All My Love and Flourishing Phrases

All My Love and Flourishing Phrases

This was a fun card to make using the new All My Love DSP (available January 3 in the new Occasions catalog)  It made a great looking card that is easy and any beginner would be happy to make it, it is so easy.

The sketch layout for this card comes from the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge for this week.  There are many beautiful cards that have entered. Click the link and look at all of them.  You may even want to join the challenge.

The card base is Whisper White Thick cardstock cut 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. The mat is a panel of the All My Love DSP cut 4 1/8″x 5-3/8″.  The focal panel is another piece from the All My Love DSP papers.  It is cut 4″ x 5-1/4″ and then adhered to the red polka dot panel from the All My Love DSP then red polka dot Washi Tape from the Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape bundle is adhered to each corner of these two panels.  They are then popped onto the Whisper White card base using Stampin Dimensionals.

The white love panel is cut 1-1/2″ x 2-3/4″.  It is cut using one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies.  The red mat is cut 1-5/8″ x 2-7/8″ and Liquid Glue is used to adhere the white panel to it.  The word love is cut using the Big Shot and cut from a panel of the All My Love DSP using  the love die from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Die set.  Four of the love’s were cut and adhered together to give the word some dimension.  It is also adhered to the Whisper White panel using Liquid Glue.  The complete piece is popped on the All My Love panel using  Mini Stamping Dimensionals.  A flower from a scrap of the All My Love DSP is fussy cut and popped over the word love using a Stampin Dimensional.

The inside sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set is stamped using Lovely Lipstick ink.  The Happy Anniversary retired stamp is the only anniversary stamp I could find in my stash.

Thank you for stopping by today.  My hope is that you found encouragement and inspiration for all your creations.

Joyous Noel and Christmas Blessings

Joyous Noel and Christmas Blessings

Well, Thanksgiving and Black Friday are history for 2018.  My hope is that you made wonderful history for your Thanksgiving that will leave lasting fun memories.  About Black Friday, I can’t say.  I did not venture out.  I can remember the days when I was one of those crazies that would stay all night in Walmart.  Walmart sometimes surprised us and gave away gifts, but those days are long gone.  Now I avoid Walmart on a normal day if possible.  Sometimes though it is  necessary to go, so I do what our former governor, Zell Miller said, “Bite the bullet and get it done.”

The card for today is real simple. A few paper cuts and two stamping and you have a card.

The design comes from the As You See It Challenge #189  for his week.

  • The base is Smokey Slate card stock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″
  • The first mat is Tranquil Tide which is cut 5-1/4″ x 4″
  • The second mat is Joyous Noel DSP cut 5″ x 3-3/4″
  • These are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • The third mat is a panel of Tranquil Tide also and is cut 4-1/8″ x 2-7/8″
  • This is popped on the Joyous Noel, second mat, using Stamping Dimensionals after the art piece with the deer is adhered.
  • The panel of deer from the Joyous Noel DSP is cut 4″ x 2-5/8″ and then cut into 1″ strip and adhered to the Tranquil Tide mat.
  • The mat for the greeting is cut using Label Framelits. It is cut from Tranquil Tide and the piece the sentiment is stamped on is Whisper White.
  • The sentiment is popped on with Stampin Dimensionals.
  • The ribbon is Stampin’ Up! 1/8″ gold ribbon.

The  greeting which is usually on the front is on the inside for this card.  It is stamped in Tranquil Tide ink on a panel of Whisper White that is matted on a panel of Tranquil Tide. The leaf motif is from the Christmas Pines stamp set as is the greeting.

Thanks for stopping by today.  As always, my wish for you is that you find encouragement and inspiration for your own creative ideas.  Visit often.

Humming Along and Sharing What You Love

Humming Along and Sharing What You Love

Welcome! I hope you like my pretty little card.

I decided to play along with the Tuesday Morning Sketches for this card.

The card base is Tranquil Tide, cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″.  The Basic Black mat is 4″ x 5-1/4″ and is popped onto the Tranquil Tide base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and becomes the mat for the three strips of Share What You Love DSP.  Each strip is cut 5″ x 1-1/4″ and adhered to the Basic Black mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.     The greeting is stamped in Memento Black ink on Whisper White card stock and then cut out using a Layering Circle Framelits Die.  A flower was fussy cut from a scrap of the Share What You Love DSP and popped on the edge of the circle with a Linen Thread bow (I call it a Mary Deatherage bow, because she is the one who showed me how to make it, if there is another name, I just re-named it for to me it will forever be a Mary Deatherage bow) adhered with a Glue Dot.  There are 6 raindrops in the circle but they are hard to see.

The inside sentiment is from the Ribbons of Courage stamp (AC) set and the Amazing Life stamp set from the 2019 Occasions catalog available January 3, 2019 to June 3, 2019.

Thanks for stopping by today.  As always, my wish for you is that you find encouragement and inspiration for your own creative ideas.  Visit often.

Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Greetings

Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Greetings

A simple one layer sympathy card.

My design is from CAS(E) this Sketch.

The base is Whisper White cardstock and the art piece is Whisper White, both are embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  The art piece is cut using a rectangle stitched die.  The stamp set  for the tree is a retired set from Stampin Up called White Christmas.

The inside sentiment is stamped on a panel of Whisper White.  The sentiment is so old I do not remember where it is from.  It may be one that I had printed on my computer as it was in my stash of already printed sentiments.

Thank you for stopping by today.  As always my hope is that you found encouragement and inspiration.

Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette with Petal Promenade

Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette with Petal Promenade

Welcome today’s post is an easy card, but a real pretty card.

The Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette stamp set and the Petal Promenade DSP has been used to create an anniversary card that will be entered in the Fab Friday 149 challenge this week.

A   4” x 5-1/4”  panel of  Mossy Meadow was used as the mat for the 3-3/4” x 5” Petal Promenade DSP. This was then adhered to the Powder Pink card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Two squares 2-5/8” x 2-5/8” were cut from Mossy Meadow using the Layering Square Framelits Dies. These were used as the mats for the art pieces, which were cut 2-1/8” x 2-1/8”.  One art piece is from the Petal Promenade DSP and the other is Whisper White, which has one of the sentiments stamped on it in Mossy Meadow ink.  A single sequin from the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequin Pack is adhered to the corned of the stamped art piece.

A Powder Pink bow made using the Powder Pink Mini-Ruffle Ribbon is adhered with a Glue Dot.

The inside 5” x 3-3/4” Whisper White panel is adhered onto a 5-1/4” x 4”  Mossy Meadow Panel.  The inside sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow.  A strip from one of the Petal Promenade DSP piece is fussy cut and adhered to the bottom of the sentiment panel.

Design today come from the FabFriday 149 Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today.  The wish for you is as always that you found encouragement or inspiration for your own creative endeavors.  Visit again soon!
