Happy Day! Can you believe it is already Thursday, it seems like we were just there!

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.

Inspiration for the design comes from the Fusion Challenge.  I did both, although my Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grape ink does not look like this purple.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate card stock with a Stampin’ Up! Basic Black mat for the art piece.  I realize as I  am typing this and went to the catalog to get the name of the embossing folder that it is retired not current, but any embossing folder you like could be used to emboss the Smoky Slate panel for the art piece. 

The Stampin’ Up! Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder would be a nice one as a background for the leafy branch and butterflies.

To create the three strips at the right of the card, I started with a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock,  the Gorgeous Grape ink, and a Water Painter. Swiping the ink pad on a piece of aluminum foil, water was added from the Water Painter, then using the Water Painter the ink was brushed and swiped on the card stock. Not liking how the panel looked, I laid it in the puddle of ink and held it up to let the ink run down the panel.  I know I should have taken a picture of the panel before cutting it into the strips.

The leafy branch was stamped in Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green ink on a panel of Whisper  White card stock, then cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Nature Dies.  The butterflies were cropped from the Gorgeous Grape panel and popped around the leafy branch.  Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels colored using the Gorgeous Grape ink were popped on each butterfly. 

The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. Two of the watercolor strips are added to the panel.  Your card is finished.
