party inks.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

My first Christmas card of the season.  The card I am sharing is created using the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set and Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies.

The Krafty Chicks Challenge fits my card perfectly, so I am entering it.  Their theme for this challenge is Christmas.

I am happy this stamp set carried over from last year’s July-December 2021 Mini and you can see why in the above photo.  I had these all ready to put cards together and ended up in the hospital for 9 days and never finished my cards, so no one received a card last year.  I saw these in the cabinet with my stamps and thought well this is current now, I will finish what was started a year ago, therefore, you are getting the first Christmas card of the season.

I started with a Soft Succulent card stock card base.  To that, I added a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock embossed using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.

The Soft Succulent and Basic White embossed pieces are also cropped using one of the dies that come with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  You can crop and emboss at the same time. The Basic White embossed piece is matted over the Soft Succulent one.

The poinsettia, holly berries, and JOY are stamped in Real Red ink on Basic White then cropped using dies from the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  The holly leaves and sprigs are stamped in Old Olive and Soft Succulent ink.

Sprigs are cropped from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen card stock. All the elements are arranged and adhered to the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker and popped on the card front. The word JOY is stamped in Real Red ink, cropped, and popped on the card front.

A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a Basic White card stock panel.  Holly leaves and berries are popped in the lower corner.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of 2021-2023 In Color DSP adhered to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.
