Climbing Roses
I loved making this card. I think it is so pretty. It is made using the Climbing Roses stamp set.
The inspiration for making it and the challenge for this card is the TGIF Challenge for the week. Stampin’ Blends are the highlight.
The Soft Sea Foam card base doesn’t show up as the color it is, but the card is still beautiful I think. A Highland Heather mat is added next. It is a good mix for the Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White card stock. The Whisper White card stock has been embossed using the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder (DTIEF)
A lattice is cut from a panel of Balmy Blue card stock using the lattice die from the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies that is part of the Climbing Roses bundle. The Fine Tip Glue Pen was used to put the glue on such an intricate piece, it was then adhered to the Whisper White Pinewood Planks embossed panel.
Tuxedo Memento Black Ink is used to stamp the Climbing Rose image on a square of Whisper White Thick card stock. The roses are colored using the Light Highland Heather and Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Pens. The Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter Pen was used to create the shading on the roses.
The greeting from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a Whisper White circle that has been matted on a Soft Sea Foam circle cut from one of the Layering Circle Dies. Leaves have also been cut from Soft Sea Foam card stock. The leaves are adhered to the back of the circle using Glue Dots. A single rose is popped on the Whisper White circle using a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. The Balmy Blue Ribbon is a Sale-A-Bration item and I did not include it in the list of items used as it is no longer available.
The inside sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthdays stamp set and is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a panel of Whisper White that has been matted on a Highland Heather card stock panel. Another stamp from the Climbing Roses stamp set is used to decorate the sentiment page. The flowers are stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and then colored using the same Stampin’ Blends Pens as the other roses.

Card Cuts:
Soft Sea Foam Card Stock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and folded on the scoreline. A 4″ x 4″ square to cut circle and leaves for card front
Highland Heather Card Stock – 4” x 5-1/4” card front and inside mat
Balm Blue Card Stock – 4” x 5” for lattice on card front
Whisper White Card Stock – 3-3/4” x 5” inside sentiment panel; 4” x 4” square for cutting roses on card front
In creating my card for today I used the Climbing Roses stamp set and Botanical Butterfly DSP. This was a fun card to make, but then they all are fun, what am I saying, but I do love butterflies. My inspiration and design come from the challenge this week at
Two butterflies are colored on this panel using Light Old Olive, Light Highland Heather, and Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. The next layer is another Highland Heather panel that is the mat for the Whisper White panel that has the greeting stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. The greeting is from the Climbing Roses stamp set.
This panel has two fussy cut butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP adhered with Glue Dots. The long vertical panel is Highland Heather for the mat and Whisper White for the art piece. 
The butterflies for the art piece has been fussy cut from the Botanical Butterfly DSP also and adhered with Glue Dots to the Whisper White panel. To me, they do not look fussy cut from a panel of the Botanical Butterfly DSP but stamped and colored with watercolor pens or Stampin’ Blend Markers. Using a black fine point pen (non-Stampin’ Up!) just a regular pen you write with, I made dots on this panel. After all the panels were adhered using Liquid Glue the final thing was to pop the finished panel on the Basic Black base. 
The inside sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on the label made from one of the dies in the Climbing Rose bundle. It is adhered to a panel from the Botanical Butterfly DSP that has been matted on a panel of Highland Heather card stock. The butterflies on the Botanical Butterfly DSP panel are colored using Light Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Markers. A Whisper White panel is adhered above the sentiment panel for a note whether it birthday, thinking of you, or sympathy that you are using it for, you will be able to have a spot for a personal note.
