Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnias

Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnias

My card today that I am sharing is created using one of the new Online Exclusives available in March for customers.  I also, use Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated stamp set and Embossing Folder, a free Sale-a-Bration item.

  1. Start with a Basic White cardstock card base.
  2. Add a panel of Poppy Parade cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  3. Next, add a Basic White cardstock panel that has been embossed using the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder, adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  It shows up as a half  panel.
  4. Cut a panel of Sunny Day Designer Series Paper and cut it at an angle. See photo about for how it was cut.
  5. Stamp a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia stamp set in Memento Black in on a Basic White panel.
  6. Color the flowers and leaves using Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
  7. Color the white area around the zinnias in the area where it is placed over the Softly Sophisticated Designer Series Paper so there is not blaring white when you look at the card.
  8. There is a die for the flowers but I fussy cut as I wanted it cut closer.
  9. Cut a thin strip of Basic Black cardstock and a thin strip from a panel of Sunny Days Designer Series Paper.
  10. Add the strips across the card from covering the area there the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper and the Basic White cardstock panel meet. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue as the adhesive.
  11. Pop the zinnias over the two thin strips using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  12. Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated stamp set in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
  13. Flag one end of the greeting.
  14. Pop the greeting over the stem of the zinnias using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  15. Pop three Rhinestone Basic Jewels that have been colored using a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
  16.  On a Basic White cardstock panel stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set in Memento Black ink.
  17. Stamp a portion of the same stamp used for the card front in the lower right corner of the panel using Memento Black ink.
  18. Color the zinnias using the same colors as the ones on the card front.
  19. Using Memento Black ink stamped off twice stamp dots using a dot stamp from Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set.
  20. Stamp in Memento Black ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.  Stamp the sentiment by the zinnias.
  21. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Poppy Parade cardstock mat, then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

  23. Adhere a panel of Sunny Days Designer Series Paper the flap of a Basic White envelope flap.

These are the challenges I am entering for this card.

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome! It that time, the 2nd Tuesday of the month  you have been waiting for with excitement, a fun team blog hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.   The theme for this month is “Birthday”. You are in for a treat seeing all the talent these ladies present to you. Sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy.  You will see cards that will  inspire you to get creative as you jump from blog to blog.

The card I am sharing today for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop is created using Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set and Dies, along with Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.  There is a diagram and card cuts at the end of the post showing how to cut and score.  My card is a CAS of Connie Stewart’s card.

  1. Score and fold on the score lines in an accordion style.  Using a pencil make a mark 1-1/4″ down from the top of the card on the left side.  Cut from the pencil mark up to the 3″ score line.  You can see the diagram at the bottom. There is a red line showing where to cut.
  2. Adhere the  Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper to the Boho Blue cardstock mats.  I found it easier to start with the largest triangle to adhere to the card base.  Placing adhesive only on the left edge of the triangle and at the bottom.  You want to leave the top open for the little card or gift card.
  3. On the 2nd largest triangle place adhesive on the longest side of the triangle and adhere, you can see in the photo how it is adhered.  I placed the triangle on the middle section before adding adhesive and made a tiny pencil mark so I would know how far to place the adhesive on the back of the triangle.
  4. Repeat this step for the small triangle that is in front.
  5. On a piece of Basic White cardstock stamp in Boho Blue ink the large daisy from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set.  Stamp the center of the daisy using Copper Clay ink. Using the matching die from the Cheerful Daisies dies, die cut the daisy.
  6. 2023-2025 In Color Dots are popped around the card front and onto the little Basic White card.
  7. In Boho Blue ink, stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set on the top of the little Basic White card.
  8. Choose a daisy image from the stamp set and stamp the daisy in Boho Blue ink, stamp the daisy center in Copper Clay ink, and last stamp the stem and leaves for the daisy in Wild Wheat ink.
  9. On the inside of the little Basic White card, stamp in Boho Blue ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.
  10. In the lower right corner of the card stamp in Boho Blue ink a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.
  11. A Basic White envelope gets a piece of the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet

Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet

This card was created using Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set from the Annual Catalog.  There are still many great stamps in there that we need to use because April is fast approaching and many will be gone.  I used the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder and  Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.

I am entering Try A Sketch On Tuesday Challenge for this card.

My card base is Gorgeous Grape cardstock  with a panel of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper matted on a panel of Crumb Cake. A different pattern of the Designer Series Paper is cut in three strips and matted first on a Basic White cardstock mat, then a Gorgeous Grape cardstock mat.  They are arranged across the card front.

A strip of Real Red cardstock is stamped with a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set, the piece is flagged and adhered across the card front.  Hearts are stamped in Real Red and Gorgeous Grape inks on Basic White cardstock.  They are punched using the Country Bouquet Punch.  A Basic White circle is die cut from Basic White cardstock using a die from Stylish Shape Dies.  The hearts are arranged on the circle.  The circle is popped over the Real Red strip using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three 2023-2024 In Color Dots were colored using a Real Red Stampin’ Blends.  They look more Cherry Cobbler, guess that’s from coloring over the already colored dot.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set in Gorgeous Grape and Real Red inks.  Two hearts are adhered on the bottom of the panel that are  stamped in the same colored.

Three hearts  are stamped on the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises with Lovely Lavender

The card I am sharing today is a CAS of a few different people, including the Paper Pumpkin video done each month showcasing the card creation of different people and how they created alternative cards. Is that what we do, take this idea from one person, another idea from another and so on until we have the card of our choice?

Stampin’ Up! All The Best

Stampin’ Up! All The Best

The card I am sharing today is an alternative of the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin as I used elements from it to create this card along with a die from Garden Meadow Dies.  Or may be I should say I used the negative portion, (but it could be the other way around) of the die cut to create the frame for this card.  The December Paper Pumpkin was called All The Best.  It was a great kit to receive, it makes for beautiful cards that are so Springy and we need Springy feeling to make us feel more cheerful.

I am joining the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge for this card.

I am also joining the Just Add Ink Challenge for this card.

  1. Start with a Balmy Blue cardstock card base.
  2. Cut a card base from the Kit into two pieces, this will give you the background panel.
  3. Stamp a greeting on the background panel using Balmy Blue ink or a darker blue, maybe Misty Moonlight ink.
  4. Adhere the panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of choice
  5. Add the Basic White negative portion of the die cut to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Using dandelions from the Kit, adhere them along the bottom of the Basic White frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  7. Pop three 2022-2024 In Color Pearls around the card front.
  8. On a panel of Basic White card stock stamp in Balmy Blue ink or a darker ink a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set.
  9. Stamp dandelions in Crush Curry and Old Olive ink on the sentiment panel using a stamp from the Paper Pumpkin All The Best stamps.

One of the envelopes from the kit is used as the envelope for this card. The envelope has a dandelion of the front and dandelions blowing against a blue sky for the envelope flap.
