Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest — Greatest Gift

Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest — Greatest Gift

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest stamp set and coordinating dies (I believe the dies are retired)  I am happy this set carried over in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog as I have not used it before today.  It seems I get stuck on a stamp set and I continue using it over and over.

I first prepared a piece of Basic White card stock to appear to be a canvas for a painting.  I use  Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight,  Gorgeous, Grape, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, and Tahitian Tide inks with a crumbled up piece of aluminum foil to apply the ink.  On some spots, I stamped the ink on a piece of scrap paper before applying to the piece of card stock.  I have seen this technique on Pinterest and You Tube a few times  but never really watched the videos just saw the person squeezing the foil into a ball so thought I would look again and I found one that Terri Gaines did.  You can watch her video by clicking her name.

You will notice that some of my picture of my card has bling on the front others do not.  I wanted to see which way looked best.  I stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink an apple image from Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest stamp set. I colored using Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and Parakeet Party  Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the branch and blossoms in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using Crumb Cake, Bubble Bath, and Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends Markers.  These are popped on the canvas using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The piece  I call my canvas is then adhered to a Tahitian Tide card stock piece and popped on the Highland Heather card stock base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A panel of Basic White  card stock gets two flowers adhered to the lower corner.  I stamped the flowers in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored the flowers with a Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The leaves are die cut from Basic White card stock and colored using a   Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I used an envelope left over from a Paper Pumpkin kit as it matches the card well.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

  1. Beautiful card – and what a cool coloring technique! Foil…it’s not just for BBQing anymore! 🙂

  2. Very pretty, Shirley. I can’t figure out why SU carried the stamp set over but retired the dies. I’ll keep mine anyway!

    1. Karen, thank you for your comment. I think the same. I couldn’t understand by they retired the dies, unless they have few left since they were an add on later in the season.
