Stampin’ Up! Basket of Wishes

Stampin’ Up! Basket of Wishes

First things first!  I goofed yesterday in my posting, I said my sentiment was from the Dashing Deer stamp set (I need to quit posting at 3am).  It was from the You’re Inspiring stamp set.  Have to learn to keep my sleepy eyes open and alert at that time of morning so this won’t happen.   I do not know how many of you caught the error, but it happened.  I woke up about 6am with the thought “Oh, No what did I do, realizing my error too, too late.

My inspiration for this card comes from Creative With Stamps Challenge #30 Pumpkins. What a fun challenge. Pumpkins always give the impression of sweet smells and sweet tasting goodies like pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread to go with our tea.

My card for today is from the Basket of Wishes stamp set and Colorful Seasons and a leaf from an old Paper Pumpkin.  I had watched a video on the internet using this technique and I wanted to give it a try.

I started with a panel of Whisper White Thick cardstock cut 3-3/4” x 4-3/4”.  The 2-5/8” and the 3” Layering Circle Framelits were used to emboss the circle on my art piece.  Not having a silicone mat to  use for the embossing, I folded 4 sheets of paper and put over the Framelits so they would emboss and not cut.  Tape the circles together on the back side and again when you lay them on the cardstock.  I used Washi Tape.

After I had my embossing done, I took a piece of the plastic that comes with photopolymer stamps and used it to do my placement around the circle.  You lay the plastic sheet ( you could probably use a window sheet cut to size) over the circle and that way you can see exactly where to place your stamps around the circle.  I also used the Stamparatus which made it much easier. Once your stamps are laid out around the circle close the Stamparatus so it will stick to the stamps.  If the plastic sheet comes up, just peal it off and your stamps are in the spot they should be on the Stamparatus.  Apply ink to the stamps, close the Stamparatus and you have perfect stamping.  Do same procedure all the way around your circle.  Clean your stamps each time.

I stamped the leaves in different colors using Stampin Write Markers and a Mossy Meadow Ink Spot. I then colored the leaves using my Stampin Blends in these colors. Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive,  Grapefruit Grove and the Color Lifter. I used Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie in the Stampin Write Markers as I do not have the Pumpkin Pie Blender Pen and there is not one for Pear Pizzazz.  Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie Stampin Write Markers were used to make the dots that fill in the white spaces.

I cut two mats for the art piece, one in Pumpkin Pie and the other in Pear Pizzazz.  The card base is also Pear Pizzazz.  I stamped the greeting from the Basket of Wishes in Pear Pizzazz ink and put through the Big Shot using one of the dies from the Petal and More Thinlits.

The inside sentiment is from Basket of Wishes and is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink. The pumpkins from the Basket of Wishes stamp set were also stamped on the sentiment panel.

Card cuts and Products used are at the end of this post.
