AMY’S INKIN’ KREW MARCH 2024 BLOG HOP

AMY’S INKIN’ KREW MARCH 2024 BLOG HOP

Welcome! It that time, the 2nd Tuesday of the month  you have been waiting for with excitement, a fun team blog hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.   The theme for this month is “Celebrate Spring”. You are in for a treat seeing all the talent these ladies present to you. Sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy.  You will see cards that will  inspire you to get creative as you jump from blog to blog.

This card lets the Designer Series Paper do all this work.  The beautiful Zinnias do make for a great picture.  Would love having then grow in my flower garden if I had one.  In creating this card today I used Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper, Zinnia 3 D Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set for the greeting, Stampin’ Up! Lazy Days stamp set for the inside sentiment and Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set for the other part of the sentiment.

The card base is Melon Mambo cardstock with a layer of Granny Apple Green embossed with Zinnia Embossing Folder.  The panel of Zinnias are also embossed using the same embossing folder.  A strip of Gorgeous Grape cardstock is embossed using the Timbers 3 D Embossing Folder.  This strip is placed across the card front as a division between the Zinnia panel and the Granny Apple Green embossed panel.

Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins are popped around the card front.  A greeting is stamped on a scrap of Basic White cardstock in Memento Black ink, then matted on a scrap of Melon Mambo cardstock and popped over the Linen Thread bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Lazy Days stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set are stamped in Memento Black ink on a Basic White panel.  A zinnia is fussy cut from a piece of the Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper and adhered in the corner using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A piece of Basic White cardstock get embossed using the Zinnia 3 D Embossing Folder. This pieces is adhered to a Basic White envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Stampin’ Up! All The Best

Stampin’ Up! All The Best

The card I am sharing today is an alternative of the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin as I used elements from it to create this card along with a die from Garden Meadow Dies.  Or may be I should say I used the negative portion, (but it could be the other way around) of the die cut to create the frame for this card.  The December Paper Pumpkin was called All The Best.  It was a great kit to receive, it makes for beautiful cards that are so Springy and we need Springy feeling to make us feel more cheerful.

I am joining the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge for this card.

I am also joining the Just Add Ink Challenge for this card.

  1. Start with a Balmy Blue cardstock card base.
  2. Cut a card base from the Kit into two pieces, this will give you the background panel.
  3. Stamp a greeting on the background panel using Balmy Blue ink or a darker blue, maybe Misty Moonlight ink.
  4. Adhere the panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of choice
  5. Add the Basic White negative portion of the die cut to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Using dandelions from the Kit, adhere them along the bottom of the Basic White frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  7. Pop three 2022-2024 In Color Pearls around the card front.
  8. On a panel of Basic White card stock stamp in Balmy Blue ink or a darker ink a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set.
  9. Stamp dandelions in Crush Curry and Old Olive ink on the sentiment panel using a stamp from the Paper Pumpkin All The Best stamps.

One of the envelopes from the kit is used as the envelope for this card. The envelope has a dandelion of the front and dandelions blowing against a blue sky for the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises

Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises

The card today is another happy, cheery card.  I love red and purple together.  I used Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set, as you can see.  I also used Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder and Stylish Shapes Dies.  I’ve made this fun fold before, but this time it seemed so much easier.  Maybe it’s because I made it before.

These are the challenges for this card.

Creative Creases Challenge

Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge

All the card cut are at the end of this post.  You may want to do all the cutting and die cutting before starting the putting together process.  Most people probably do that, but many cut as they go, I find it easier to cut, stamp, and die cut all pieces before putting together.  You can see from the photo how the pieces on the card front are layered.

A panel of Basic White is embossed using Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder along with the heart.  The panel is adhered to the card base, then the Real Read, Gorgeous Grape, and Basic White cardstock pieces are adhered to the embossed panel.  The Most Adored Designer Series Paper heart is popped in the middle the Basic White piece.  The heart has three other die cut heart adhered to it to give it dimension, so dimensionals to not have to be used.

After you have scored the 5″ x 8″ piece of Basic White cardstock at 2″, 4″, 6″    center a die of your choice to create the opening for the heart.  I used the largest circle die from Stylish Shapes to create mine.  Adhere the Gorgeous Grape panels to the edge of each side of the card base.  Then adhere the designer series paper over the Gorgeous Grape cardstock panels.  Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprise stamp set in Real Red ink on the two Basic White hearts.  Take a length of twine and adhered between the two hearts.  Adhere the heart in the opening of the circle by attaching the string to the back of the Basic White panel.  You can see in the photo how the heart hangs.

Adhere the Fun Fold panel to the right and left side of the card base.  Line the  first score line and the last score line with the edge of the Gorgeous Grape pieces. You can see in the photo. Adhere your fussy cut bees with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a piece of Most Adored Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Lifetime of Love

Stampin’ Up! Lifetime of Love

I’m hoping all my friends in states that are having extreme cold and snow are in a warm place and their heat stays on.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated stamp set and Embossing Folder (free during Sale-a-Bration with a qualifying order), Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set and Forever Love Designer Series Paper to create the card I am sharing today.

I am entering this challenge for today  My Favorite Things Challenge.

I am also joining Seize the Birthday their optional theme is Embossing Wet or Dry.

This card was easy and simple to create. I started with a Basic White card stock card base, embossing a piece of the same with Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder (part of free item during Sale-a-Bration with qualifying order).  The embossed panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Before the panel is embossed,  a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated stamp set (this stamp set goes with the embossing folder mentioned above) is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink.

Flowers from Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper are fussy cut.  They are arranged around the circle of the wreath die cut from Lifetime of Love Dies.   The wreath and leaf are die cut from Lifetime of Love Dies.   Gems from Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems are popped around the card front.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Flowers fussy cut from the same panel as the flowers on the card front are adhered in corners of the panel.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around

Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around

This was a fun card to create.  It is also a fun fold Z fold.  The Just  Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper made for a fun creating.  I also used the Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set.

My card base is Pool Party card stock. As this is a Z-fold card, I started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of card stock, scoring at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″.  Fold the card as you would a regular card, then fold into a mountain fold. It will be mountain fold for the first fold and the regular fold is a valley fold.  I used Pretty Peacock card stock to create the mats for the Just  Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper.  You can find the card cuts at the end of this post.  In the package of  Just Kiddin’  Designer Series Paper there are 2 pieces of the Designer Series Paper that can be cut into sections to create a scene.  I used two of the sections to create my card.

A castle is die cut from another pattern of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, two others are cut from Smoky Slate card stock.  The three are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then adhered to the third panel where the sentiment is stamped on the Basic White panel in Pretty Peacock ink. A flag is die cut  three times using Kiddin’ Around Dies. They are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then colored using Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.

One of the kids from the Designer Series Paper is fussy cut and popped on the panel in front of the castle.  The boy’s hat,  some of the books, the flags at the top of each panel, the dragon’s tongue, the  blocks on the top shelf of the book case and the apple on the trees are brushed with Wink of Stella.

This is another view of the card.  I stamped the girl from Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set in Memento Black and colored using Balmy Blue, Poppy Parade, Tahitian Tide, Crumb Cake  Stampin’ Blends Markers and one of the Blends for flesh color.  I then die cut the girl and popped her on the stool that has been die cut from a piece of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper (free during Sale-a-Bration with qualifying order).

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock in Pretty Peacock ink.  It is matted on a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock and adhered to the card front. Only half of the panel has Multipurpose Liquid Glue applied.  If it was applied to the entire piece, it would glue the panel to the card and it could not be opened.  Stars are die cut from pieces of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper and popped around the greeting panel.

This is the back of the card for space for writing a note or just signing your card.  Another scene is created on the left panel.  The boy and girl are fussy cut from a panel of Just Kiddin’  Designer Series Paper.

The belly band is a piece of Pool Party card stock with a piece of Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper over it.  A boy and girl are fussy cut from a panel of the Designer Series Paper and popped on the front of the belly band.  Iridescent Rhinestones are popped in the corners.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.
