Amy’s Inkin’ Krew December Blog Hop — “Celebrate”

Welcome! It’s that time — what time is that you ask! Time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop. On the second Tuesday of each month, you can always find a group of talented stampers that make up a part of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew showcasing their talent by creating cards for our Blog Hop! Our theme for December is “Celebrate”. We can interpret “Celebrate” however we chose, so I am creating a birthday card. Be sure you check out each person’s blog, you will find much talent and inspiration. You may even find that you would like to CAS(E) one of the cards. Well let’s begin, I know you are wanting to see all the awesome cards.

I made a similar card to this one on October 22.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set. I am making the card in blues as it is a birthday card. While making this card, I realize this is a set that can be used for a variety of cards. The card base is Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray card stock. A panel of Stampin’ Up! Silver Foil Sheets card stock is used as the mat for the Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Frost DSP background panel.

The frames for the cardinal is cropped from a Stampin’ Up! Silver Foil Sheets using one of the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Frames Dies. I had used up my Silver Glimmer card stock so this made a good substitute. The cardinal is cropped from a panel of Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray card stock and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink. The branch the bird is on is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers in Light and Dark Seaside Spray and Light Old Olive. I know this color is not in the challenge but hoping it will be ok as I noticed some of the DT has other colors.

The Happy Birthday is from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on a scrap from cropping the bird. It makes a great label for the greeting would you not agree?

The inside sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Everything Is RosyStamp Set is stamped in ‘Stampin’ Up! Night Of Navy ink. An image from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set is stamped in the lower corner of the sentiment panel.

My Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope flap got an image from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers in Light Balmy Blue and Light Old Olive. A tree image was stamped in the right lower corner of the envelope front

Stampin’ Up! Brightly Gleaming

Happy chilly Thursday stampin’ friends, old and new! Hope your day is going well so far. It is time for the weekend again. It seems it gets here faster and faster, time must be flying!🙂

My card for the day is created using Stampin’ Up! Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, it seems I use this set each day.

My design inspiration for today is from the Sketch Saturday Challenge. This week we are to choose a past sketch. Here is the sketch I chose.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock, another panel of the Very Vanilla is layered on this and has the edges colored with the Stampin’ Up! Copper Delicata Metallic Ink. I realized that I did not have a piece of the Stampin’ Up! Copper Foil Sheets large enough for this layer so improvised. The background panel is from the Stampin’ Up! Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper as is the art piece.

The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Copper Delicata Metallic Ink, I think I am going to like these Metallic inks you can use them instead of embossing with Copper Embossing Powder. I added 3 dots from the Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here Bundle and colored them with the Stampin’ Up! Copper Delicata Metallic Ink. One of the ornaments from the DSP is fussy cut and popped in the corner of the card front.

The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Snow Is Glistening (retired) is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Copper Delicata Metallic Ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. Ornaments have been fussy cut from the Brightly Gleaming DSP and adhered around the edges of the sentiment panel. Too bad Stampin’ Up! didn’t have a returning product it was available for such a short while, maybe in the 2020-2021 catalog it will appear.

The Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of Stampin’ Up! Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper on the envelope flap. This finishes the project.

Stampin’ Up! Wrapped In Plaid and Toile Christmas

Happy Wednesday stampin’ friends old and new and friends who do not make cards at the moment but would love to learn. It is going to be a lovely day here because the temperature is going up and it will be a bit warmer. I am so happy we do not have the snow some of my stampin’ friends have. The only thing I know for them to do is make a big pot of vegetable soup and a pot of good Earl Grey tea and make cards. It would be a great time for making lots of cards.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Wrapped in Plaid DSP, Toile Tidings DSP, Itty Bitty Stamp Set, and Toile Christmas Stamp Set. I did use a few card making tools, didn’t I?

Today’s design is inspired by Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge #436.

First thing I did was emboss a Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler card stock panel for the card front using the Stampin’ Up! Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. After I adhered or pop the other items to this panel it will be popped on the card base.

A panel of Stampin’ Up! Wrapped In Plaid DSP and a panel of the Toile Tidings DSP are matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Gold Sheets These two panels are then adhered to the Brick & Mortar embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A circle was cut using the Stampin’ Up! Layering Circle Dies and a small piece of the Gold Foil Sheets. A Wrapped In Plaid Christmas Tree is popped on the circle using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! !Toile Christmas Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock. A scene from the Toile Tidings DSP is adhered at the bottom of the panel.

The Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of Stampin’ Up! Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper on the envelope flap. This finishes the project.

Happy Tuesday stampin’ friends –today is the day everyone has been waiting to get here — the day pre-order starts for the 2020 Mini Catalog. Have you already maxed out your card?🙂

The challenge I am joining today is Fab Friday.

The card is simple and beautiful as it is created using the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper. This DSP is a beautiful package of paper.

The focal panel is adhered to the Old Olive mat using Liquid Glue and then popped on the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Stamp Set. I did a bit of masking to get the greeting I wanted. Three sequins from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies Sequins are added to the card front.

The sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock. A panel of the Peaceful Poppies DSP is added to give the sentiment a bit of flair. This is such a beautiful paper.

Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer

Happy Monday morning is here and are you still feeling draggy from all that heavy food you have eaten over the weekend. 🙂

The card will fit the challenge at Just Us Girls.

Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock is used as the card base as well as the background panel that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Woodland Embossing Folder.

The deer is cropped from a Stampin’ Up! Gold Foil Sheet and adhered using liquid glue. The sequins are from a Paper Pumpkin but I do not remember which kit. As sequins are left from a Paper Pumpkin I add to my stash. The deer’s bowtie is a scrap of ribbon and I colored it using a Stampin’ Up! Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Marker so it would be the color to match the roses.

The roses are fussy cut from a panel of Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Stampin’ Up! 1/2″ Very Vanilla Classic Weave Ribbon has Merry Christmas on it, to make my greeting, I cut one of the Merry Christmas and popped it among the roses.
