Stampin’ Up! Charming Day

Stampin’ Up! Charming Day

The card I am sharing today was created using Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Stamp Set and Dies, along with the three largest dies from Everyday Arches Dies.  There are many videos on YouTube showing this card.  I made a similar card a few weeks ago.

This is the inside of the card.  Or I suppose you could call it the back side also.

Card Cuts:

  • Basic White cardstock
    • cut (6) of the largest Everyday Arches Dies — 3 for the front and 3 for the back
    • cut (4) of the third largest Everyday Arches Dies  —  for artwork, greeting, and sentiment
    • hinge mechanism cut (2) 2″ x 3″  score at 1″
  • Mossy Meadow cardstock
    • cut (6) of the second largest Everyday Arches Dies —  mat for the art piece and designer series paper
  • Floral Charm Designer Series Paper
    • cut (1) using the third largest Everyday Arches Dies
    • fussy cut flowers from scraps

Using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Stamp Set, stamp the rose image in Smoky Slate ink on one of the Basic White smaller arches.  Stamp the other flowers on another Basic White cardstock arch. Color the roses using Pumpkin Pie and Mossy Meadow ink, and a Water Painter.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Motif Stamp Set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on the smallest Basic White arch.   Using the 2nd largest die, die-cut a piece of Flora Charm Designer Series Paper.  Adhere all three arches to the Mossy Meadow cardstock arch.   Using a Basic Gray Stampin’ Blend, I flicked a few sprinkles around the card. Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped around the entire card.

On one of the smallest arches, stamp in Smoky Slate ink flowers from Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Stamp Set. Color the flowers using Pumpkin Pie and Mossy Meadow ink and a Water Painter.

Die cut from Basic White cardstock the rose and stem with buds using dies from Charming Day Dies. Color the rose and stem using Pumpkin Pie ink and Mossy Meadow ink and a Water Painter.  Fussy cut roses from Floral Charm Designer Series Paper.  Adhere the fussy cut pieces to the smaller piece of Basic White cardstock.  Die cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock (6) arches using the second large die from Everyday Arches Dies.   Adhere all three Mossy Meadow arches to the large Basic White arches.

This is the way the card looks standing.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Floral Charm Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards, and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my creations with you each day. I hope and wish you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a blessed day!

DIAGRAM OF ASSEMBLYING THE ARCHES

I’ve created this using red pieces for the mechanism that stands the card.  You can see in the photo above how the two red pieces are attached to the three arches.  You can use adhesive of your choice.  I used Tear n’ Tape.

This is how the arches look when the card is standing.

One of the perks of being a demonstrator is to pre-order before a new catalog launches, and the Online Exclusives we get to order before they are released to customers.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases. If you love card-making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card-making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.

Being a part of the Stampin’ Up! Community is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.  Are you new to papercrafting and cardmaking and don’t know where to start, but would like to join to save?  As I said earlier in this post, I’m here to assist you in any way I can.  Ask me!
