Tea Together

I love the looks of this card. It is created using the Tea Together stamp set and the greeting is from the Rooted In Nature stamp set. An easy card, I think, for a beginner, but advanced enough that the most seasoned card maker will like.
My sketch design and inspiration comes from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 189 for the week.

Cut your Basic Black card base, along with the Whisper White mat for the front and for the inside sentiment. Then cut the black/white panel that is from the Botanical Butterfly DSP. This DSP is free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, which ends on March 31. I find it easier if you do all your cutting at once instead of just cutting a piece as you need it.
Adhere the Whisper White panel which has been embossed using the Subtle Textured Impression Embossing Folder (TIEF) to the card base after you have popped the black/white panel from the Botanical Butterfly on it.
Stamp 4 roses from the Tea Together stamp set on thick Whisper White card stock using Versa Mark Ink. One of the roses is for the inside sentiment panel. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder over the Versa Mark Ink and using your heat tool, heat emboss. I like heat embossing when coloring because it prevents the colors from running. Cut the roses out using the Tea Time Framelits Dies (the easy way), I fussy cut because I picked up the wrong stamp set with roses and dies and thought oh, there is not a die for this rose, after fussy cutting, I realized my mistake.
Color the roses using Garden Green and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers. The roses are popped across the bottom of the black/white checked panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp the greeting in Real Red ink on a scrap of paper. I traced the shape of the stamp for the greeting and fussy cut it also. The greeting was popped in the center of the black/white checked panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using Tuxedo Memento Black Ink stamp the sentiment from the stamp set Strong and Beautiful on a panel of Whisper White card stock. Pop the rose in the lower right corner using a Mini Stampin Dimensional. Adhere the sentiment panel to the card base using Liquid Glue. The card is finished.
That is it for today! Hope you like the card!! Have a blessed day.

Card Cuts:
Basic Black Card Stock – 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and folded on the scoreline — Card Base
Whisper White Card Stock – 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ mat for card front and inside sentiment panel
Botanical Butterfly DSP – 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ focal panel on card front

Three butterflies cut from a panel of Botanical Butterfly DSP are scattered on the focal panel and adhered with Glue Dots. The focal panel is adhered to the Pool Party mat then the panels are adhered to the card base.
The inside Whisper White sentiment panel is stamped in Call Me Clover ink using a stamp from the Cake Soriee stamp set. A flower is also stamped in Call Me Clover on the panel. The panel is matted on a panel of Pool Party card stock and adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue. It amazes me how the flower look once it has been added to the blog post it looks nothing like that in real time. I took several pictures and each one turned out with that effect.

In creating my card for today I used the Climbing Roses stamp set and Botanical Butterfly DSP. This was a fun card to make, but then they all are fun, what am I saying, but I do love butterflies. My inspiration and design come from the challenge this week at
Two butterflies are colored on this panel using Light Old Olive, Light Highland Heather, and Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. The next layer is another Highland Heather panel that is the mat for the Whisper White panel that has the greeting stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. The greeting is from the Climbing Roses stamp set.
This panel has two fussy cut butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP adhered with Glue Dots. The long vertical panel is Highland Heather for the mat and Whisper White for the art piece.
The butterflies for the art piece has been fussy cut from the Botanical Butterfly DSP also and adhered with Glue Dots to the Whisper White panel. To me, they do not look fussy cut from a panel of the Botanical Butterfly DSP but stamped and colored with watercolor pens or Stampin’ Blend Markers. Using a black fine point pen (non-Stampin’ Up!) just a regular pen you write with, I made dots on this panel. After all the panels were adhered using Liquid Glue the final thing was to pop the finished panel on the Basic Black base.
The inside sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on the label made from one of the dies in the Climbing Rose bundle. It is adhered to a panel from the Botanical Butterfly DSP that has been matted on a panel of Highland Heather card stock. The butterflies on the Botanical Butterfly DSP panel are colored using Light Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Markers. A Whisper White panel is adhered above the sentiment panel for a note whether it birthday, thinking of you, or sympathy that you are using it for, you will be able to have a spot for a personal note.
