Stampin’ Up! Framed Floret with Graceful Tiles and Hues of Happiness

Stampin’ Up! Framed Floret with Graceful Tiles and Hues of Happiness

Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper makes for a gorgeous card.  I used the Designer Series Paper, but I could have used the stamp set for this one.  The stamp set has beautiful stamps that make a beautiful card. I also used a die from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora Dies, the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  I used a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set for the greeting.

I am entering Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenge for this card.

I started with a Basic White card stock card base, embossing a panel of Basic White card stock using a die from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Dies.  I adhered the cropped panel to the Basic White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I embossed a Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper panel using a Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  I then adhered the embossed panel over the panel cropped using a die from Two-Tone Dies.

I fussy cut flowers and leaves from a panel of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper arranged and popped them on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Using Basic White Twine I created a double bow and popped it on the corner of the flowers using a glue dot.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set is stamped in Polished Pink ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, adhered to a scrap of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper, fussy cut again, and finally popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets stamp set is stamped in Polished Pink ink on a Basic White panel. I adhered one of the fussy cut flowers and leaves from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper in the lower corner of the panel.  The panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Stampin’ Up! Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Floral

Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Floral

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Floral stamp set.  I also used a polka dot embossing folder, long tired.

My inspiration for today’s card comes from the color in the mood board and the flowers in this week’s Just Us Girls Challenge challengeJust Us Girls Challenge.

I started with a Basic White card stock card base with a piece of Basic White card stock embossed partially using a polka dot embossing folder.  The embossed panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora stamp set, I stamped three flowers in Polished Pink,  Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape ink and cropped using a die from the Two-Tone Flora Dies.  I stamped in the leaves in Shaded Spruce ink on a piece of Mint Macaron card stock and again using dies from Two-Tone Flora Dies I cropped them.

I embossed a strip of Gorgeous Grape card stock using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder.  I then adhered the strip over the Basic White embossed panel at the halfway point between the plain and the embossed.  Over this Gorgeous Grape strip, I popped the flowers and leaves.  Several Iridescent Sequins are popped around the card front.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set is stamped in Versa Mark on a Gorgeous Grape strip, sprinkled with Basic White Embossing Powder, and heat set using a heat tool.

I stamped a flower & leaves from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Floral stamp set in Polish Pink and Shaded Spruce ink on a Basic White card stock panel.  I adhered this panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a flower from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora stamp set stamped in Polished Pink ink to the envelope flap.

I finally had to bite the bullet as former Governor Zell Miller used to say here in Georgia.  My computer crossed over that cyber bridge and is no more so I had to buy a new one. It will not turn on and the Geek Squad could not repair it.   To me that is traumatic, I had the other one for so long and was used to using it. I’ve spent the past week trying to get it all set up and never realized how many apps you have that you depend on.  Writing this blog, I had to stop and download several apps that I use in writing my blog. I  believe we take too much for granted when using a computer.  I am hoping this one will be sufficient for the task.

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds Love & Big Hugs

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds Love & Big Hugs

The card I am sharing today is a Fun Fold, I call it a double z-Fold, it may have another name but since I do not know so, I will just call it a double Z-Fold. I created this card using Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds stamp set and the new Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper, available to customers March 1.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge.  I am thrilled to be playing along for their second anniversary.  Thank you for creating Creative Creases, I love Fun Folds.

Start by cutting all the card stock and designer series paper, fussy cutting the flowers from a piece of Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper.  Crop the bird cages and bird perches from Basic White card stock using a die from the Pretty Bird Dies.

The card base is Basic White card stock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″. Score a 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″.  The first fold is a mountain fold, the second is a valley fold the same way you would fold a regular card. Cut two strips 1″ x 11″ and score at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. Cut Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper for the background and strips on the two Z-Fold strips.  Stamp in Memento Black ink birds from Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds stamp set.  Color the birds using Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Pale Papaya, Daffodil Delight, and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Markers.   Arrange the pieces of the card according to the photo above.  The bird on the perch in the middle is attached to the perch using a piece of tape and a Glue Dot.  The chain of the perch is adhered to the top Z-fold using a piece of tape.

This how the card looks folded.  The card will fit a regular envelope.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Gift Box

Stampin’ Up! Gift Box

I have made another gift box to share with you today.  This one is embossed using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder and a die from the Basic Border Dies.  You can see my other box here.

I am entering The Paper Funday Challenges for this creation.

Start with a 8-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Sweet Sorbet card stock.  Score along the 8-1/4″ side at 1/2″, 1-1/2″ turn the piece around and score from the other side the same way.  Score along the 11″ side at 2-1/2″ and 3-1/2″ turn the piece around and score from the other side the same way.  You can see in the diagram how far to cut the score lines.  Cut a little piece out of each flap, and angle it so it will look like a wedge.  This is your card base. Using a die from Basic Borders Dies crop the top of the piece as shown in the diagram above.  I used a different die than the one shown in the above photo.  You can see the die I used in the photo below.

I cut two pieces of Sweet Sorbet card stock cropping one using a die from Basic Border Dies.  I then embossed both pieces using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder.  Adhere the piece that has been cropped to the top of the flap as you see in the photo above.  Adhere the other piece to the bottom portion of the box.  These pieces are adhered while the box is still flat.  Adhere three Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls.

I cut a piece of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper cropping using a die from Basic Border Dies and stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Around The Bend stamp set. I adhered this piece to the inside of the flap as shown in the above photo.  Cut a strip of Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper for the belly band.  Stamp a flower from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora stamp set in Blushing Bride ink. Stamp the leaves in Shaded Spruce ink.  Adhere the flower and leaves to a Basic White circle cropped using Layering Circle Dies, then pop the circle on the belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped a greeting using Sweet Sorbet ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cutting and adhering to a scrap of Sweet Sorbet card stock.  The greeting is popped on the circle using Glue Dots.

Cut a piece of Blushing Bride card stock 4-1/4″ x 6″.  On the 4-1/4″ side score down both sides at 3/4″, fold and score.  This is your tray for your pieces of candy.  Run a strip of Stampin’ Seal down both sides of the tray near the score line. This tape is to lay your candy pieces on so they will stay secure in the tray.  The strip shown in the photo is to wrap around each piece of candy.

Once you have all your candy piece wrapped and in the tray, you can slide the tray into the box as shown above.  You can also slide the belly band over the box being careful so the edge of the box doesn’t become frayed.

This is how the box looks once the belly band is in place.

Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet Just Want To Say!

Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet Just Want To Say!

The card I am sharing today is a CAS of one Mary Deatherage created.  I went to Pinterest to get some ideas, they all seem to have left my brain these days.  I was looking through and come upon this one, thinking “Oh this is beautiful it will make a beautiful card.  I started looking at how to create it and realized I did not know how the top part was tilted forward, so I clicked on the picture and where I go but to Mary’s blog.  No wonder I loved the card.  I think I may just start CASing her cards so my brain can rest for a while, it is so overloaded these days

I am entering the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  I choose Heart, Free, Die Cut.

I started with a panel of Sweet Sorbet card stock cut at 4-1/4″ x 11 scored at 5-1/” and 6-3/4″.  Fold the card in half as usual, then fold the other score line in the opposite direction.  Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue in the space between the score line and adhere it to the bottom portion of the card.  This creates your card base.  A 1″ x 4″ piece of Balmy Blue card stock is cut and a 7/8″ x 3-7/8″ piece of Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper is cut and adhered to it and then adhered to the top portion of the card.

I cut three pieces of Balmy Blue card stock, one is cut 1″ x 4″, and the other two pieces are cut 4″ x 4″.  I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock 3-7/8″ x 3-7/8″.  I embossed the two pieces of Basic White card stock using Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder after the sprigs are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink onto the Basic White panel.  I also stamp extra sprigs that I fussy cut to add extra sprigs to the hearts on the card front.

Two hearts are fussy cut from Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper.  On heart is stamped in Blushing Bride ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I fussy cut this heart also as I could not find my punch.  The hearts and sprigs are arranged on the embossed panel and adhered with either Stampin’ Dimensionals or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Bling is added from Iridescent Pastel Gems, Fine Sparkle Adhesive Back Gems, and Iridescent Sequins from a Paper Pumpkin.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a Basic White panel.  A heart & sprigs from the same stamp set are stamped in Blushing Bride and Mossy Meadow ink.  The Basic White panel is then adhered to a Balmy Blue card stock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhered to the card base.

Basic White medium envelope gets a heart stamped to the envelope flap in Blushing Bride ink, the leaves are Mossy Meadow ink.
