Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Thinking of You

Good Morning all, this was supposed to be yesterday’s card but I kept having computer issues since Tuesday evening and was ready to give up on getting to post.  Whatever it was cleared itself up.

The card I am sharing today is a combination of several stamp sets.  Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Stamp Set for the main flowers, Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set for the flowers on the background along with the Very Versailles Stamp Set. Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set and Pansy Patch Stamp Set are the greeting and sentiment.

Inspiration for this challenge comes from the Hand Stamp Sentiment Challenge.  I chose the pink colors for my inspiration.

To start, I colored a panel of Basic White card stock using Polished Pink ink and a Blending Brush.  After coloring  I  cut the panel in half, embossing the panel using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  Next using Smoky Slate and Mint Macaron inks the Very Versailles Stamp Set and the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set were stamped on half of a panel of Basic White card stock.  The embossed Polished Pink panel is adhered to the other half of the panel.  Amazing how light the Polished Pink can be when applied lightly to Basic White ard stock.

The peonies were stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink stamped off once so it would be lighter and not show up too strong.  I wish I had taken a picture of the main peony so the color of it would have shown how it changed in color also.  After I finished coloring the one at the bottom of the card front, I thought O’, I am going to have to stamp another peony and color it because this one is too orangey and yellow.  Look at the first frame at the top.  See how orangey looks.  The next one is after it had dried for a few hours, I had heard in a video can’t remember who did the video that colors changed once dried,  believe me, it has.  You can see the difference in each frame of the pictures.  I used Polished Pink  and Granny Apple Green ink to color the peonies and leaves.

After the coloring and drying the peonies are arranged over the embossed panel matted on a panel of Melon Mambo card stock.  2021-2023 In Color Jewels are randomly placed around the card front.

The Basic White card stock sentiment panel is matted on a panel of Melon Mambo as the one on the card front.  A sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts and Pansy Petals Stamp Sets is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The peony is colored using the Polished Pink and Granny Apple Green ink.  Notice the pink color of this one.  Seems that no two can be the same color.  The center of the peony is So Saffron ink.

A Basic White medium envelope is embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder as is the Melon Mambo panel that is the mat for the art piece.  Using a Blending Brush, Polished Pink ink is brushed over the embossed flap.

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch

Can you believe it is already Wednesday and the middle of the week.  Seems only yesterday it was the weekend.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Pansy Dies that coordinate with the Pansy Patch Stamp Set.  I also used the Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder.

My inspiration for this card comes from the Sunday Stamp Challenge.  It is a color challenge and I chose the colors Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, and Soft Succulent Stamp Pads and Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I started with a Basic White card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Another panel was cropped using the Stitched With Whimsy Dies.  This panel has the pansies popped on it.

The pansies and leaves are cropped using the Pansy Dies.  I cropped enough for three pansies to be created.  The pansies are colored using a sponge for applying the ink.  The edges of the pansies and the light pink color that appears on the inside of the pansy petals is from Cherry Cobbler ink,  the center is Calypso Coral ink applied lightly.  The center part that resembles a butterfly is colored using Calypso Coral patted on the pieces several times to get it to the dark color.

The leaves are colored with Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The Hello is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and popped on the card front.  Three Pearl Basic Jewels are colored using the Evening Evergreen Maker and popped around the card front.  The White Faux Linen ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack is colored by patting Calypso Coral ink on it using a sponge.  It is adhered under the pansy using a Mini Glue Dot.

A pansy and bud are colored and adhered to a Basic White panel for the sentiment panel.

A panel of Subtle 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is cut and adhered to the Basic White envelope flap.  This panel of DSP is Calpyso Coral and matches the colors used for the flowers.

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells

Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Any exciting plan?

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set along with the Tasteful Textile and Seabed 3D Embossing Folders.  I also used Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight, and Seaside Spray Classic Stamp Pads and Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends Combo Marker.

Inspiration for my challenge comes from these two challenges, the first is Fusion Card Challenge. It has a sketch and a photo challenge, which happens to be seashells.

Another–  Seize the Birthday – Theme Nautical.

I started with a Night of Navy card stock with a panel of Seaside Spray card stock embossed using the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Night of Navy card stock is cropped using a die from the Scallop Contour Dies and adhered over the embossed panel to become the mat for the Basic White card stock panel art panel that gets embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder after a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Elegantly Said Cling Stamp Set is stamped on the panel in Misty Moonlight ink.  The scallops on the Night of Navy panel resembles waves on the ocean.

The starfish and sand dollars are stamped on a scrap of paper, do not know which DSP it is from as it was in the scrap bin. Even though there are dies to crop them, I fussy cut them out.  They were then popped on the Basic White card stock panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three Opal Rounds are popped around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock is stamped with sand dollars and a starfish from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set. I used a post-it note to mask each sand dollar as I stamped them in Seaside Spray ink.

A medium Basic White envelope has the envelope flap stamped using Seaside Spray ink with the sand dollars and starfish images from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower

Good Day, it is Wednesday and you are on the downhill side toward the weekend.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower Stamp Set.  I believe this is the first card in a while that I do not have an embossed panel.  The giant sunflower and DSP make up the card.

My design today is inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.

I started with Flirty Flamingo card stock as the base, adding layers of DSP matted on Basic White card stock.  The Calyspo Coral polka dot panel from You’re A Peach DSP is used as the background panel.  A panel of Sweet Symmetry DSP is added down the middle, with the final layer being from Hand Penned DSP.

The giant sunflower from Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Sunflower Dies.  it is then popped on using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz, fussy cut, and popped around the sunflower.

The greeting is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap left from the Hand Penned DSP, fussy cut and popped on the card front

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of You’re A Peach DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour

Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour

Hope your day is going well and that you are having a sunny but cool day, here it is hot and humid–that’s Georgia weather.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Stamp Set, along with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

Inspiration for my card today comes from the Fusion Challenge. I chose the sketch challenge along with the pink flowers.

Start with a Basic White card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Cut a strip of Hand Penned DSP and adhered down the right side of the card front.  Stamp flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  Let the ink dry well or use your heat tool before you start coloring.  Use Stampin’ Blends Markers in Polished Pink, Soft Succulent, and the Color Lifer to color the leaves and flowers.  You will use the Color Lifer a lot to get the color of pink needed.

Fussy cut the flowers & leaves. Pop the flowers and leaves on using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots. Stamp a greeting from the Color & Contour Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and fussy cut, then pop on the card with a glue dot.

I used another flower from the Color & Contour Stamp Set for the inside panel. They are colored using the same color of Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
