Heartfelt with Well Said

Heartfelt with Well Said

Welcome, I get the honor of being a guest designer for WWYS2.  Thank you for dropping by today.   We are using the Well Said stamp bundle.  I am in shock that I could actually come up with a card from a stamp set that is majority greeting and sentiments.  I am thrilled for the challenge and I think the card turned out ok.  Goes to show what you can create with a little imagination.

Of course, you always start with a card base, which I have chosen Pool Party that has been embossed using the Layered Leaves TIEF for mine.  I then took a sponge with Pool Party ink and lightly sponged a few areas of the embossing.  A  3-1/4″ x 4-1/8″ panel of Pear Pizzazz was cut and sponged with Pool Party also.  A panel of Very Vanilla sponged with the Pool Party ink is cut and adhered at an angle over the Pear Pizzazz panel.  Flower stems in Pear Pizzazz and flowers in Rich Razzleberry have been cut using the Well Said stamp set.  These are adhered to the Very Vanilla panel using Liquid Glue in various spots.  The flowers have a pearl from the Basic Pearl Jewels adhered to their center.  The word “Heartfelt” is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink in the upper left corner.  The word “sympathy has been cut using the sympathy die in the Well Written Framelits Dies.  I cut four so the word would have dimension.  I also used an Adhesive Backed Sheet when cutting so that adhering them together would be easier.

Again, thank you for stopping by today.!

By The Bay

By The Bay

My card today is created using the By The Bay stamp set.  This set is free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase. The birds are from the High Tide stamp set.  It is a 2-1/3 layer card.  The base is Basic Black card stock.  The focal panel is stamped on Whisper White thick card stock so the coloring will be absorbed better and not make the paper rough up.  It is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on the full panel.  The Stamparatus is great for being able to stamp this.  After you have stamped the full panel, place the 1-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ panel in the center of the full panel and stamp again.  This will be the panel you will color and mat with a Basic Black mat.

My inspiration comes from the Color Throwdown Challenge for this week.

The center panel is colored using Calypso Coral, Highland Heather, Garden Green, and Crumb Cake inks.  The roofs of the buildings are colored using a Calypso Coral Stampin Write Marker.  The dark image beside the house is colored with Highland Heather and is made dark for the ocean. The sky is Calypso Coral and Highland Heather sponged onto the card stock.  Amazing how different the color can be using different techniques to apply.  The birds are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink using the stamp from High Tide stamp set. The bushes are colored using Garden Green ink that is mixed with water using an Aqua Painter.  The walkway and a bit of the wall is colored using Crumb Cake in with an Aqua Painter.  The two side panels are left uncolored with the exception of the roofs of the two small buildings. The greeting is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink at the bottom of the center panel.   After the coloring is finished, the panel is matted using a panel of Basic Black card stock.  It is then adhered over the full focal panel using Liquid Glue.    The inside sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a panel of Whisper White.  The sentiment is from the Well  Said stamp set.  The birds are stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you like my card.  I hope you are having a blessed day!

Incredible Like You

Incredible Like You

Today I am using the Incredible Like You stamp set.  It is a fun set to use.   My card has a Pool Party card base and is embossed using the SubtleTextured Impression Embossing Folder (TIEF).  It is a one layer other than the jar with the flowers from the Incredible Like You stamp set.

Today’ s  Inspiration comes from The Sisterhood of Crafters. The challenge this week is called “In The Red”  Use the color red on your project or card.

And since I am using the stamp set Incredible Like You,  What Would You Stamp is having a challenge using that set so I thought why not join that one also.

The flowers are stamped in Lovely Lipstick on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  This was done three times as I wanted three flowers.   Each flower was fussy cut.

A jar was cut from Vellum card stock using the Everyday Jar Framelits.  A length of Linen Thread was wrapped three times around the neck of the jar and tied in a bow.  A doily from the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies was cut from a panel of Whisper White card stock.  It was adhered to the Pool Party card base using Liquid Glue. I stamped the stems twice for each stem to make sure they were long enough for the jar and still be able to adhere the flower heads to them using  Stampin’ Dimensionals cut in two pieces.  The stems were adhered using Glue Dots and the flower heads were adhered using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three pears from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls package are scattered to various spots on the card front.

The sentiment is stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock using Lovely Lipstick ink.  A flower and stem are also stamped using Lovely Lipstick and Pear Pizzazz ink.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you are having a blessed day.

Follow Your Dreams and Let It Ride

Follow Your Dreams and Let It Ride

I am using the Let It Ride,  Follow Your Dreams and Strong and Beautiful stamp sets for my card today.  I have come to really like the Follow Your Dreams stamp set and sure hope that it will carry over to the 2019-2020 Annual catalog.

Inspiration for today’s card comes from Just Us Girls Challenge.    It is Trend Week.

I started with a Bermuda Bay card base.  I also cut the Delicate Lace decorative strip that is down the left side from Bermuda Bay.

A panel is cut from the Wood Texture Designer Series Paper (DSP) to stamp the greeting and horse.  They are both stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.  The horse is then colored using Early Expresso ink and a Blender Pen.  The edges of the panel are distressed using the edge of my scissors.  The inside sentiment  panel is also distressed.

I cut three Dream Catchers from the stamp set Follow Your Dreams.  I used a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet on the back of the Wood Texture DSP so the pieces would be easier to adhere together.  By adhering three together it gives dimension so they do not look so flat when adhered to the card front.

The Lacy Edgelit piece is also adhered to the card front using the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet adhered to the back of the Bermuda Bay card stock.  After it and the Dream Catcher are adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue the panel is popped on the card base using Stampin Dimensionals.  A dot from the Glitter Enamel Dots is adhered to the center of the Dream Catcher.

A panel from the Wood Texture DSP is cut and the sentiment along with the Dream Catcher is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. An enamel dot from the Glitter Enamel Dots is adhered to the center of the Dream Catcher.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you find my card to your liking and that you can get inspiration and encouragement for your own creation

Needle and Thread and Ribbon of Courage

Needle and Thread and Ribbon of Courage

Yesterday was a beautiful sunshiny and hot day–81 degrees here and it is only February.  Does that mean we have a very hot sultry summer that will make us housebound for the coolness of the air conditioner?

My card is created using the Ribbon of Courage stamp set (annual catalog) and the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 2019 Occasions catalog.  The Poppy Parade flowers on the art piece are from the Wonderful Romance stamp set ( 2019 Occasions catalog.

My inspiration and design comes from the As You See It Challenge #193.

And…

Tuesday Morning Sketches

My card base is Night of Navy card stock with a Balmy Blue card stock mat.  The three focal panels are from the Needlepoint Nook DSP.

The art piece with the greeting from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut out using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies.

The art piece is adhered using Liquid Glue to a Balmy Blue mat that has also been cut using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies.

The mat is then popped in the center of the focal panel using Stampin Dimensionals.  A few lengths of  Whisper White Twine is wrapped around this panel and tied in a bow.  A few sequins from the Gingham Gala sequins are scattered around the card front and added to the center of the two Poppy Parade flowers.

That’s it for the card front now on to the inside sentiment.

The sentiment from the 2019 Sale-A Bration catalog Home to Roost stamp set (FREE with $50 purchase)  is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock that is matted on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card.  My wish is that you find encouragement and inspiration for your own creations. from the
