Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Around The Corner
Welcome and Happy Chilly Monday! 51 Days until the “Big” event. Think of all the work you have ahead for that big event and then it is over in the blink of an eye and you are exhausted! We work so hard to make our Christmas celebration fun and beautiful and the day is over much too soon for all the work. I think we should just take a cruise and enjoy Christmas on a ship someplace! Wanta make reservations? 😉
The card for today is created let’s just say with Stampin’ Up! products, since there are so many I used today!
My design inspiration comes from CAS(E) This Sketch.
In starting this card, the first thing I did was to color the art piece that I had cut from Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad DSP. I used Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in Light Real Red and Light Mango Melody. For the inside pieces, I then fussy cut them. Don’t you just love fussy cutting, that why I have special scissors.😉

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock with a mat of Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder. A banner created using Stampin’ Up! Garden Lane Designer Series Paper and a Basic Black mat. This is adhered down the middle of the card front.
The art piece is a 3-1/8″ Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad DSP and colored with Stampin’ Blends. The mat is Basic Black card stock and has the greeting from Stampin’ Up! Around The Corner stamped in the lower-left corner in Stampin’ Up! Gold Delicata Metallic Ink. Three Stampin’ Up! Gold Glitter Enamel Dots are adhered in the right corner. A bow made from Stampin’ Up! Gold Shimmer Ribbon (from the Christmastime Is Here Suite) is popped on the corner of the art piece using a Stampin’ Up! Mini Glue Dot.

The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and is decorated using flowers and a bird fussy cut from the Bird Ballad DPS. As I stated earlier, the flowers were colored using Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the colored Bird Ballad DSP also to finish out my project.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

This was an easy card again to make, just a few snips and cuts and a bit of fussy cutting and it was finished. The card base is Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock with a mat for the art pieces that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.
The art pieces have a Basic Black mat and a Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake art piece that has been sprinkled with Tuxedo Memento Black ink using the sprinkle stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront Stamp Set.
The feathers are fussy cut from a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad DSP. The feathers make me think of Fall leaves that have changed colors, therefore, I am also playing at
I cropped the word “thanks” 4 times using the die from the Stampin’ Up! Well Written Dies, three from Basic Black card stock and one from Stampin’ Up! Cajun Craze card stock.

I am sharing a card today created from Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set. I did use a little flower from the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set.

Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock is the card base. A panel of the Whisper White the same size as the card is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder, then adhered to the card from with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I find it easier to emboss a separate panel and then adhere to the card front than trying to make sure the fold of the card is exactly on the edge of the embossing folder and then sometimes the card stock will slip and you have a crooked embossed panel. Once it is adhered you will not notice it as a separate panel.
A 2″ wide strip is cut and matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock then adhered to the card front. Four squares are also cut from the Pretty Peacock card stock for the mats for the birds from Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad DSP. The squares are adhered with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Up! Stampin Dimensionals.
The inside sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock on a Whisper White card stock panel and has birds that have been fussy cut adhered in the left corner. The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock ink on a Whisper White panel.
In finishing, I gave a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope the remaining panel of the Bird Ballad DSP and fussy cut some of the birds for the envelope front.

The card I am sharing today is from Stampin’ Up! Born to Shine Stamp Set. This stamp is ballet and you can see why I need a card with a ballerina on it. When we think of the University of Alabama we always think football, but they have a great school of dance that you never hear about unless you have a dancer.
