Geared Up Garage
I’m typing this after previewing my card for the first time. I tried the new Gutenberg Editor today. Thought I might as well give it a try. I like some parts of it but the one I haven’t mastered is the code for the stamps used for creating the card. Since I didn’t know how to do that I switched back to Classic Editor, I was surprised when I previewed the site again, because what I had done in Gutenberg was still there. I had thought it would all revert to Classic so guess you can use both Gutenberg and Classic in the same post. Have a great day!
My card today is created using the Geared Up Garage stamp set.

The card starts with a Basic Black card base.
The inspiration today comes from the Double D Challenge Looking Back In Time.
Two panels were cut from Pumpkin Pie card stock as mats. 1-1/2″ x 4-1/2″.

That’s it for the card front, now on to the inside sentiment.

3-3/4″ x 5″ panel from the Classic Garage DSP that has been matted on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Pumpkin Pie card stock.
That’s my card for today, I hope you found encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.

The Petal Pink mat has been embossed using the Subtle TIEF. If you are still undecided about getting the Subtle embossing folder, go for it, it gives so much texture to a card and makes a world of difference in the way your card will look. It is on page 223 of the Annual catalog. I know we are all excited about the Occasions catalog but there are still great products in the Annual catalog also.

The decorative lattice piece on the right side is from the Petals and More Thinlits Dies set. It is adhered using Liquid Glue. Three Pearl Basic Jewels are popped on the art panel and finally, the art panel is popped on the Petal Pink mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting stamped in Fresh Fig ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock is from the Itty Bitty stamp set and was cut out the shape of the stamp.

The two mats for the focal pieces are from Balmy Blue card stock. The focal pieces are from the Botanical Butterfly DSP (free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration). They are adhered to the mats with Liquid Glue.
The inside sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set is stamped in Balmy Blue on a panel of Whisper White and matted on a panel of Balmy Blue. Three die cut butterflies are adhered to the panel also.

What do you think? I used a Lovely Lipstick Foil sheet from the Sal-A-Bration catalog to cut the mat for the focal panel which is cut from a piece in the All My Love DSP. The red heart is cut from the Lovely Lipstick Foil sheet also.
I first cut out one of the hearts in the All My Love DSP pack but found it just did not suit me so I used it as a template to draw the heart on the foil sheet and then fussy cut it out. The greeting is from the Forever Lovely stamp set, stamped on a scrap of Whisper White.
Linen Thread is wrapped around the focal panel three times and tied in a bow. The heart is then popped on the panel. The focal panel is then popped onto the Blushing Bride embossed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
