Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora Meets Hues Of Happiness — Hey There

Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora Meets Hues Of Happiness — Hey There

The card I am sharing today is created using Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper and a die from Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora stamp set.

I am entering Krafty Chicks Challenge for this card.

I started by die cutting from a panel of Basic White card stock, the large flora die from Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora Dies.  This die cut is adhered to a panel of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper, then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I fussy cut flowers  from a panel of Hues of Happiness Designer Series paper adhering them to the Basic White die cut panel.  I stamped a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink, fussy cut and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment panel is left blank for a note or maybe a future sentiment may be added, except for a few flowers at the bottom of the panel. The Mossy Meadow card stock vine is die cut using a die from Stampin’ Up! Dainty Flowers stamp set.

Basic White Medium Envelope gets a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments — Hey There

Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments — Hey There

I am using Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set, Timbers 3-D Embossing Folder, and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to create the card I am sharing today.

I am entering the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge for this card.  Their theme is Spring and I believe the flowers on my card are springy.

  1. Start with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ Basic White card stock card base.  Cut 3-1/4″ off the bottom of the card front.  From the piece cut off, cut five 1/2″ x 4-1/4″ strips.  Cut the strip that is left in half, this gives you two strips that will be used to anchor the other strips together.
  2.   With the sticky side out adhere a piece of Washi Tape to the middle of the card front so you can position the strips on the card front.
  3. Start at the bottom for the first strip, next place a strip at the top, leaving a space between the strip and the card base.  Place a strip in the middle.
  4. Wait until you have all the strips positioned before pressing down on the tape. If you need to adjust the space between the strips it will be easier to do if they are not stuck tight to the Washi Tape.
  5. Place a dot of Liquid Glue on both sides on each strip .  Adhere the two narrow strips, one to each side of the lattice.   I waited until I had both strips in place so I could adjust if necessary.
  6. Turn the card base over so the Washi Tape is showing and gently remove the tape. Pressing down on each strip as you pull the tape will help prevent tearing the card stock.
  7. This is how the card front looks after you have finished with all the strips and trimming the excess from the bottom of the card.
  8. Cut a piece of a window sheet 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and adhered to the inside of the lattice front.  I did this for stability. I did not do this on other cards I made. You can see a fun fold I made using this technique here.

I fussy cut flowers from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper (soon to be retired). I die cut two vines from Mossy Meadow card stock using a die from Dainty Flower Dies. A butterfly is die cut from a scrap of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper using a die from Brilliant Wings Dies (soon to be retired).

I arranged the two vines die cut from the Mossy Meadow card stock on the card front starting at the bottom right corner.  I layered the fussy cut flowers from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper over the vines.  After I had them arranged the way I wanted, I took a picture so I could remember placement when I adhered them to the card from.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the vines and Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the flowers over the vines.

I added the Brilliant Wings butterfly to the right side of the lattice then stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock a greeting using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set. Add three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front, placing one on the butterfly.

I stamped a sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink using a die from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set.  Around the sentiment, I adhered a Mossy Meadow vine and flowers fussy cut from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  I adhered two larger flowers to the bottom of the lattice over the window sheet using Glue Dots.  I also used Glue Dots adhering the flowers over the vine.

Basic White medium envelope gets a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle with Dainty Flowers Dies — Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle with Dainty Flowers Dies — Thinking of You

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set, Dainty Flowers Dies and an embossing folder from Basic 3D Dies.

I am entering Cardz 4 Galz Challenge today.  Their theme for this challenge is Spring Flowers.

I am also entering the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  I choose down the right side.

My design inspiration comes from the sketch design for the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge.

I started with Starry Sky card stock for my card base.  To this I added a panel of Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a piece of Basic White card stock and embossed using a die from Basic 3D Dies. I matted the piece on a piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock.  I popped this onto the card front over two short pieces of Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper added at the top and bottom of the Rich Razzleberry mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I die cut the daisies and vine from Pear Pizzazz card stock and Rich Razzleberry card stock using dies from Stampin’ Up! Dainty Flowers Dies.  These are adhered to the embossed piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A butterfly is die cut from a piece of Basic White card stock using a die from Brilliant Wings Dies and colored with Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry ink using a Blending Brush.  It is popped on the card front using a Stampin’ Dimensional.  Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped  on the flowers and butterfly, three are popped in the upper corner of the card.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set is stamped in Rich Razzlelberry ink on a Basic White scrap, fussy cut and matted on a scrap of Rich Razzleberry card stock which is also fussy then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A panel of Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper is adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card base.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink.  Flowers and vine are identical to the ones on the card front.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Lighthouse Point– Sending Love & Light

Stampin’ Up! Lighthouse Point– Sending Love & Light

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Lighthouse Point stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail stamp set, Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, Stitched Rectangle Dies, and By The Bay Designer Series Paper.

I am entering the Never-Before-Used Schtuff because I have not used Stampin’ Up! Lighthouse Point stamp set and I need to use it before it is retired.

Inspiration for my design comes from Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge, so I am entering my card for the challenge.

My card base is Night of Navy card stock with a panel of By The Bay Designer Series Paper as a background panel.  A piece of By The Bay Designer Series Paper and Basic White card stock is die cut using a die from Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The panel of Basic White card stock that was die cut using a die from Stitched Rectangle Dies is also embossed using Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder after the lighthouse and greeting are stamped on the piece.  The lighthouse is stamped in Balmy Blue and Soft Suede ink.  A greeting  from Stampin’ Up! Lighthouse Point stamp set is stamped vertically in Soft Suede ink on the Basic White piece.  The light shining from the lighthouse is stamped in So Saffron ink.

Two strips of By The Bay Designer Series Paper is cut and adhered across the piece on the card front.  By adhering the way I did it appears there are three strips which the designed called for but the middle strip is part of the background panel design, you can see the full panel on the inside as the same design panel is used on the inside.

A panel of By The Bay Designer Series Paper is used for the inside sentiment panel.  To me this panel looks like sky, ocean, a bit of sandy beach and then more ocean.  It makes a perfect panel for stamping in Soft Suede ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail stamp set.  The birds from Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail stamp set are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of By The Bay  Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
