Stampin’ Up! Half Full

Stampin’ Up! Half Full

Welcome!

The card today is created using the Half Full Stamp Set.  This card is a bit different than the ones I usually make, but it is a fun card for just the right person.  Enjoy!

I’m still one handed so it took me a bit long to get this blog all done.

I’ve decided to play along in two challenges.

Freshly Made Sketches 363                                Fusion Card Challenge

The base is Merry Merlot cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″  The Copper Foil mat is cut 4″ x 5-1/4″.  It is the mat for the Joyous Noel panel that is cut 3-1/4″ x 4-5/8″. The Copper Foil is also used as the strip that goes down the right side.  The two mats are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The art piece with the wine glass is stamped using Smokey Slate ink and then colored using Watercolor Pencils, Granny Apple Green and Basic Grey.  It is popped  using Stampin’  Dimensionals on a panel of the Copper Foil for the mat, then this piece is popped onto the Joyous Noel panel.

The inside sentiment is stamped on a panel of Whisper White cut 3-3/4″ x 5″.

The art piece is colored with Watercolor Pencils – Cherry Cobbler, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Basic Grey.  The sentiment is stamped using Merry Merlot ink.

Thanks for stopping by, my wish is that you found a smile, encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.  Visit again.

Peace On Earth

Peace On Earth

Welcome to my Wednesday  blog post.  It is cold here in Georgia today.  Temps were in the 30’s this morning, too cold for me.  I like cool but not cold, but with cold we know Thanksgiving is on the way.  O’ it’s Wednesday also, middle of the week or “Hump Day” and the week-end is closer than we think.

  1. The card starts with a base of Shaded Spruce 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2”.
  2. A mat from the Dashing Along DSP 4” x 5-1/4” is adhered with Liquid Glue to the Shaded Spruce card base.
  3. The reverse side of the DSP used above for the first mat is cut 3-1/” x 4-1/4” and becomes the mat for the Botanical Bliss art piece.  This is adhered to the first mat.
  4. The Botanical Bliss art piece is cut from a panel of Whisper White card stock 2-1/4” x 4”.
  5. A length of Leaf Ribbon is wrapped around the art piece and the mat for the art piece. The ribbon is adhered with glue dots on each leaf.
  6. The greeting is stamped using Cherry Cobbler Ink.
  7. The three stars are from the Retired Enamel Shapes.
  8. The inside sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on a panel of Whisper White and adhered to a panel from the Dashing Along DSP.
  9. The bird die from the Botanical Bliss bundle was used to cut one bird and a few branches from Cherry Cobbler card stock, which is then adhered  using Liquid Glue to the right corner of  the sentiment panel.

I am playing along with The Creative Crafters Challenge Blog.  Go over and check out all the fabulous cards that have entered this challenge.
