Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days In The Moment with Sweet Talk and New Horizons card
The card I am sharing today is created using several stamp sets and dies. You know the saying, ” You can’t tell a book by it cover, well that’s the case here. You will be surprised when you open the card and see the inside. The front and inside are definitely something most people would not put together to create.
My inspiration for this card comes from the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge — Embossing, Purple or Pink, Shaped Card or Fun Fold.
The card base is Blushing Bride with mats of Real Red. Do you agree, you would not put these two DSPs together?
A panel of the New Horizon DSP is cut, matted and adhered to the panel for the card front. The smaller card has a panel of Real Red card stock embossed using the Timeworn Type 3-D Embossing Folder and adhered to the small card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. A tree from the Majestic Mountain Dies is cropped and the top clipped off and adhered to the card front.
The remaining two panels of the card get Sweet Talk DSP matted on Real Red card stock adhered to their panels. The small card gets Real Red card stock adhered to all three panels after being embossed. The first panel has a heart cropped from the New Horizon DSP and a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days Stamp Set stamped on the heart in Memento Black ink. Birds are free-handed as I had loaned my set with the birds but remembered later that Stampin’ Up! In The Moment Stamp Set had birds on one of the stamp, so it was used for the birds on the front panel.
The second heart is embossed and cropped from the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder using Basic White card stock. It has a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! In The Moment Stamp Set stamped in Memento Black ink and popped on a Basic Black arrow that I cut as I have no die for an arrow. The arrow is popped over the heart using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The third heart is cropped using a heart from the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and the words I cut from old cards and adhered with Liquid Glue. Sequins from the Kisses & Hugs Paper Pumpkin are scattered around the card.
When the two cards are adhered together to create the fun fold make sure you have the smaller card fitted on the large card so the card will fit into a regular envelope.
A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the New Horizon DSP applied to the flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

You’re right, Shirley, the interior is not what I would expect when looking at the card front. Very clever design and as Mary said, the dsp combos are unexpected but work well together. Thanks so much for sharing with us this week at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!
Thank you so much Stef for stopping by with your comment.😊
Super fun card! The DSP’s are surprising but they work well together! 🙂 Love the fold, too!
Thanks, Mary so much.😊
