Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas

My card today is created using the Toile Christmas Stamp Set, soon to be retired, and the Etched in Nature Stamp Set, in the new catalog going live for customers, May 4.  The bird was a challenge to stamp, but finally success.

My design inspiration comes from two challenges today.  The first is Just Add Ink.  The challenge is to Just Choose Two – Feathers- Leaves- Petals.

The other is Inspire. Create Challenge # 088. The challenge is to create a project using this fabulous card from Jo Blackman as your inspiration.

My card starts with a Soft Suede card stock base with a mat of Real Red card stock for the art piece.  They are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of In Good Taste DSP is cut and an image from the Toile Christmas stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and then colored using Real Red, Granny Apple Green, and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The bird is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. I colored the bird & branch using Balmy Blue and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I then fussy cut the bird and popped it over the berry-filled branches using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. A ladybug from Ladybug Trinkets is popped on the card front. The greeting from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set, soon to be retired, is stamped in Soft Suede ink on the corner of the card front.

The Basic White card stock sentiment panel is left blank except for the berry branch from the Toile Christmas Stamp Set.  It is colored in the same colors as the ones on the card front.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the In Good Taste DSP added to the flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Little Twinkle

Little Twinkle

!, My card today is created by using a soon to be a retired stamp set, Little Twinkle.  It was an easy card to make and would be great for a beginning stamper.

My sketch is from the Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Night of Navy card stock is used for the card base.  A panel of Whisper White card stock is used for the mat for the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP used for the focal panel.  Three circles are cut using the Layering Circle Dies, one a bit larger than the next to make a border for the first circle that is cut from a panel of the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP.  The Petal Pink circle has the greeting stamped in Night of Navy ink. A length of Whisper White ribbon is wrapped around the Night of Navy star panel before the circles are popped over it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Several silver stars are scattered around the card front and they may not show up too well.

The inside sentiment is from the Ribbons of Courage stamp set (retiring June 3) and I wish it wasn’t.

My envelope flap got some of the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP that was used for the focal panel.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you like the card.  Have a blessed day!

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew May Blog Hop

Welcome to the May blog hop of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  We are so glad you are here because you are going to see some great project that have been created.   I hope you enjoy all the ideas and our blog hop.  Our theme for this month is “Masculine” and we are free to interpret that any way that we like.  You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Krew member’s blog.  You will find the full line-up below to help you hop along from Krew member to Krew member.   On we go…

My card is created from the Let it Ride stamp set.  I am so happy this stamp set is carrying over.

My sketch design is from Fusion Card Challenge.

As you can see from the sketch this is an easy card to create.  The card base is Cajun Craze card stock with a mat from the Wood Texture   6″ x 6″ DSP (retiring June 3)  here’s hoping that it will return in a later catalog because of so many people like using it. A panel of Crumb Cake is embossed using the Pinewood Plank Embossing. Folder and I am so happy it will be returning in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  It is adhered using Liquid Glue. A 1-1/2″ strip from the Wood Texture DSP is cut and the art image is stamped on it.  The image is from the Let It Ride stamp set.  The horses are stamped in Early Espresso ink and the trees in Mossy Meadow ink.  This strip is then matted on a dark panel from the Wood Texture DSP and Old Olive Linen Thread is wrapped around the panel.  This is popped onto the Pinewood Plank panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The greeting from Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a Very Vanilla circle that has been cut using the Layering Stitched Circle Dies. The Very Vanilla Circle has been matted on a small scrap of Wood Texture DSP that the larger circle is cut.

The inside sentiment from the Humming Along stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a Very Vanilla panel of card stock.  The trees in the corner are from the Let It Ride stamp set and are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink that has been stamped off once.  The panel is adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

Good Morning Magnolia

Good Morning Magnolia

This is the magnolias from a sheet of the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Card Pack. This is a sheet of vellum with magnolias on it.  I fussy cut them all to make the oval, I guess you would call it, although the label with the Thinking of You stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink is from the new Stitched Nested Label Dies (available June 4) and they are not oval.

My sketch inspiration and color come from the Double D Black and White Challenge

I enjoy doing black and white cards.  They are so cool and serene looking.

The card is very easy.  Make a Basic Black card base, then cut a panel of Whisper White card stock and using the Stitched Nested Label Die cut the center of the card out.  Adhere the Whisper White panel to the Basic Black base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the greeting on the Stitched Nested Label using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink then place it back into the spot on the card from where it was cut.  Arrange the magnolias around the label.  Add 5 Basic Rhinestone Jewels on the card front and your card front is finished.

The inside sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, Itty Bitty Birthday and Piece of Cake.  I masked part of the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia as I only wanted the first two line.  A magnolia is stamped in the corner of the sentiment panel so it will not look so plain and empty.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you like my card and find encouragement, inspiration or both for your own creations.  Have a blessed day.

Bird Ballad

Bird Ballad

Here is a little sneak peek of one of the new DSP’s from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  This card is made using the beautiful DSP Bird Ballad.

My design is from the Fab Friday Challenge.

The card starts with a Pool Party card base.  Funny how you can do something and not realize until it is finished that the card cut was not the cut you intended in the beginning.

A frame for the art panel was cut using two of the Stitched Rectangle dies.  I placed the art panel in the frame and taped it on the back to hold it together then added to layers of card stock to give it some dimension.  It is then adhered using Liquid Glue.  The greeting is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Calypso Coral ink.  The greeting has been matted on a scrap of Pool Party card stock that I used my paper snips to make one end a banner.

Several Adhesive Backed  Sequins were scattered over the art panel.  I then made a matching envelope, decorating the flap and adding a bird to the front.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock that has birds added to give a more Spring look.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I  am wishing you a blessed day this rainy Good Friday in Georgia.  Hope you like the card and find encouragement or inspiration for your own creations.
