Painted Seasons with So Hoppy Together
Today you get a sneak peek of one of the new Sale-A-Bration goodies, Painted Seasons DSP available February 15. I am also using the So Hoppy Together stamp set, another FREEBIE with a $50 purchase.
Inspiration and design come from the Paper Craft Crew Challenge. I’ve chosen the bottom row—Something New, No Hearts, and Texture. My something new is the new Designer Series Paper that will be available February 15, no hearts in sight and my frog has texture. He’s a cutie!
The card base is Crumb Cake card stock with mats of Poppy Parade and Lemon Lime Twist card stock. The panels are adhered using Liquid Glue.
A background panel is cut using the new Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Painted Seasons bundle that is available February 15. Three strands of Linen Thread is wrapped around the panel and secured in the back with Glue Dots.
A circle has been cut from Crumb Cake card stock using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies. The frog and butterfly from the So Hoppy Together stamp set are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a square of Whisper White card stock. They are colored using Lemon Lime Twist and Poppy Parade Stamping Write Markers. The frog and butterfly are cut using the dies that are available March 1.
After the frog and butterfly are colored they are popped on the Lemon Lime Twist lily pad which is cut using the Hop on Around Framelits Dies available March 1. The lily pad is then adhered on the Crumb Cake circle and embossed with the Subtle Textured Impression Embossing Folder (TIEF). Gingham Gala sequins are scattered over the Crumb Cake Circle and then the circle is popped on the Painted Seasons background.
The inside sentiment from the stamp set Well Said is stamped in Crumb Cake on a panel of Whisper White that has been matted on a panel of Poppy Parade card stock. A border is added at the bottom from the Painted Seasons DSP.

That’s my card for today, I hope you like it and find encouragement and inspiration for your own creations. Have a blessed day!

Guess everyone watched the Super Bowl! Did your team win?

Welcome, this cold day in Georgia! I know our cold is nothing compared to the folks in the Midwest. You are really having cold, freezing, and potentially life-threatening weather. I hope everyone has a warm spot. I think of the homeless and know some are out in this freezing weather. Everyone have a safe and warm day. Stay inside and make cards.

My card today focuses on the stamp sets, Butterfly Gala and Part of My Story. I have also used All My Love Designer Specialty Paper (DSP).

The inside sentiment is from the stamp set Part of My Story. The hearts are stamped in Lovely Lipstick and are from the Forever Lovely stamp set. The pink heart is cut free-hand using a square of the All My Love DSP.

In creating my card for today I used the Climbing Roses stamp set and Botanical Butterfly DSP. This was a fun card to make, but then they all are fun, what am I saying, but I do love butterflies. My inspiration and design come from the challenge this week at
Two butterflies are colored on this panel using Light Old Olive, Light Highland Heather, and Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. The next layer is another Highland Heather panel that is the mat for the Whisper White panel that has the greeting stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. The greeting is from the Climbing Roses stamp set.
This panel has two fussy cut butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP adhered with Glue Dots. The long vertical panel is Highland Heather for the mat and Whisper White for the art piece.
The butterflies for the art piece has been fussy cut from the Botanical Butterfly DSP also and adhered with Glue Dots to the Whisper White panel. To me, they do not look fussy cut from a panel of the Botanical Butterfly DSP but stamped and colored with watercolor pens or Stampin’ Blend Markers. Using a black fine point pen (non-Stampin’ Up!) just a regular pen you write with, I made dots on this panel. After all the panels were adhered using Liquid Glue the final thing was to pop the finished panel on the Basic Black base.
The inside sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on the label made from one of the dies in the Climbing Rose bundle. It is adhered to a panel from the Botanical Butterfly DSP that has been matted on a panel of Highland Heather card stock. The butterflies on the Botanical Butterfly DSP panel are colored using Light Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Markers. A Whisper White panel is adhered above the sentiment panel for a note whether it birthday, thinking of you, or sympathy that you are using it for, you will be able to have a spot for a personal note.
