Stampin’ Up! Splendid Autumn
I have seen this card made recently by several different people, so I thought I would give it a try. The beautiful Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper does most of the work. This piece is my favorite from the entire 48 pieces, I would love a full pack of this designer or at least 12 pieces. I also used a butterfly from Sketched Butterflies Dies, and a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp Set. This is a very easy design and can make for a beautiful card if the right paper is used.
Challenges I am entering this card.
Triple B — Birds, Butterflies, & Blooms
Never Before Used Schtuff (NBUS)
Card Cuts:
- Mossy Meadow cardstock
- card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
- strips — (cut 4) 1/8″ x 4″ for each strip
- Basic White cardstock
- inside panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper
- focal panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Textured Metallic 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper
- mat for flower card front — 2-1/4″ square for die cutting
- Start with the Mossy Meadow card base.
- Cut a piece of Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper.
- Using the next to smallest die from Sylish Shapes Dies, die cut the flower from the center of the panel of Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper.
- Using the next largest die from these dies, die cut the mat from Gold Textured Metallic Specialty Paper.
- Adhere the die cut flower to the gold mat using adhesive of choice, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere the matted flower over the spot where you die cut it from the panel of Splendid Autumn using adhesive of choice.
- Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of choice, adhere the 1/8″ strips around the matted flower in the middle of the panel. Start with adhering a strip in the upper left as the photo shows. Continue around the flower until all strips have been adhered.
- Die cut a butterfly from the Gold Textured Metallic Specialty Paper.
- Adhere the butterfly in the lower left section of the card. (see photo)
- Add bling to the butterfly if you so choose.
- Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock.
- Fussy cut the greeting.
- Adhere the greeting to a scrap of Gold Textured Metallic Specialty Paper and fussy cut again.
- Pop the greeting at the top of the card on the left using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere a strip of Splendid Autumn Specialty Paper to the left side of a panel of Basic White cardstock.
- Adhere the panel to the inside of the card.
- A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Regals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (I used a Gorgeous Grape piece) adhered to the envelope flap using adhesive of choice.
