Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes

Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes

What big plans do you have for July 4th other than watching the fireworks?  I know many of you must work–nurses, police, fire.  Thank you for working and protecting us on this day as we celebrate America’s birthday.  And thank you to all the restaurant workers who are working this day and not getting to celebrate with their families because they along with the nurses, police and fire are out there serving us to make our day better– So thank you!

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.  It was simple and easy.  One layer with a mat and that’s it.

Thanks to my stampin’ friend Karen Finkle, I’ve found a new challenge to try  little Red Wagon

The base is Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock with a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock mat for the focal panel.  The focal panel is from Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper.

Using Versa Mark ink I stamped the images from Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set on the focal panel and then heat embossed using Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and is also heat embossed.

The inside greeting is left without a sentiment so a note can be written.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card front.   I   gave the envelope flap a few stamps from the dandelion stamp so it matches the card front.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.

Product coordination sets Stampin’ Up! apart from other paper crafting companies; in fact, Stampin’ Up listened to what they heard through the grapevine that this is something we really love about shopping with Stampin’ Up!   So they have designed July’s Paper Pumpkin kit to coordinate perfectly with three new annual catalog suites.

  • Come Sail Away Suite p. 144–145

The kit comes with nine cards featuring three designs that include a nautical theme. (Been wanting to make a few awesome masculine cards? This kit is for you!)

July’s Paper Pumpkin offering is nothing less than summertime paper crafting bliss. So don’t miss out on the fun! See the coordinating suites in our new catalog or online and subscribe for the new Paper Pumpkin kit by July 10.

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away  Suite and Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set.  I have been requested to create a card for a couple that will soon be married and the bride wants a card with a sailboat as her soon to be husband has one and loves sailing.

My card base is Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock embossed using my favorite embossing folder,  Stampin’ Up! Subtles Embossing Folder.

I am choosing to enter more than one challenge for the day and sure hope that my card fits them all well. In alphabetic order, they are:

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Polka Dots and/or Stripe.  I didn’t have polka dot paper so  I created my own by making the sails of the sailboat polka dot.

Next is the Dragonfly Dreams Challenge for man or boy.  I think this one should qualify as it is for groom.

Next is the  Pinspirational Challenge   I believe the icon they provide for this challenge says it all  L-O-V-E  since my card is for a groom I believe that is love.

And… Watercooler Wednesday  Dawn’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge.  So my card for a bridegroom works for this one also.

The sailboat is one of the laser cuts from the  Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.  I added the polka dots in the sail and on the boat as I had no polka dot paper.

The greeting on the front is from the  Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack also.

The anchor trinket in the lower right corner is from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Trinkets and is tied with a short length of Stampin’ Up! Braided Linen Trim.  The anchor is popped on the card front using a Glue Dot.

A strip of navy and white stripes from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away DSP is cut and adhered at the bottom of the card front just below the sailboat.  This is in keeping with the  Crafty Gals Challenge to use stripes.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack and is adhered to a panel  of  Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of sailboat on the card front.  I used two stickers from the Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack to decorate the envelope front. I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away DSP.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.

Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases

Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases

I am sharing a card made using the Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight Stamp Set.

My card design for the day is inspired by Case This Sketch.

My colors come from  CAS  Mix  Up  Ombre  + Stamping  + Your  Choice

And…

CAS Watercolour  Something Blue

My card base is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock embossed with the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.  The art panel is a panel of Whisper White that has been watercolored using Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue watercolor pencil.  I added more pencil color to get the darker colors.  I was amazed at how you could get it darker by coloring, then using the Aqua Painter, drying and doing the process all over again until the desired colored is achieved.  After the panel was dried thoroughly, I stamped using Versa Mark ink an image from the Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set then added Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder and heat set.

The art piece has been matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel card stock and popped on the card base using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A bow made  from Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Twine is added at the stem of the flower flourish.  Several Basic Pearl Jewels are added to the card front.

The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight stamp set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.   The same image as the one used on the card front is stamped off twice and then stamped over the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like  my card and that you will have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases

Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases

Have you ever forgotten to post your blog?  I am just a wee bit late with my posting today.  Please smile here!

Today, I am sharing a clean and simple card of encouragement by using the Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set.  I think these colors do look so clean and cool and simple to create.  Should I put #simple?  If you can use a paper cutter you can make this.

My card design and challenge for the day is inspired by  Tuesday Morning Sketches.    The sketch for the challenge is by Melissa Craig.

A Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock base is always good.  It goes with any color except may a dull yellow or gray.

Next a panel of Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay card stock is added as a mat for the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White panel that becomes the mat for the Stampin’ Up! 6″ x 6″ Brights Designer Series Paper panel that is the background panel for the art piece.

Three flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases stamp set are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Rococo Rose ink, Melon Mambo ink and So Saffron ink on the panel of Whisper White card stock.

The vases are punch from various scraps of the Stampin’ Up  6″ x 6″ Brights DSP using the Stampin’ Up! Vase Builder Punch. These are adhered over the flowers using Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are added to the card front.

The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely stamp set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on a  Whisper White panel that is matted using Bermuda Bay card stock.  A flower is stamped in the lower corner.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card front.  I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! 6″ x 6″ Bright Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home

I am giving you a Sneak Peek as I use the new Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set (available to customers on June 4) to create my card for today.  It was a very easy card and took little time to create.  So if you need a quick card give this one a try when you purchase the bundle on June 4.

I am playing along at the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge for today.

And…  The Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge for the week.  This week’s challenge is titled  “Make  Your  Mark”.

And…Watercooler Wednesday

WWC222 – Helen’s “All About Occasions” Challenge

My card starts with a Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock base.  There are three mats, one being used as the background mat.  I used Stampin’ Up! Whisper White and Night of Navy card stock for the first two mats.  From the center of these two mats, the panel for the art piece and the mat for the art piece is cut.  By cutting these two panels from the center of two mats that the center will never be seen, you are conserving card stock, plus the weight of the card as this will eliminate two additional pieces of card stock being added to the card.  The first two mats and the background panel cut from the new Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (DSP) (available June 4 to customers) are adhered using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

The art panel is watercolored using the Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue watercolor pencil and a Stampin’ Up! Aqua Painter.  After the watercolor dries, the sailboat image from the new Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The sailboat is colored using the  Stampin’ Up! Real Red watercolor pencil and the Aqua Painter. The rope across the top of the art piece is from the new Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set (carrying over to the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog) is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Real Red ink.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  The sentiments are from the Stampin’ Up!  Strong and Beautiful and  Stampin’ Up! Well Said stamp sets.

The envelope flap gets a panel of the Come Sail Away DSP adhered to it using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

Thanks for stopping by today.  May your day be blessed!
