Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peak Tropical Oasis
I’ve been absent from my blog for a bit, but I am back and have a lot of catching up. In 4 days 20’s start! Are you like me and wondering what they will be called this go-round? Do you think they (whoever they are) will say here comes a repeat of the “Roarin’ ’20s?”
From the first time I saw this card pack and DSP, I wanted to make a card using the card from the card pack I am creating today. I am using Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack, Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Moments Stamp Set, Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Stamp Set and Lovely Leaves Dies. I thought it was an awesome piece, but just never the right challenge to make the card. It finally has happened there is a challenge I can use it for. The challenge I am playing today is Freshly Made Sketches. It fits this card perfectly.
This is a simply card with just cutting and a little stamping. The card base is Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock. Next is a background mat from one of the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper. Next comes a panel of Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Grapefruit Grove card stock as is the main focal panel using a card from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack. I trimmed the focal panel to fit the layout. The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Moments Stamp Set and is stamped on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Grapefruit Grove card stock using Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. Behind the greeting is 2 leaves cropped from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Leaves Dies and Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread. The Old Olive and Cajun Craze thread are from the Holiday Catalog.

The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Grapefruit Grove ink on a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock panel that has been placed at an angle over the Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock panel. Both are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

In finishing my card project, the flap of a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope was covered using a panel of DSP from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper.
A few flowers were fussy cut from the same panel that covered the envelope flap and adhered to the envelope front.

The card I am sharing is created using the Stampin’ Up! Well Written Dies and the Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper.

The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grape ink as is the twig of berries from the Stampin’ Up! First Frost Stamp Set.

This was an easy card again to make, just a few snips and cuts and a bit of fussy cutting and it was finished. The card base is Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock with a mat for the art pieces that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.
The art pieces have a Basic Black mat and a Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake art piece that has been sprinkled with Tuxedo Memento Black ink using the sprinkle stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront Stamp Set.
The feathers are fussy cut from a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad DSP. The feathers make me think of Fall leaves that have changed colors, therefore, I am also playing at
I cropped the word “thanks” 4 times using the die from the Stampin’ Up! Well Written Dies, three from Basic Black card stock and one from Stampin’ Up! Cajun Craze card stock.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Stamp Set. I have had this set for a good long time and have only used it once or twice. While making this card, I realize this is a set that can be used for a variety of cards. The card base is Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock. The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock panel is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder. This being a blog hop I am listing my card challenges at the bottom of this section.
Before embossing the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set was stamped in the center of the panel along with the greeting. Here is where I made a goof. I should have done the color wash and then stamped, but I stamped and then did the wash, so the ink on the trees and the greeting smeared and I thought I had destroyed the entire card and would have to start over as all the leaves had been popped on.

The leaves are popped on the Whisper White embossed panel using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set.
The inside sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Country Home Stamp Set is stamped in ‘Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock ink. An image from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set is stamped in the lower corner of the sentiment panel.
My Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope flap got a panel of the watercolor panel that I created. A tree image was stamped in the right lower corner of the envelope front

It’s called the Christmas Time is Here Suite and it’s pretty amazing! just look at that DSP, isn’t it gorgeous and here’s hoping the die fits the rose on the DSP! The dies do fit the roses on one of the panels of the DSP. The dies fit perfectly. This suite was used by several demonstrators October 5 during World Card Making Day and the cards were gorgeous. You should see if you can find them on Pinterest, they are so beautiful.
