Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade

I used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade stamp set bundle that is being carried over in the upcoming 2019-20 Annual Catalog to create my card for the  Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge ending today.

My sketch is from the Hand Stamped Sentiment Sketch Challenge

I started with a Very Vanilla card stock card base.

A panel of Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock was cut and embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder.  This panel will be adhered to the card base once the card front is ready to adhere.

A panel of Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock is cut and one of the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Everything is Rosy Product Medley is used to crop the trim on the edge of the  Mossy Meadow panel. (available until May 31, this is a set you want to get even though it is available for such a short time.  It is one of those set you want to keep.)

A panel is cut from a sheet of the Stampin’ Up! Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.  This floral panel is adhered using Liquid Glue to the Mossy Meadow panel that has the decorative edge from using one of the dies in the Stampin’ Up! Everything is Rosy Product Medley. These two panels are adhered using Liquid Glue and then adhered to the panel that was embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder.

To create the flower that is popped on the floral panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I first stamped an image from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade stamp set in Versa Mark ink and then to get the color I wanted, I used Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler and Flirty Flamingo inks and stamped off once before stamping it over the Versa Mark ink.  I used Clear Embossing Powder to heat emboss the image.  The flower image was then colored using a Stampin’ Blends Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Petal Pink pens.  I then fussy cut the flower out.  I know there are dies for this flower, but I wanted the cut to be closer than you get when you use the dies.  The Happy Birthday is from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set.  It is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock and matted onto a Mossy Meadow scrap of card stock and then popped onto the card front.

The inside sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Everything is Rosy Product Medley is stamped using Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock.  A smaller flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink.  A Stampin’ Blends Light Flirty Flamingo pen is used to color the flower.

An envelope flap is covered with a panel of the DSP from the Stampin’ Up! Petal Promenade DSP to match the card front.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card and that you find inspiration for your own creations.

Happy Day! Love What You Do

Happy Day! Love What You Do

Since the Share What You Love DSP is retiring, I am trying to get it used up so you may see it every day for a while.  My card is created with it and the coordinating stamp set, Love What You Do which is not retiring (I’m so happy).

My inspiration comes from the sketch challenge at Fab Friday Stampin Challenge.

My card starts with a Rich Razzleberry card stock base.  This is a color I rarely use, but after creating this card, I have a feeling it will find more use.  You will probably see it more since I am trying to use up the Share What You Love DSP before time is gone to use it.  Maybe I will start posting two cards a day. A panel of the Share What You Love DSP is used as a background piece.  The art piece is from the Love What You Do stamp set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock that has been cut using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.   The leaves are stamped in Old Olive ink.  A Light Rich Razzleberry Blends was used in coloring the flowers along with the Color Lifter.   I discovered that my Color  Lifer was dry out and I had not even used it before, so I poured a bit of alcohol in a bottle cap and dipped the pen in it.  It worked great.  HomeThe butterflies were cut using the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies.  I used scraps from the Share What You Love DSP for cutting.    I used a Fine Tip Glue Pen to dab just a drop of glue to the center of each butterfly.  Pearls from the Basic Jewels Pearls were added to the butterfly bodies and various other places on the art piece. Two different strips of card stock were cut to be placed behind the art piece.  The Share What You Love DSP strip is clipped on one end to make it a banner.  The other is a bit of Blackberry Bliss, I mistakenly put used it instead of Rich Razzleberry.  Guess I need to make sure each color is in the proper folder.  The art piece has a Rich Razzleberry mat, you would think I would have noticed that when I put the two short strips behind the art piece.  The art piece is popped on using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is from the Incredible Like You stamp set (retiring June 3) and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I masked off some of the words to say what I wanted.

Share What You Love DSP is used on the flap of the envelope so it will match the card front.

Thanks for stopping by today,  I hope you like and can find a bit of inspiration as I did in creating this card.  I saw a similar card on Pinterest and happy I remembered what I could.  It was a beautiful card, I should have saved it but must have gotten side-tracked and didn’t and when I try it again, I could not find, so if you know the person who has a similar card please let me know so I can give credit to that person.

Little Twinkle

Little Twinkle

!, My card today is created by using a soon to be a retired stamp set, Little Twinkle.  It was an easy card to make and would be great for a beginning stamper.

My sketch is from the Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Night of Navy card stock is used for the card base.  A panel of Whisper White card stock is used for the mat for the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP used for the focal panel.  Three circles are cut using the Layering Circle Dies, one a bit larger than the next to make a border for the first circle that is cut from a panel of the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP.  The Petal Pink circle has the greeting stamped in Night of Navy ink. A length of Whisper White ribbon is wrapped around the Night of Navy star panel before the circles are popped over it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Several silver stars are scattered around the card front and they may not show up too well.

The inside sentiment is from the Ribbons of Courage stamp set (retiring June 3) and I wish it wasn’t.

My envelope flap got some of the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP that was used for the focal panel.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you like the card.  Have a blessed day!

Free As A Bird

Free As A Bird

I just love this Designer Series Paper and stamp set.  It will be available to customers June 4.  It is the magnificent Free As A Bird stamp set and Bird Ballad DSP.  Don’t you just love, love, love it?

The sketch for my card is from the   Case This Sketch Challenge

And…  Watercooler Wednesday’s Kath’s “All About Occasions” Challenge.

The birds on this turned out so good.  Don’t you think they look like they are chatting and the one looks like he is crowding in so he can say something?  The card base is Calypso Coral and the mat for the panel of feathers that became the focal panel is Basic Black.

A one-inch strip of Basic Black card stock is also adhered across the bottom of the feather panel.  This is used as a base for all the birds fussy cut from a panel of Bird Ballad DSP.  The birds were arranged in the order you see and then popped on with Glue Dots.  I found it easier to arrange first and then glue so I would not have to be trying to pull a Glue Dot loose.

Two lengths of Linen Thread are wrapped around the feather panel and tied in a bow.  The greeting from the Free As A Bird stamp set is stamped in Calypso Coral in on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and then punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch (retiring June 3).  The greeting is popped over the Linen Thread using Stampin Dimensionals.  Three Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins are popped in several spots on the card front.

The sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral ink on a panel of Whisper White that has a Basic Black mat.  A bird from the fussy cut batch I cut out is adhered in the right corner using Glue Dots.

An envelope flap is covered with the feather panel from the Bird Ballad DSP so you will have a matching envelope for your card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you liked my card and that you can find encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.  Have a blessed day!
