Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow In My Thoughts

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow In My Thoughts

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Stamp Set, Meadow Dies, Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder, and numerous other little elements.

My challenge for today is with Use Your Stuff Challenge.  The theme is Spring/Easter.

My card is a fun fold for today and is CASed from Mary Deatherage’s video yesterday.  I loved the way the fun fold was done, so easy.  Thank you, Mary.  I’m sure the design of the card front is a CAS of one I saw on Pinterest or a video I watched.  I watch so many videos late, late nights, that it’s hard to remember where they belong.  I started with a Night of Navy card stock base.

On a panel of Basic White card stock, I stamped in Balmy Blue ink stamping off once, the dot flourish using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set. I, also, stamped the words from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set in Balmy Blue ink across the top of the panel.  I then embossed the panel using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered this to a mat of Basic White card stock also.

These are the flowers and stem you need to crop using the Meadow Dies and the color of each card stock or ink color used.  Crop two of the stems that look like leaves of a plant. Crop 3 of the large flowers from Basic White card stock, using  Blending Brushes, color the flower with Night of Navy ink, and the stems of the flower using Old Olive ink.

Crop the butterfly using a die from the Brilliant Wings Dies.  Color half of the butterfly using Night of Navy ink and the other half using Night of Navy ink.  I colored a doily, I am sure long retired, using Night of Navy ink and a Blending Brush.  The centers of the flowers are cropped from a scrap of Night of Navy card stock.

The greeting is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, and popped on the card front.  Arrange the flowers and leaves over and under the doily, adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a panel of Basic White card stock, color around the edges making it look like a shadow.  Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on the upper portion of the panel. On the lower portion, adhere a flower and a butterfly.  Add two Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the sentiment panel is finished.  Adhere the panel to the back of the card base.  It goes on the back as this is a fun fold and the card can not be opened as it usually is opened.

Cut a 3-1/4″ x 4″ panel of Night of Navy card stock. Score on the short side at 3/8″ on both sides of the short end. Score at 1-3/8″ which will be between the two 3/8″ scorelines.  Fold and score each of the 3/8″ ends. Fold & score the 1-5/8″ line making it a mountain fold.  Apply Tear & Tape to each 3/8″ score. Remove the covering from one of the sides with Tear & Tape and adhere as close as possible to the inside edge of the card base at the bottom.  Remove the other covering on the other side and close the card carefully, adhering this side to the card.  See diagram as to where the tent is.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Neutral 6″ x 6″  DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance

Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance

The I am sharing today is created using the Heart & Home DSP and a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance stamp set.

The challenge I am entering today is the Sunday Stamps Challenge

My card base is Basic White card stock. A panel of the Heart & Home DSP is matted on a panel of Garden Green card stock and adhered to the card base.  Two thin strips of a different pattern DSP from the Heart & Home DSP are cut and adhered to the top and bottom of the panel.

A different pattern of the DSP is cropped in the center of the panel using a Layering Circle Die.  The panel is then matted on a Garden Green card stock panel.  The cropped-out circle is popped back into the circle using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A rose is fussy cut from the DSP and popped on the circle beside the other rose.

Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped on the rose and another spot on the card.  Genial Gems are scattered around the card front, one being popped on the greeting  The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Rose stamp set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  A length of Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack is tied in a bow and adhered to the circle with a Glue Dot.  The greeting is popped over the bow.

A Basic White card stock panel gets a border of flowers that have been fussy cut from a panel of the Heart & Home DSP.  It is then matted on a panel of Garden Green card stock and adhered to the card base.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Heart & Home DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Floral Heart with Eden’s Garden

Stampin’ Up! Floral Heart with Eden’s Garden

I used the Stampin’ Up! Eden’s Garden stamp set and Floral Dies to create the card I am sharing today.  Have you ever found that sometimes the simplest card can cause the most difficulties?I am entering the Inspire Create Challenge for this card.  I love creating cards with layers that are not straight.

I am also entering the Pinspirational Challenge. The challenge is to use the quote as inspiration or to use the colors in the picture, totally our choice!!

My card base is Pool Party. I cut a panel of Rich Razzleberry for the mat for my panel Sweet Talk DSP.  I adhered this to the card base at an angle.

Using a Bermuda Bay leftover panel from the August 2021 Paper Pumpkin, I added it over the already angled panel on the card front.  I angled it in the opposite direction.  You can use Bermuda Bay card stock for this panel or color a panel of Basic White card stock with Bermuda Bay ink and spray water over it to get the droplet effect.

I cropped the heart from a panel of Basic White card stock using the large heart die from the Floral Heart Dies.  I popped this over the Bermuda Bay panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Eden’s Garden stamp set, stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and popped inside the heart using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are scattered around the card front.

For the inside of the card, I angled the panels the way the card front is angled.  I added little hearts down the side coloring each one in a color of the Pinspirational Challenge.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Sweet Talk DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Just A Card…

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Just A Card…

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set and the Hand Penned DSP.  My card is a CAS of Mary Deatherage.

Since this is a fun fold I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge, it is always a fun fold and they are my favorite but don’t always make.

The first thing I did was to score and cut a panel of Soft Succulent card stock.  You can see the diagram above for scoring and cutting.   Put the short side (the 5-1/2″ side) in the Paper Trimmer, I cut the card stock 1-1/2″ from the edge of the card stock, from the first score line down to the third score line.  You need to turn the paper around and do the same on the other side. 1-1/2″ cut on both sides from score line to score line.

You can see in the diagram above how to fold after scoring and cutting.

This is how the card looks out flat to add the mats and DSP. I should have taken a picture before I added the flower piece and greeting.

Here are the card cuts which are usually at the end of the post.  You will need the following.

  • Soft Succulent card stock — this is the card base. Cut 5-12″ x 8-1/2″  — score, cut and fold according to the diagram above.
  • Basic Black card stock
    • mats for the DSP pieces –( cut 2) mats 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″
    • mats for the DSP — (cut 4)  1-1/4″ x 1-7/8″
  • Hand Penned DSP
    • (cut 2) 1-3/4″ x 5-1/8″
    • (cut 2) 1-3/4″ x 2-1/8″
    • (cut 4) 1-1/8″ x 1-3/4″  I used two different patterns for this as I wanted to add other elements to these panels.
  • Basic White card stock
    • front panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″ I used the next to the largest Scalloped Contour Dies to crop this piece.
    • envelope flat — 2-1/4″ x 6″
  • Highland Heather card stock used to crop the flowers using a die from the Tulip Dies

You can see from the diagram how the mats and DSP are put together and adhered to the card base.

I colored the Scalloped Contour cropped piece using Soft Succulent, Daffodil Delight ink, and a Blending Brush. Stamped grass in Soft Succulent ink.  I stamped a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set in Highland Heather ink, I stamped again in Soft Succulent ink.  I fussy cut all the pieces and paper pieced to get the flowers the way I wanted.  I used Mini Glue Dots to adhered the flower heads to the stems.   The flower piece is popped on the colored panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Special Moments stamp set is stamped in Soft Succulent ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped with a die long retired but any die could be used that fits the greeting.  Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped in several spot on the card along with Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips A Little Note

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips A Little Note

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tullip stamp set.  I also use a die from the Ornate Frame Dies, the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder,  and Flowering Tulips DSP.

My challenge for the day is the Krafty Chicks Challenge.

My card base is Basic White card stock.  I embossed a panel of Poppy Parade card stock using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder adhering it to the card base.

A strip of Flowering Fields DSP is cut and adhered down the left side over the embossed panel. A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Ornate Frame Dies. It is adhered over the Flowering Fields DSP.

On a piece of Basic White card stock tulip images from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulip stamp set is stamped in Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, and Early Espresso ink.  As each flower was stamped, I stamped Versa Mark over the image, sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over the image, and heat embossed.  I did this to give the tulips a bit of a shine, you can see it in some of the pictures.  This piece is matted on Old Olive card stock and popped over the Ornate Frame panel with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack is wrapped around the panel before it is adhered.  A tiny tag from the Tailor Made Tags is stamped with a greeting and tied with the end of the twine and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional is used to pop the tag up.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Flowering Fields DSP applied to the envelope flap.
