By The Bay
My card today is created using the By The Bay stamp set. This set is free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase. The birds are from the High Tide stamp set. It is a 2-1/3 layer card. 
The base is Basic Black card stock. The focal panel is stamped on Whisper White thick card stock so the coloring will be absorbed better and not make the paper rough up. It is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on the full panel. The Stamparatus is great for being able to stamp this. After you have stamped the full panel, place the 1-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ panel in the center of the full panel and stamp again. This will be the panel you will color and mat with a Basic Black mat.
My inspiration comes from the Color Throwdown Challenge for this week.
The center panel is colored using Calypso Coral, Highland Heather, Garden Green, and Crumb Cake inks. The roofs of the buildings are colored using a Calypso Coral Stampin Write Marker. The dark image beside the house is colored with Highland Heather and is made dark for the ocean.
The sky is Calypso Coral and Highland Heather sponged onto the card stock. Amazing how different the color can be using different techniques to apply. The birds are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink using the stamp from High Tide stamp set. The bushes are colored using Garden Green ink that is mixed with water using an Aqua Painter. The walkway and a bit of the wall is colored using Crumb Cake in with an Aqua Painter. The two side panels are left uncolored with the exception of the roofs of the two small buildings. 
The greeting is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink at the bottom of the center panel. After the coloring is finished, the panel is matted using a panel of Basic Black card stock. It is then adhered over the full focal panel using Liquid Glue. T
he inside sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a panel of Whisper White. The sentiment is from the Well Said stamp set. The birds are stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

Card Cuts:
Basic Black Card Stock – 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and folded on the scoreline — 1-3/4″ x 5″ mat for center panel on card front
Whisper White Card Stock — 3-3/4″ x 5″ for focal panel and inside sentiment panel — 1-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ center panel on card front
Happy Tuesday. 
The candy jar and the lollipop are fussy cut from another panel of How Sweet It Is DSP. The candy jar is popped in the Coastal Cabana space. The stick for the lollipop is cut in two pieces so that it will look as if the lollipop is sticking all the way behind the candy jar. A tiny bow is made from a short length of Whisper White Twine and tied around the lollipop stick just below the lollipop. Tiny gummy bears are fussy cut and scattered around the candy jar. After all items have been adhered to the focal panel, it is popped onto the card base using Mini Stampin Dimensionals. 
Since I did not have a Happy Birthday stamp that was a single line, I used the stamp from the Better Together stamp set and did a bit of masking so it would only stamp one word at a time. It was stamped on a strip of Whisper White card stock in Lovely Lipstick and matted on a strip of Coastal Cabana card stock. 
This was then popped onto the card base at the bottom of the card, leaving a blank space between the greeting and the focal panel, so I added a few Coastal Cabana stars and I am just now realized that must be a retired item, so you can use any of the Basic Jewel elements to fill in this space or maybe a length of ribbon. The card front is now finished.
