Stampin’ Up! Pretty Prints

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Prints

The card I am sharing today is a combination of Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set for the sentiment, Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles for the greeting, Pretty Prints DSP for the background, and Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Print Dies for the wreath.

Inspiration for my card design is the challenge at the Global Design Project.

I decided to be different and let the Designer Series Paper be the card base.  I used a panel of the Blackberry Bliss from Pretty Prints DSP as the base.

I adhered a panel of the Pretty Prints DSP to a Basic White card stock mat, then adhered them to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cropped two wreaths from Basic White card stock using the wreath die from Nature’s Print Dies.  I adhered them together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then popped the wreath on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I colored a few Pearl Basic Jewels with a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends Marker and popped them around the card front along with several white pearls.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Sending Dies.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A short piece of the Pretty Prints DSP is applied down the side of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets DSP from Pretty Prints DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose

The card shared today is created using Abigail Rose DSP, a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set, a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set and Stampin’ Blends Markers in Petal Pink and Soft Succulent.

The card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″ Soft Suede card stock ( you can see in the photo above where to score and fold the card) with panels of Abigail Rose DSP in two different patterns adhered to the card front.  A greeting is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock, cropped using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies, and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flower pot is a piece of Early Espresso card stock embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder after creating the pot. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ of Early Espresso,  measure 1/2″ from each side of the bottom of the square, mark with a pencil, and trim from the top corners to the 1/2″ mark at the bottom to create the pot.  This example is from another post and the flower pot is embossed in the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

This is a flower pot easel card created using Abigail Rose DSP.  Score your Soft Suede 4-1/4″ x 11″ card stock at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″.  Fussy cut the flowers from the Abigail Rose DSP and color the flowers using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Petal Pink and Soft Succulent.  Adhere Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper to the card base. Two different patterns of the DSP are used.  Cards cuts will be at the end of this post.

At the score line fold this section up.  Adhere the flower pot just above the score line probably 1/2″ above. I used tear & tape but I would think other adhesives would work just as well.  Pop Stampin’ Dimensionals on the flowers, be sure to notice where you are adding them so you will not place in a spot that will cause your card to be sealed.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set is stamped in Soft Suede ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and fussy cut.  It is adhered to the card to create the stop for your flower pot.

Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dot are popped around the card front.  A bow is made using a length of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon.  It is popped on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot.

A medium Basic White envelope gets DSP from Abigail Rose DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Awash in Beauty Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Awash in Beauty Thinking of You

My friend’s son home for a visit on their farm.  Thank you to the young man holding this flag, he knows the sacrifice that may be called on him to make.

Happy Independence Day everyone.  Land of the free because of so many sacrifices for this country throughout the centuries.  You are blessed to live in such a land.  Many complain about our country but really do not understand how blessed they are to be able to live in a country where they have the right to complain. With all our problems, we are still the best country in the world, if not why do so many risk so much to try and get into our country.

The card I am sharing today is one of six from this panel of Awash in Beauty DSP.  I used greetings from the stamp sets in the photo.  The DSP does all the work.

My challenge for today is with Use Your Stuff Challenge.  Their theme is flowers.

My card base for this card is Granny Apple Green with a mat for the focal panel of Merry Merlot card stock.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  These are becoming my go-to dies for greetings.  I added a scrap of a frilly cut-out behind the greeting a piece of ribbon and a bow created using a length of Crumb Cake twine from the Bakers Twine Essential Pack.

Sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic, Pansy Patch, and Hello Ladybug is stamped on a Basic White card stock panel.  Flowers from Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set is stamped in Old Olive ink across the bottom of the panel and colored using Watercolor pencils.

A medium Basic White envelope gets flowers from Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set stamped in Old Olive ink to the envelope flap, then colored using Watercolor Pencils.

This is a picture of the six cards created using one panel of the Awash in Beauty DSP.  The card top row left has a Mossy Meadow card stock base with a layer of Merry Merlot card stock for a mat. The card top row middle had a Granny Apple card stock base with a Merry Merlot card stock mat. The card top row right has an Old Olive card stock base with a Merry Merlot card stock mat.

The bottom row left has a Merry Merlot card stock base with a Balmy Blue card stock mat.  The bottom row middle has a Balmy Blue card stock base with a Mossy Meadow card stock mat.  The bottom right has a Granny Apple Green card stock base with a Merry Merlot card stock mat.

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Hello There

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Hello There

The card I share today is created using a flower fussy cut from the Wonderful World DSP.  This is a free item with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration.  Look at all the beautiful flowers and imagine all the beautiful cards you can create using these flowers. I also used a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set.

The design for my card today is inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for today.

I have a Basic White card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the  Stripes 3D Embossing Folder from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders.  I adhered this panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a panel of Awash in Beauty DSP.  Don’t you think this panel looks embossed that is just the design to give it that textured look?  I stamped a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and adhered this panel across the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The flower is fussy cut from a panel of Wonderful World DSP.  You can see a panel at the top of this post. I popped it over the pink panel and beside the greeting using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tied a small bow using Crumb Cake twine from the Bakers Twine Essential Pack and popped it on the stem of the flower.  Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels are popped around the card front.

A rose from the same panel as the flower on the card front is fussy cut and adhered to a Basic White card stock panel.  The panel is then adhered to the card base.

A medium Basic White envelope gets DSP from Awash in Beauty DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose Thinking of You

The card I am creating today is created using Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper and Texture Chic Designer Series Paper.

I am joining the Krafty Chicks Challenge — theme for this week is Anything Goes.

I am also joining the Creative Creases Challenge as it is a fun fold challenge always.

I started with a card base of Soft Suede.  You can see the scoring and cut line in the picture below.  The greeting is one from my box ( I have a box of greetings so I sometimes can’t remember the stamp set).

I used this diagram in another post recently.  It is Sharon Armstrong’s diagram.  Happy I found out who to give credit to.  Cut and score your card base according to the diagram.  Score each side 2-1/8″ from edge of card stock.  Score at 5-1/2″ the same as if you were making a regular card.  Cut away the dark gray sections.  Score the top portion, after you cut away the section on each side.

This is how the card looks when opened flat.  You can see the card cuts at the end of the post for the Pool Party card stock mats and  Texture Chic DSP.  The flowers are fussy cut from a panel of Abigail Rose DSP and colored using Petal Pink and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends Markers.  When you popped the flowers over the pot be sure to only add dimensionals down the middle of so you won’t end up gluing your flowers to the background DSP.

This is how the card looks when it is opened up to form an easel card.  The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set and is stamped in Soft Suede ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the All That Dies.

The flower pot is a piece of Early Espresso card stock embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder after creating the pot. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ of Early Espresso,  measure 1/2″ from each side of the bottom of the square, mark with a pencil, and trim from the top corners to the 1/2″ mark at the bottom to create the pot.

I added a panel on the back for a message.

A medium Basic White envelope gets DSP from Texture Chic DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.
