Stampin’ Up! Autumn Toile –Thinking Of You —

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Toile –Thinking Of You —

I hope everyone is having a beautiful Fall day/evening like we are here in Georgia.  Having a heart attack watching Georgia- Alabama.  Our granddaughter graduated from Alabama, even though she is a Georgia peach, and I’ve always told her, it can be Roll Tide unless they are playing Georgia, then it is GO DAWGS!

Here I am again using Stampin’ Up! Amber Autumn Stamp Set and Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper.  Since there is such a short time to use this stamp set and designer series paper, I want to get the best use of it while I can.

Card Cuts

  • Early Espresso cardstock
  • card base 5-1/2′ x 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″
  • mats for Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper — cut a strip of Early Espresso 1-1/8″, which makes cutting the pieces easier
    • 1-1/8″ x 4-1/8″
    • 1-1/8″ x 3-3/4″
    • 1-1/8″ x 3-1/4″
    • 1-1/8″ x 2-3/4″
    • 1-1/8″ x 2-1/2″
  • Basic White cardstock
    • inside panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • greeting –5/8″ x 2-1/8″
    • sentiment — 1-1/8″ x  2-1/4″
  • Gold Foil
    • inside right side — 2-1/8″ x 5-1/4″
    • mat for greeting — 3/4″ x 2-1/4″
    • mat inside sentiment –1-1/4″ x 2-3/8″
  • Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper —  cut 1″ strips for easier cutting
    • 1″ x 4″
    • 1″ x 3-5/8″
    • 1″ x 3-1/8″
    • 1″ x 2-5/8″
    • 1″ x 2-3/8″
    • inside left panel — 2″ x 5-1/4″
    • envelope flap — 2-1/4″ x 6″

Adhere the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper to the Early Espresso cardstock mats using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or your preferred adhesive.  Starting at the top of the left panel, adhere each strip as shown in the image above.  There is no space between each piece.

Adhere the Gold Foil piece to the Basic White piece, then adhere it to the inside of the card base.

This is how the card looks standing.  Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Branching Out Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Trim to 5/8″ x 2-1/8″ and adhere on the 3/4″ x 2-1/4″ Gold Foil Mat.

This is another view of how the card looks standing.

Adhere the 2″-1/4″ x 5″ piece of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper to the inside left side.  Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Amber Autumn Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Trim to 1-1/8″ x  2-1/4″.  Mat the sentiment on the 1-1/4″ x 2-3/8″ piece of Gold Foil.

Adhere the 2-1/4″ x 6″ piece of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I hope and wish you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Branching Out

Stampin’ Up! Branching Out

Stampin’ Up! Branching Out Stamp Set and Dies plus Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove and Grove Dies are used in creating this card I am sharing today.  I created a similar card using Everyday Arches a few weeks ago.  I used Branching Out Dies for creating this one.  This is an easy card, the hardest part is all the die cutting.

In the photo above, you can see the pieces needed.  The card cuts for each are below.  I decorated both the front and back of the card.  Some people choose only to do the front.  The two small Mossy Meadow pieces on the right side are the hinge mechanism that joins the panel together.  That’s the reason I finished the back side, I did not like the way the back looked with the hinge showing.

Card Cuts:

  • Mossy Meadow cardstock
    • cut (6) of the largest Branching Out Dies — 3 for the front and 3 for the back
  • Basic White cardstock
    • cut (3) of the third largest Branching Out Dies  —  for artwork, greeting, and sentiment
    • hinge mechanism cut (2) 2″ x 3″  score at 1″
  • Smoky Slate cardstock
    • cut (6) of the second largest Branching Out Dies —  mat for the art piece and designer series paper
  • Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper
    • cut (3) using the third largest Branching Out Dies
    • fussy cut the deer from a scrap

Adhere the Autumn Toile Designer Series pieces to the Smoky Slate cardstock mat, then adhere to the Mossy Meadow panel that will become a portion of the card once the panels are joined together with the hinges.  The three Basic White cardstock pieces are for the artwork.

In the photo above this one, stamp the trees from Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow ink.  Also, stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink.  After stamping the trees and the sentiment, using a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink, lightly spread the ink around the panel.  After coloring, adhere the fussy cut trees and rock from Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper over the trees at the bottom of the panel.

Die cut the deer using a die from Grove Dies, die cut from Basic White cardstock the pine cones and branches using dies from Branching Out Dies .  Color the pine cones and branches using Crumb Cake, Old Olive, and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. Using a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink brush the ink on these two panels.

On the panel with the deer stamp in Crumb Cake ink, a branch from Stampin’ Up! Branching Out Stamp Set.  Stamp the pine boughs in Mossy Meadow ink.  Stamp in Mossy Meadow ink a grassy area using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Stamp Set at the bottom. This is where the deer will stand.

Adhere all the art panels to the Smokey Slate mats.  All the panels are finished, so now you are ready to adhere them to the hinge mechanism. The hinge is 2″ x 3″ scored at 1″.  Adhere each side of a panel to the hinge. Placing the panel just a hair away from the scored line.  The hinge is placed at the bottom of the panel where the corner of the half circle begins. You can see in the photo below how the panels continue as the three panels are connected.

This is how the card looks once the hinges are adhered and the card is stood up.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Impressions Abloom

Stampin’ Up! Impressions Abloom

I used a few stamp sets in creating this card, as you can see.  I made a step card with this set before, using different colored flowers. I used Impressions Abloom Dies and these other stamp sets for greetings and sentiments.

Card Cuts For This Card

    • Basic White cardstock
      • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
      • greeting card front — scrap
      • card back — 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″
  • Country Woods Designer Series Paper
    • background mat card front — 4″ x 5-1/4″ Early Espresso cardstock
      • large arch —3-3/4″ x 5″
  • Pretty Peacock cardstock
    • smaller arch — 3-3/4″ x 5″
  • Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper
    • inside panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • scraps of Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock
    • flowers and leaves

Fold and burnish the card base at the score line; this will form the easel.

This is how the easel card looks from the side.

Die cut the flowers and leaves using dies from Impressions Abloom Dies. Die-cut the two arches using Everyday Arches Dies.  Fussy cut a daisy from Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper.  This daisy will be used as the stop for the easel.    Emboss the Pretty Peacock arch using Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.  Arrange the flowers and leaves on the Pretty Peacock arch.  Adhere the Pretty Peacock arch to the Early Espresso arch, then adhere to the easel at the score line.   Make sure you only put adhesive on the area that will adhere to the easel, so you do not glue your card closed.  See the photo.  Make a loopy bow, using a Glue Dot to adhere just below the flowers.

Adhere the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The sentiments are from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set, Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp Set, Stampin’ Up! Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set, and Stampin’ Up! Patterns Of Friendship Stamp Set.

The sentiment on the card back is from Stampin’ Up! Patterns of Friendship Stamp Set.  I fussy cut a few daisies from Floral Impressions Designer  Series Paper adhering them to the bottom of the sentiment panel

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Country Wood Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sunflowers

Stampin’ Up! Sunflowers

I am using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder to create this card.  I have several others I will be finishing over the coming days, hopefully. There are several videos out on YouTube that demonstrate this technique.

I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock using the embossing folder.  I colored the debossed side using Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, and Pecan Pie inks.

The debossed colored panel is matted to a Highland Heather piece of cardstock, then adhered to the Gorgeous Grape cardstock cardbase. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Frames Stamp Set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a Basic White scrap.  The greeting is adhered over a few loops of twine using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A flower from Stampin’ Up! You Are Remarkable Stamp Set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock and colored using Highland Heather and Granny Apple Stampin’ Blends. A stamp from the same stamp set is used to stamp a sentiment beside the flower.  This leaves room at the top of the panel to write a message or sign your name. The panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope lap gets embossed using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards, and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.
