Stampin’ Up! New Wonders
There is nothing like getting your card for a certain challenge made at midnight and start to write the blog only to realize you have made the card entirely different from what the challenge is. So what do you do? You put it all away and go to bed, hoping for a better morning. Well, here I am again with a totally different card and praying it works this time.
I am playing along again today at another challenge at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday.
I used the Stampin’ Up! New Wonders stamp set to create this cute little card. I have been wanting to use this set and just kept waiting to do it. It is a cute stamp set and is actually a Hostess Set, meaning you can earn it by having a $150 party or purchasing $150 personally. Being a demonstrator means I had the opportunity to order it during pre-order (one of the perks of being a demonstrator) after OnStage in November 2018. Has it really been that long since OnStage? We have a new one coming in April and if you become a demonstrator, you have the privilege of going if you so choose. That’s enough, now on to the card for the day. Here are the basics of the card:
- The base is Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana card stock.
- Two panels from the Stampin’ Up! Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper, one is the mat and the other is the background panel.
- A 2″ strip is cut fro the Poppy Parade, and adhered with Liquid Multipurpose Glue to the center portion of the background panel. Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Twine is wrapped around this panel three times before it is adhered. A bow is also made and popped on using Glue Dots.

- Using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Framelits Dies a border piece is cut for each side of the Poppy Parade panel.
- Several Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are colored with the Stampin’ Up! Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends and scattered about on the card front.

- One of the images from the Stampin’ Up! New Wonders Hostess Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a 3″ square of Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Paper. After stamping, I cut it out using Stampin’ Up Layering Circle Dies. Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends are used to color the image. The colors used were Light Poppy Parade, Light Bermuda Bay, Light Daffodil Delight, Light Petal Pink, Light Crumb Cake, Light Balmy Blue, and Light Smoky Slate.
That’s it for the card front. There is no inside sentiment only three hearts stamped in Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade Ink using the small heart stamp from Stampin’ Up! Meant to Be stamp set.
In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the background panel on the card front. I stamped the images from the Stampin’ Up! New Wonders stamp set on the front of the envelope and gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Follow Your Art DSP.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

No more “SNEAK PEEKS”, no more ” Available June 4″. June 4 is in the history books and everyone can order until their heart’s content or their credit card gets declined because you have reached your limit–Smile–real big here–. My card today is from the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane Stamp Set. Daisies are my favorite flower so it was a fun card to make.

My card today is created using the Stampin’ Up Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack. This is a simple card to make #simplestamping. Really there is no stamping to it. We learned it all in kindergarten, cut and paste!

My card today is created using the new Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set (available June 4)

What do you think of the Mossy Meadow strip that is vertical down the panel of Magnolia Lane DSP? It looks like a ribbon doesn’t it, but it is the strip that I cut off the Magnolia Lane DSP when I was cutting it for the correct size. It even looks as if it has a Whisper White mat but that is just the strip on each side of the Mossy Meadow strip. This is the reverse side of the Magnolia Lane panel.
The greeting is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow ink on a Stampin’ Up! Petal Pink card stock label that has been punched using the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Label Punch (from the Mosiac Mood Suite available June 4). It is matted on a Mossy Meadow card stock mat that is cut with the same punch.
Two small Magnolias have been fussy cut and popped on the label and in the lower right corner along with a Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewel. Two other pearls are popped in the upper right corner.

I hope you had a nice Memorial Day and that the remainder of the week will be just as wonderful! My card is created using the Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds and Butterfly Gala stamp set. Both are being carried over to the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.

Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock is the base, then a layer of Stampin’ Up Whisper White card stock that has been stamped using the Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds! stamp set. It is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. The other half of the Whisper White panel has a Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Gingham Gala panel that has been trimmed using one of the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Lace Dies to cut the lacy trim from Basic Black card stock.
These also are carrying over to the new catalog that will launch on June 4. The butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala stamp set is stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink on scraps of Whisper White card stock, they are then colored using the Stampin’ Up! Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends and punched out using the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Duet Punch.
The greeting from the Beauty Abounds stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and popped on the card front.
The inside sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds stamp set is stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. Two butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink in the lower right corner of the panel. The panel is adhered using Liquid Glue.
An envelope flap is covered using the Gingham Gala 6′ x 6″ DSP.
