Humming Along with Climbing Roses and Botanical Butterfly
My card today is a mix of two stamp sets and DSP, Humming Along and Climbing Roses stamp sets and Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (DSP). I sure wish that this DSP would carry over to the new Annual Catalog, but unfortunately, it probably will not happen. I can’t remember, but maybe it has, a DSP being carried over.
My design comes from the Sunday Stamps Challenge. for this week.
My card base is Pumpkin Pie card stock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″ and folded on the scoreline.
- Next comes a 2-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ panel of Night of Navy that has been embossed with the Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder.
- A 2-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ panel of Pumpkin Pie card stock is next. It is also embossed using the Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder.
- The Night of Navy and Pumpkin Pie panels are adhered to the Pumpkin Pie card base using Liquid Glue.
- A Whisper White label is cut using one of the dies from the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies.
- The greeting is stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink using a stamp from the Climbing Roses stamp set.
- A large and small butterfly is cut from a panel of the Botanical Butterfly DSP.
- The large butterfly is popped on the upper corner of the Night of Navy panel using a Stampin’ Dimensional.
- The small butterfly is popped on the greeting label that has been popped into the center of the card front.
- Three sequins from the Sequin Assortment are scattered over the card front.
- A bow (I call it a Mary bow as she is the one who showed me how to make it) is adhered to the center of the greeting label with a Glue Dot.
- The inside sentiment from the Humming Along stamp set is stamped in Blueberry Bushel on a panel of Whisper White that has been cropped using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. It is adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

Card Cuts:
Pumpkin Pie Card Stock – 4-1/4″ x 11″ Card Base – score at 5-1/2″ and fold on scoreline — 2-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ mat for card front
Night of Navy Card Stock –2-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ mat for card front
Whisper White Card Stock – 4″ x 5-1/4″ inside sentiment panel — 2-3/4″ square to cut label for card front greeting
Botanical Butterfly DSP – Cut butterflies from one of the panels
My card starts with a Poppy Parade card stock base. The card front is embossed using the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF). This is a rather easy card. I cut the flowers from a panel of the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper (DSP). 
The strip down the left side is also cut from the reverse side of the flower panel. A tiny border of Call Me Clover card stock is added between the strip of maze DSP and the flowers. A vertical greeting is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink in the center of the maze strip. 
A flower is cut from the DSP and popped on the flower at the bottom of the panel of flowers. Several Basic Adhesive-Back Sequins are scattered over the Poppy Parade card base.
The inside sentiment panel is stamped in Grapefruit Grove and Call Me Clover ink with a flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set. A sequin is added to the center of the flower. The sentiment comes from the stamp set Humming Along and is stamped in Call Me Clover. The panel is trimmed on the right and left sides with a small strip of the maze DSP which is the reverse side of the flowers used on the front.
