Stampin’ Up! Adorable Owls

Stampin’ Up! Adorable Owls

The card I am sharing today is created using a FREE Sale-A-Bration item.  These  Stampin’ Up! Adorable Owls are yours for free with a $50 order.  We all like free.  I also used Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge as my card can be considered a fun fold.

My card is a CAS of a fun fold Tami White created.  My card base is Mossy Meadow card stock.  Cut a piece of Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper and adhered to the card base front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

After applying the Designer Series Paper crop the opening in the card as you see above.  You can use any die of your choice for the opening.  Save the piece you crop out.  I used mine as the insert for the owl.

To create the Z-fold insert  cup a piece of Mossy Meadow 6″ x 4-1/2″ scoring at 2″ and 4″.  Before scoring adhere a 4″ x 5-3/4″  panel of Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper, then score.  Using Tear and Tape on the right-side panel adhered the panel to the card base.  A panel of Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper is also applied to the inside of the card, then the Z-fold panel is adhered over it to the card base.

Stamp one of the owl images from Stampin’ Up! Adorable Owls in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  Color the image using Stampin’ Blends Markers or your favorite coloring products. I used Bronze, Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, Petal Pink and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Fussy cut the owl.t

I adhered the owl using Stampin’ Dimensionals to the piece I had cropped from the card front. I then popped the piece on the Z-fold using Stampin’ Dimensionals also.  Be sure to only put dimensionals on the part of the insert that will be adhered to the Z-fold.

Cut a piece of Basic White card stock 3″ x 3-1/2 and score at 1-1/2″ on the 3″ side.  This is for your sentiment.  My sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Through This Together stamp set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink.

Basic White medium envelopes get a panel of  Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper added to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! 2022 in Review and Happy 2023

Stampin’ Up! 2022 in Review and Happy 2023

Happy New Year everyone!  Maybe 2023 will be a better year than the one we are leaving behind.  I suppose it was good tho’, we had a place to live, food, family, and friends to give us comfort when we were low.

I stole this idea from Debbie Mageed, I think her idea is a great one, to review the favorites that you have posted the past year.  I may just have to make this a year-end tradition.  They are in no particular date order, if you click the picture it will take you to the corresponding blog.

This is my #1 pin on Pinterest for 2022.

June 20, 2022  Garden Birdhouses.  A fun fold.

January 25, 2022 Calming Camellia

February 26, 2022 Blessings of Home

March 11, 2022 Sailing Home Bridge card with no bridge.

April 28, 2022 Quiet Meadow

May 6, 2022 Shaded Summer Z Fold

June 26, 2022 Paradise Palms Triple Fold.

July 2, 2022  Cottage Rose  Easel card.

July 29, 2022 Trees For Sale  Slimline Easel card.

August 18, 2022 Fonds of Autumn

September 2, 2022.  This is a fun fold but don’t know the name.  It is a Paper Pumpkin Alternative.

September 29, 2022 Pretty Birds.  This is a Z-fold card.

September 13, 2022  This is an easel card, one of my favorite.

October 5, 2022  This is an easel card.  I like these types of cards, they are easy to display as they create a stand up card.

November 29, 2022  I call this card a bridge tent as it has a bridge that connects the front to the back.  The sentiment goes on the back. This card displays well because it stands with ease.

December 26, 2022 Perched In A Tree Easel Fold.

December 29, 2022  Perched In A Tree.

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly

I am again using Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper to create the card I am sharing today. I love this Designer Series Paper and have used it often and will continue using to create cards as it will be retired come January 2023.  I also used the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder, a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set.

As I am inspired by the Sunday Stamps Challenge card design, I am entering the challenge.

I started with a Basic White card base and embossed a panel of the same using the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  After embossing I adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I fussy cut poinsettias from a panel of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and adhered to the embossed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Sprigs of gold and white are tucked under the poinsettias.  Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped over the buds on the Basic White sprigs.

A sentiment from a retired stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on a panel of Basic White card stock that has been cropped using a die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies.  A fussy-cut poinsettia is adhered in the corner of the panel. The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets Celebrate

Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets Celebrate

This stamp set and Designer Series Paper make the prettiest cards.  The card I am sharing today is made using these two items along with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.

The card base is Basic White card stock with an Evening Evergreen card stock mat.  A piece of Basic White card stock is embossed using the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder and adhered over the Evening Evergreen panel.

1/2″ strips are cut and the above design is created.  Flowers from a sheet of the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper are fussy cut and popped over the strips using Stampin’ Dimensionals Crumb Cake Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack is colored using an Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends Marker.  It is looped around twice and placed under the greeting that has been stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock.

A sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and matted on a piece of Evening Evergreen card stock.  It is then adhered to the card base.

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Cottage Flowers Dies, Charming Sentiments stamp set, Handmade Tags Punch, and Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper.

I am entering the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.  I chose down the right side die cut, layers, and Autumn colors.

I started with a Crumb Cake card stock card base with a layer of Early Espresso card stock that becomes the mat for the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper focal panel.

I cut and colored a panel of Abigail Rose Designer Paper using Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends.  I cut a piece of Early Espresso card stock for a mat for the Crumb Cake card stock piece.  I embossed the Crumb Cake piece using Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folder.

I cropped flowers from Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, and Early Espresso card stock using a die from Cottage Flowers Dies.  Using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set I stamped leaves in Early Espresso on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I cropped them using a die from the Cottage Flowers Dies.  Now that all the pieces have been cut, colored, and embossed it is time to put all the pieces together to create the card.  Multipurpose Liquid Glue is used to adhere the pieces together.  Stampin’ Dimensionals are used to pop the embossed piece over the focal panel.   The Handmade Tag label is popped over the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals after stamping a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set in Crumb Cake ink.  The dimensionals are positioned down the middle of the label so  I am able to pop the Cottage Flowers around the label.  Glossy Dots are popped around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set stamped in Early Espresso ink.  A border of Early Espresso card stock is adhered to the left side of the card while flowers from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper are colored and adhered at the bottom of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
