His Grace

My card today is created using the His Grace stamp set. It is a lovely stamp set and perfect for Easter.
My design today comes from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for this week.
It starts with a Whisper White card base and then two layers of mats. The Highland Heather mat shows through the cross. The Mossy Meadow and Highland Heather card stock are adhered together using Liquid Glue. Take a panel of Sahara Sand or Crumb Cake card stock and using one of the Cross of Hope Framelits Dies to cut the cross in the center of the panel.
I stamped the flower garland twice around the cross using Crumb Cake ink. I then used the White Watercolor pencil from the Watercolor Pencil set to color all the flowers and leaves and then used a Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Marker to color the flowers and leaves Using the White Watercolor pencil first allows for a softer color.
The Crumb Cake panel is adhered to the Highland Heather panel using Liquid Glue, then the cross is glued into the spot where it had been cut. A length of Linen Thread is wrapped around the three panels and attached on the back with Glue Dots. A bow is made and popped in the center of the three strands of thread with a Glue Dot.
The greeting is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock. It was cut out the shape of the stamp using Paper Snips. By accident, it became popped where it is. I was interrupted and not thinking laid the greeting down to go take care of what interrupted me, when I returned it was stuck tight so I had to leave in this spot.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock and matted on a Highland Heather panel which is then adhered to the Whisper White card base. Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Markers were used coloring the flower flourish from the Hold on to Hope stamp set. I colored each flower and leave individually and since I was using Stampin’ Write Markers to color. I would color a flower or leave and then stamp. Took a bit of time, but it turned out great.
Thank you for stopping by today. My wish is for your encouragement and inspiration in your own creations from visiting here. Hope your day has been blessed!

In creating my card for today I used the Climbing Roses stamp set and Botanical Butterfly DSP. This was a fun card to make, but then they all are fun, what am I saying, but I do love butterflies. My inspiration and design come from the challenge this week at
Two butterflies are colored on this panel using Light Old Olive, Light Highland Heather, and Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. The next layer is another Highland Heather panel that is the mat for the Whisper White panel that has the greeting stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. The greeting is from the Climbing Roses stamp set.
This panel has two fussy cut butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP adhered with Glue Dots. The long vertical panel is Highland Heather for the mat and Whisper White for the art piece.
The butterflies for the art piece has been fussy cut from the Botanical Butterfly DSP also and adhered with Glue Dots to the Whisper White panel. To me, they do not look fussy cut from a panel of the Botanical Butterfly DSP but stamped and colored with watercolor pens or Stampin’ Blend Markers. Using a black fine point pen (non-Stampin’ Up!) just a regular pen you write with, I made dots on this panel. After all the panels were adhered using Liquid Glue the final thing was to pop the finished panel on the Basic Black base.
The inside sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on the label made from one of the dies in the Climbing Rose bundle. It is adhered to a panel from the Botanical Butterfly DSP that has been matted on a panel of Highland Heather card stock. The butterflies on the Botanical Butterfly DSP panel are colored using Light Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Markers. A Whisper White panel is adhered above the sentiment panel for a note whether it birthday, thinking of you, or sympathy that you are using it for, you will be able to have a spot for a personal note.

Happy Tuesday.
The candy jar and the lollipop are fussy cut from another panel of How Sweet It Is DSP. The candy jar is popped in the Coastal Cabana space. The stick for the lollipop is cut in two pieces so that it will look as if the lollipop is sticking all the way behind the candy jar. A tiny bow is made from a short length of Whisper White Twine and tied around the lollipop stick just below the lollipop. Tiny gummy bears are fussy cut and scattered around the candy jar. After all items have been adhered to the focal panel, it is popped onto the card base using Mini Stampin Dimensionals.
Since I did not have a Happy Birthday stamp that was a single line, I used the stamp from the Better Together stamp set and did a bit of masking so it would only stamp one word at a time. It was stamped on a strip of Whisper White card stock in Lovely Lipstick and matted on a strip of Coastal Cabana card stock.
This was then popped onto the card base at the bottom of the card, leaving a blank space between the greeting and the focal panel, so I added a few Coastal Cabana stars and I am just now realized that must be a retired item, so you can use any of the Basic Jewel elements to fill in this space or maybe a length of ribbon. The card front is now finished.

The card base is Highland Heather. A Basic Black mat is cut and a panel of Thick Whisper White is adhered to the Basic Black using Liquid Glue after running it through the Big Shot to emboss using the Subtles TIEF. These two are then adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.
