Stampin’ Up! Layers of Beauty

Stampin’ Up! Layers of Beauty

The card I am sharing today is a CAS of one Mary Deatherage created a week or so ago.  Click her name and it will  you to her video.  She gives great instructions on making the card probably much better than written ones.

I am entering my card in Creative Creases Challenge.

  • Start with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock as the base.  Score at 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″.
  • Cut a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″as a mat, adhere to the Pretty In Pink card base.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 4″ x 10-1/2, score at 5-1/4″ to create the inside card.
  • Adhere the smaller card over the Country Woods panel. The Country Woods piece is a mat for this card.
  • Cut another piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper same size as the first 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Decorate the card front before adhering this piece to the Basic White cardstock.
  • Stamp in Smoky Slate ink the large flower image from Stampin’ Up! Layers Of Beauty Stamp Set
  • Color using Stampin’ Blends Markers, Pretty In Pink, Bubble Bath , Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Smoky Slate.  I tried using the mask first but did not like the way it looked once finished, so I stamped another image and colored using Stampin’  Blends.
  • Once colored pop on the Country Woods piece on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, Place the Dimensionals in the center of the flower image so there will be space for greenery around the outside edges of the image.
  • Using dies from Stampin’ Up! Layers Of Beauty Dies, die cut from Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Garden Green cardstock leaves for the flower image.
  • Tuck the leaves around the flower image, you can see placement in the picture above.
  • Pop Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins, I used the silver, and 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems, I used Pretty In Pink, around the card front.
  • Adhere the finished panel to the Basic White cardstock front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or the adhesive of your choice.  I tried  putting a bow on the card front, but to me it just did not fit.  If you are making the card, it is your choice as to the bow, a bow may look beautiful on your card, but I felt it just did not fit.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 2-1/2″ x 4″ .
  • Emboss using Dashing Design 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Adhere the embossed piece to a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper cut 2-5/8″ x 4-1/8″, then adhere to the bottom portion of the easel.
  • Cut a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper 1″ x 2-1/4″ for a mat for the greeting.
  • Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink on a 7/8″ x 2-1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock
  • Pop on the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp a small flower image from Stampin’ Up! Layers Of Beauty Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink. Stamp three.
  • Color using Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lolly and Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blends.
  • Fussy Cut and pop one on the corner of the greeting using Multipurpose Liquid Glue of adhesive of choice.
  • Pop a 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gem on the opposite corner of the greeting.

Adhere the two remaining small flowers to the lower left corner of the inside panel of the Basic White card.  The card is left blank to write a message instead of stamping one.

  • A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.Thank you for stopping by today.
