Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Merry Christmas
The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set, Poinsettia Dies, Wintery 3-D Embossing Folder, Merry Merlot card stock, Copper Foil Sheet, Basic White card stock, and Garden Green card stock. Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are scattered around the card front. This is a CAS(E) of Debbie O’Neil
Inspiration comes from the Festive Friday Challenge. I am choosing flowers, embossing, pastel colors (poinsettia is a pastel soft color), shimmer(the gold embossing and rhinestones give the shimmer.)
Also, the Paper Players Challenge. I chose the bottom row foil, embossing, and embellishments.
Start with a Merry Merlot card base. Cut the card stock 4-1/4″ x 8-1/4″. Score the card stock base at 5-1/2″ score and fold. This will create your fun fold.
Cut a panel of Basic White card stock 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Emboss this panel using the Wintery 3-D Embossing Folder. Cut a 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ panel from a Copper Foil Sheet. This is the mat for the Basic White square. Adhere the Basic White square to the Copper Foil Square using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Using the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petal Stamp Set, stamp the three largest poinsettias using Versa Mark ink and Copper Embossing Powder. After stamping with the Versa Mark, sprinkle Copper Embossing Powder and heat emboss using your heat tool. Put several drops of Merry Merlot ink on a surface that you can add water from a Water Painter. Make the water and ink a light pink, you can see the color of my poinsettia, or maybe you want your poinsettia darker. Crop the poinsettias using dies from the Poinsettia Dies. Crop leaves from Garden Green card stock, brushing the leaf edges using Garden Green ink gives the leaves some depth. Crop the berries from a Copper Foil Sheet. Dry arrange your poinsettia with the leaves and berries, take a picture (tip from Mary Deatherage) so you know how your arrangement looks when you adhered the adhesives.
Cut a panel of Basic White card stock and a panel of Copper Foil Sheet as the mat for the panel. Stamp Merry Christmas at the bottom of the Basic White panel so it will show when the card front is folded down.
