Stampin Up Frosted Floral DSP

Stampin Up Frosted Floral DSP

I started this challenge with Freshly Made Sketches earlier in the week when the challenge was first posted but just could not come up with the right stamp to use for the circle in the challenge.   And then— a new shipment arrived from Stampin Up on Friday with the Frosted Floral DSP inside.  Looking through the sheets of DSP, there was one that caught my attention and I knew I had found my circle for the challenge.

You can see the DSP here that I used.  You are getting a Sneak Peak of the paper in the 2018 Holiday catalog.

My inspiration for this card as you read earlier is from Freshly Made Sketches.I used a card base of Rich Razzleberry, embossing the front using the Subtle embossing folder.  I think I have been using this embossing folder a lot lately.

I then cut a 2-3/4-inch circle from Blackberry Bliss using the Layer Circle Framelits. I cut a 3 – inch circle using the silver side of the Frosted Floral DSP.  From the Frosted Floral DSP, a rose was fussy cut along with some leaves.  This was adhered to the center of the Blackberry Bliss circle and the circle was popped onto the Frosted Floral DSP circle using Stampin Dimensionals. This Frosted Floral circle was popped onto the Rich Razzleberry card base using Stamping Dimensionals again.

I then cut a strip of the Frosted Floral Silver side 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 and a strip 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 of the Blackberry Bliss for the mat.  I stamp “Thanks” on a small rectangle using Versa Mark and heat embossed with Stampin Silver Embossing Powder. I popped this onto the silver strip.  I added 3 pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

The inside sentiment panel of Whisper White has a tiny strip of the Frosted Floral DSP down the left side.  The sentiment “not only your thoughtful gift…” is from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set.

All products used in making this card are listed at the very end of this post along with card cuts.

Stampin Up Tin Tile

Stampin Up Tin Tile

Welcome to a sneak peek of one of the Stampin’ Up 2018 Holiday Catalog embossing folders.  You would not think someone would feature an embossing folder.  It is called Tin Tile.

My card design was inspired by  CAS on Friday #140I kind of reversed the design around, hope that won’t be a problem.

Making this card was quite easy as I used embossing folders and the greeting and sentiment were the only stamping.   I embossed the Smokey Slate card base with the Subtle Embossing Folder. Then I cut a strip of Blushing Bride pink and embossed it using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  I also used the Delicate Lacy Edgelits on each side of the Blushing Bride strip. This strip was adhered to the Smokey Slate base using Multipurpose glue.

I used a Layering Circle Framelit to cut the Blushing Bride circle for the mat for the Petal Promenade art piece.  “Sending Love and hugs to you” is stamped in the center of the Petal Promenade art piece.  This was popped on the Blushing Bride mat and  the Smokey Slate base using Stampin Dimensionals.  A little bling was added with three Blushing Bride Faceted Dots.

The greeting “Sending Love and hugs to you” on the front is from the Ribbon of Courage Stamp Set. The sentiment, “I’m overwhelmed by your generosity…” is from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp set. The Blushing Bride mat  for the inside sentiment is embossed using the Tin Tile embossing folder.  I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek of this amazing embossing folder.

When you purchase it starting September 5 you will find you will use it frequently in your card creations. All 2018 Holiday catalog products will be available September 5th. Start making your lists! Just a few days and you can start ordering.   All products used in making this card are listed at the very end of this post along with card cuts.

Gift of Knowing You

Gift of Knowing You

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Card base is Tranquil Tide embossed with the new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder.  Available Sept 5 from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  I think I am really going to like this embossing folder.

No stamp was used for the art piece.  Usually it is stamp and color the art piece. Not today!  The art piece is a 2 x 3 piece cut from the Share What You Love DSP.

I am using the layout from CAS(E) This Sketch.

The cardstock is Mint Macaron cut in the various sizes. CAS(E) This Sketch did not give sizes, so you can cut the sizes you would like so it matches the sketch.  I cut mine this size.  The small one with green leaves is 1 x 2-1/4 and is from the Share What You Love DSP.  The Mint Macaron mat is cut ¼ inch larger making it 1-1/4 x 2-1/2. The larger one is cut 1-3/4 x 3. The mat is cut 2 x 3-1/4.

The middle piece is also from the Share What You Love DSP just a different piece.  It is cut 2 x 3.  The Mint Macaron mat is cut 2-1/4 x 3-1/4.  I fussy cut extra flowers and popped them over the panel with flowers.

The inside sentiment is from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set.
