Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds Love & Big Hugs

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds Love & Big Hugs

The card I am sharing today is a Fun Fold, I call it a double z-Fold, it may have another name but since I do not know so, I will just call it a double Z-Fold. I created this card using Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds stamp set and the new Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper, available to customers March 1.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge.  I am thrilled to be playing along for their second anniversary.  Thank you for creating Creative Creases, I love Fun Folds.

Start by cutting all the card stock and designer series paper, fussy cutting the flowers from a piece of Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper.  Crop the bird cages and bird perches from Basic White card stock using a die from the Pretty Bird Dies.

The card base is Basic White card stock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″. Score a 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″.  The first fold is a mountain fold, the second is a valley fold the same way you would fold a regular card. Cut two strips 1″ x 11″ and score at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. Cut Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper for the background and strips on the two Z-Fold strips.  Stamp in Memento Black ink birds from Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds stamp set.  Color the birds using Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Pale Papaya, Daffodil Delight, and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Markers.   Arrange the pieces of the card according to the photo above.  The bird on the perch in the middle is attached to the perch using a piece of tape and a Glue Dot.  The chain of the perch is adhered to the top Z-fold using a piece of tape.

This how the card looks folded.  The card will fit a regular envelope.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Bouquet I Love You

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Bouquet I Love You

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Cottage Bouquet stamp set, Country Bouquet Punch, Elegant Eucalyptus 3D, Embossing Folder, Layering Diorama Dies, Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper, Basic White, and Sweet Sorbet card stock. I saw a card made by Mary Deatherage my upline leader so I decided to make one.  You can see hers here.

I find inspiration from this Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge for my card today.

Cutting & Scoring:

  • Sweet Sorbet card base – 4-1/4″ x 11″ score at 5-1/2″
  • Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper — Use 4 different patterns. You can choose which pattern to cut each piece from.  These are the sizes of pieces you will need. 1-1/2″ x 2″, 1-1/2″ x 3-1/8″, 2-3/8″ x 3-1/2″, and 2-3/8″ x 1-7/8″.  This can be called Stack, Cut, and Shuffle if you prefer to cut and make four cards at once.  I only wanted to make one card so I cut the individual pieces.  If you cut for four cards start with a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of the four patterns of Designer Series Paper. Stack them and cut all four pieces at one time.
  • Basic White card stock cut 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ to adhere the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper pieces using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I like to have a base the same size to glue the individual pieces to before I adhere to a mat.
  • Basic White card stock — mat for Designer Series Paper piece– 4″ x 5-1/4″.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set is stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock left from cropping the art panel, this gives the greeting its unique shape.  A length of Petal Pink ribbon is wrapped around the card front twice along with a length of Linen Thread.  The Diorama piece is popped over the ribbon and linen thread using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Diorama is embossed using Elegant Eucalyptus 3D, Embossing Folder.  Two hearts are punched from Cottage Floral Lane Designer Series Paper and popped on the Diorama piece to become the art piece.

Using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set and Sweet Sorbet ink, I stamped little hearts over the inside panel of the card base.  A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Layering Diorama Dies. A piece of Sweet Sorbet card stock is cropped with the next largest die for the mat.  A heart from Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper is punched and adhered to the bottom of the sentiment panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set is stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink on the Basic White panel.

Basic White medium envelopes get a panel of Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper added to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Hippest Hippos Love You A TON

Stampin’ Up! Hippest Hippos Love You A TON

This cute little card I am sharing today is created using  Stampin’ Up! Hippest Hippos stamp set.  It is a card I have made for my great-granddaughter who is ill will COVID.  I tried to dress the hippos the way a 6-year-old would like.  I also used the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

My challenge for today is the As You See It Challenge — Three To Get Ready.

My card base is Coastal Cabana card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Painted Textured 3D Embossing Folder.

I stamped the hippos in Smoky Slate ink on Basic White card stock, cropped with the Hippo Dies, and colored using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Crumb Cake, Real Red, and Shaded Spruce.  I cropped grass from Stampin’ Up! Horizon Dies (retired) from a scrap of a green DSP in my stash.  I cropped the flowers, hearts, and umbrella from a piece of 2022-2024 Brights DSP.  My boat and stage for the ballerina, the tub turned upside down are cropped from a piece of Early Espresso card stock.  The glasses and the mast for the boat are cropped from a scrap of Basic Black card stock.  All the elements are put together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Resin Hearts (retired) are popped around the embossed panel.

A greeting is stamped in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, one end is flagged and it is popped over the mast to make a sail for the boat.

Sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Thought it Together and Wildlife Wonder stamp sets are stamped in Memento Black ink on a Basic White card stock panel and adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets DSP from 2022-2024 Bright DSP is applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove On The Horizion With Much Love

Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove On The Horizion With Much Love

The card I am sharing today is created using the beautiful New Horizon DSP, (I love, love this DSP) along with the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove stamp set, Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon, Stampin’ Up! Through It Together and finally the horses from a Stampin’ Up! long-retired set Let It Ride.  You know there are just certain sets that will always stay with you.

My design for the card I am sharing today is inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge this week.

The card base is Evening Evergreen card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Timbers 3-D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of New Horizon DSP is trimmed to the size needed for the card front, images from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove stamp set are stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on the panel.  The birds are from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp set and are stamped in Night of Navy ink.

The pine trees stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on the right side are from the Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride stamp set is long retired, but as I stated earlier there are some stamp sets you can’t part with or that is the case with me.  The horses are from the same set and are stamped in Soft Suede ink then colored using a Watercolor Pencil and smoothed out using a Blender Pen.  Pebbles Enamel Shapes are made to look like rocks lining the stream and a pile of rocks in the stream.

A strip of the New Horizon DSP is stamped with trees from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink along with the flowers at the bottom of the Basic White panel.  Birds are stamped in Night of Navy ink across the top of the Basic White panel and into the New Horizon DSP strip.  A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink also.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of New Horizon DSP applied to the envelope flap.  The panel on the envelope flap is the top portion of the panel used on the card front.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.
