Petal Promenade – Stampin with Shirley G

Beautiful Promenade

My card today is created using the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the coordinating DSP. It makes for a lovely card. It is for a strong young woman who had an accident when she was 19 and became paralyzed from the waist down. She is a very productive, active life and is an encouragement to all who meet her. She certainly an inspiration when we complain about little day to day ache and pains and say oh I feel too bad to do that today. She carrys on and works long, long hours each day to see her dream fulfilled.

My sketch inspirations comes from the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge for this week.

The card recipe:

Start with a panel of Petal Pink card stock for the card base.
Cut a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ panel and emboss using the Subtle Textured Impression Embossing Folder.
Cut a 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock and a panel 1-1/8″ x 3-1/8″. These are mats for the Petal Promenade DSP.
Cut a 2-3/8″ x 3-5/8″ panel of Petal Promenade DSP and a 1″ x 3″ panel of the same DSP.
Adhered the Petal Promenade DSP to the Blackberry Bliss card stock using Liquid Glue.
Cut a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ square from the reverse side of the Petal Promenade DSP that you cut previously.
Stamp in the upper corner using Mossy Meadow ink one of the flowers from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.
then stamp in Fresh Fig ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock the same flower.
Stamp the greeting in the lower left corner using Blackberry Bliss Ink.
Fussy cut just the Fresh Fig flower.
Pop the flower using Mini Stamping Dimensionals that have been cut in half over the Mossy Green flower in the upper corner of the 2-12″ x 2-1/2″ square.
Cut a 2-5/8″ square from the Blackberry Bliss card stock. This is the mat for the art piece with the flower and the greeting.
Pop 2 pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls onto the art piece.
Adhere all the panels the way they show in the picture onto the Subtle embossed panel.
Adhere the Petal Pink panel to the card base.
Scatter three more pearls over the Petal Pink embossed panel after all the other smaller panels have been adhered.
The bow is made using Fresh Fig Mini Ruffle ribbon and adhered with a Glue Dot.
The inside sentiment is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Whisper White that is matted on a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock.
A different flower from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow in the right corner of the sentiment panel.

Flourishing Phrases and Petal Promenade DSP

Thank you for letting me pop into your inbox several times a week during 2018. It has been such a blessing to be able to share my cards with you. I hope that you will continue that blessing for me during 2019.

The card today is a combination of Flourishing Phrases, Petals and More Thinlits and Petal Promenade DSP.

The sketch for this card is from Fab Fri 153 Challenge.

Steps to creating this card:

Cut a card base 4-1/4″ x 11″ and score at 5-1/2″ using Powder Pink card stock.
Cut a mat 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ using Smokey Slate card. Emboss the Smokey Slate mat using the Subtle TIEF.
Adhere to the Powder Pink card base.
Fussy cut the wreath from the panel of Petal Promenade DSP.
Stamp in Tranquil Tide ink the greeting from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.‘
Pop the wreath on the Smokey Slate mat using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Color the three pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewel assortment using a Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.
Pop the three pearls in the middle of the wreath at the bottom.
Cut the decorative flourish from the Petals and More Thinlits using the Big Shot.
Adhere to the Smokey Slate mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Pop the wreath over the decorative flourish using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut 4″ x 5-1/4″ a panel from Smokey Slate card stock to use as the mat for the sentiment panel.
Cut a panel of Whisper White card stock 3-3/4″ x 5″ to stamp the sentiment on.
Stamp the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases stamp set using Tranquil Tide ink on the Whisper White panel and adhere using Liquid Glue to the Smokey Slate panel.
Adhere the Smokey Slate mat with the sentiment panel on it to the Powder Pink card base.
Fussy cut a piece of the garland from the Petal Promenade DSP (picture above).

Butterfly Gala and Climbing Roses

Is there a rush on at your home with Christmas being tomorrow ? I was at the grocery store yesterday and kept hearing comments of how tired I am. People rush and hurry getting everything to perfection or so they think, only to end up so tired they can not enjoy the day when it arrives. Even when I was a little girl, I can remember my grandmother and aunt hurrying about sewing dresses, crocheting scarves and most of all baking. I can remember my grandmother and aunt baking at least 20 cakes each, and to think they were all eaten during the Christmas festivities. People were always dropping in to visit and it was cake and coffee for everyone. Can you imagine baking 20 cakes in just a few days before Christmas. I can remember they were always moist and delicious. Another aunt, made a chocolate cake with black walnuts that is the most delicious cake you will ever eat. I think it must have been a tradition in the community to see who could bake the most cakes so they could tell it on Sunday at church.

Well, I truly hope everyone is ready and relax a bit on Christmas Eve. Christmas at our house is today as my daughter-in-law is a nurse and it is her year to work on Christmas Day. Wonder how many Christmas babies she will have.

I am playing along at Try Stampin On Tuesday Challenge 388.

Card base is a 4-1/4″ x 11″ panel of Very Vanilla card stock, scored at 5-1/2″ and folded in half on score line.
Cut a 4” x 5-1/4” panel of Mossy Meadow card stock, using the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add texture to the panel.
Cut a panel of Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper 2” x 4-7/8”
Cut a panel of Very Vanilla card stock 2-1/4″ x 5″ for one of the mats for the DSP panel.
Cut a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock 2-1/8” x 4-7/8” for the smaller mat.
Adhere the DSP panel and the two mats with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere the panels to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Stamp the greeting from the Climbing Roses stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.
Use the dies from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies to cut out the greeting and a mat of Mossy Meadow card stock. Adhere with Liquid Glue.
Use the stamp and die from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Bundle and stamp in Mossy Meadow ink and then crop the butterfly. Adhere with a Glue dot. Adhere two Pearls from the Pearls Basic Jewel assortment to the body of the butterfly.
To adhere the greeting panel to the card front use Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right side so the panel will be even when it is adhered to the Petal Promenade panel. Use Liquid Glue on the left side of the panel.
There is no inside sentiment as it is left blank to write a note.

Petal Promenade DSP and Vertical Greetings

This is an easy card, great for a beginner or anyone that wants a fast and easy card. The card is created using the Petal Promenade DSP and the Vertical Greeting stamp set.My sketch inspiration comes from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for this week

The card base is Mossy Meadow and the mat is Blushing Bride embossed with the Subtle TIEF. The Mossy Meadow mats for the Petal Promenade DSP art panels are cut 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ The DSP is cut 2-1/8″ 4-1/8″. These are adhered to the Mossy Meadow panel using Multipurpose Glue.

The DSP for the “Thank You” greeting was fussy cut from a panel of the Petal Promenade DSP. The panel had to be cut into two pieces to get it to fit he 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ Mossy Meadow panel. The Vertical Greeting “Thank You” was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. Several sequins from the Sequin Assortment has been scattered around the panel

Since this is a thank you card there is no inside sentiment, only a blank panel of Whisper White to write your thank you note on. A panel of Blushing Bride has been used to mat the Whisper White note,

Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette with Petal Promenade

Welcome today’s post is an easy card, but a real pretty card.

The Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette stamp set and the Petal Promenade DSP has been used to create an anniversary card that will be entered in the Fab Friday 149 challenge this week.

A 4” x 5-1/4” panel of Mossy Meadow was used as the mat for the 3-3/4” x 5” Petal Promenade DSP. This was then adhered to the Powder Pink card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Two squares 2-5/8” x 2-5/8” were cut from Mossy Meadow using the Layering Square Framelits Dies. These were used as the mats for the art pieces, which were cut 2-1/8” x 2-1/8”. One art piece is from the Petal Promenade DSP and the other is Whisper White, which has one of the sentiments stamped on it in Mossy Meadow ink. A single sequin from the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequin Pack is adhered to the corned of the stamped art piece.

A Powder Pink bow made using the Powder Pink Mini-Ruffle Ribbon is adhered with a Glue Dot.

The inside 5” x 3-3/4” Whisper White panel is adhered onto a 5-1/4” x 4” Mossy Meadow Panel. The inside sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow. A strip from one of the Petal Promenade DSP piece is fussy cut and adhered to the bottom of the sentiment panel.

Design today come from the FabFriday 149 Challenge.
