Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Baubles

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Baubles

The stamp set for this card is the Beautiful Baubles stamp bundle.  It truly is a beautiful stamp set.  The baubles are so pretty.  The elements were cut using the Big Shot.  The bauble in the center makes me think of a bird cage. They were cut from Silver Glimmer paper and adhered to a Night of Navy mat that  was embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder then adhered to the Thick Whisper White card base.

Three different sizes and designs of silver Washi Tape was wrapped around the Night of Navy mat and adhered in the back with tape so they would not come loose.

Three Best Route Enamel Shapes were colored with a Real Red Stampin Blend pen, then adhered to the inside of the circle where the Bauble is.

The “Deck the Halls” greeting is stamped in Versa Mark and then heat embossed using Silver Embossing Powder.

The inside sentiment is stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then a mat of Night of Navy was adhered over it using Liquid Glue.  The Night of Navy panel is embossed and cut using one of the Thinlits Dies from the Beautiful Baubles Bundle. Two red stars are also adhered to the Night of Navy Panel.

Thanks for stopping by, I truly hope you found encouragement and inspiration for your own creations. Have a wonderful week and visit often.

Inspiration for this card comes from the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #295.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used in Creating This Card

Star of Light

Star of Light

It’s that time of year, if you have lots of Christmas cards you need to make, so there will not be a rush on come Thanksgiving.  Make a few each week and you have them made.  The challenge at Watercooler Wednesday gave me the incentive to get started on making my cards.  Wonder how many I will have made by the time this challenge comes around again.

I am using the Star of Light Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up.

I started with a base of Rich Razzleberry.  I have chosen landscape instead of portrait for the layout.  I then cut a mat 4 x 5-1/4 from the Gold Glimmer paper and adhered it to the Rich Razzleberry base.   The art panel is cut 3-3/4 x 5 from Whisper White thick cardstock.  I cut the large star and the small stars from Rich Razzleberry  and Gold Glitter cardstock using the Starlight Thinlits.  After adhering to the art panel, I stamped the snowy star swirls using Rich Razzleberry  and Smokey Slate Stampin Ink Pads. I stamped both colors off once before stamping onto the art panel.  I added Rhinestones from my stash of embellishments. The inside sentiment panel also got a swish of the stars and frost.  The sentiment is a generic one that I have had for many years in my stash of Christmas Greetings.

Thank you so much for visiting today.  Hope you like my card and found encouragement from it. Visit again soon!

Visit Again, have a blessed day!

A Merry Little Wish

A Merry Little Wish

This is my second post of the day.  I happened upon the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and since the theme for the week is Christmas, I thought I would give it a try.  I love making Christmas cards and try making a few all along so I do not get bogged down when it really gets time to make them.

I am using the Woodland Embossing folder and Lovely As A Tree to create this.  I really like using both of these and use them quite often, especially Lovely As A Tree.

The card base is Pool Party cut at 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4.  Crumb Cake cardstock was used to cut a mat 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.  This was popped on the card base.

A piece of Whisper White cardstock was cut at 4 x 5-1/4 and then embossed and stamped.  To give the appearance of the green trees being behind the others, I stamped a tree from the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set using the Garden Green stamp pad from Stampin Up onto the Woodland Embossing Folder.  I also colored the spaces between the trees to make it look like sky using a sponge dabber and Pool Party Stampin Up ink pad. I then put it through the Big Shot.  Soon I will be saying put through the Gemini!  As Governor Zell Miller used to say, I bite the bullet and bought one because of my hands.

To give the appearance of bark on the trees, I used a Crumb Cake Stampin Write Marker.

I adhered the art piece to the Crumb Cake mat with liquid glue.  The greeting is from a Stampin Up Retired Christmas stamp set.  I stamped it using the Always Artichoke stamp pad from Stampin Up.  I matted it on a small piece of Always Artichoke cardstock and popped it on the card front.

I didn’t stamp an inside sentiment as it is a while until Christmas and I can decide then the sentiment I want for the card.

Hope you enjoy the card!  Come back soon.
