Stampin’ Up! Expressions in Color

Stampin’ Up! Expressions in Color

Good Morning all — stampers and non-stampers both.  Can you believe June is almost in the history books and a memory and the that means the end of the January-June catalog comes to an end, so if there is an item that you have been holding off buying, thinking I will get it next, your next is about over.

I’m beginning to think I am accident-prone.  Saturday, I was cleaning the bathroom and there was a grocery bag on the counter, wondering why an empty grocery bag was on the counter, I picked it up, crumbling it up as I picked it up, a surprise was in store for me.  My finger slide down used razors my husband had put in the bag,  I didn’t even realize I had cut myself until I started seeing the blood all over the counter and cabinet,  so I got a nice little cut and since I have to take blood thinner (I call it rat poison) guess what happened to me? It bled, and bled, and bled, thought I was going to visit the ER but finally got it stopped.  I have been working on this blog for 2 days because of the inconvenience the cut has caused me.  I will look in empty appearing bag this day forward.

The cards I am sharing today are from this month’s Paper Pumpkin – Expressions in Color.  This is a beautiful kit and enjoyable to create the cards.  It makes nine cards, three of each design.  You can see the three designs above along with the stamps that come with the kit.

My card for my challenge today is on down in the post.

The papers and elements to create the cards are quite awesome. Everything you need to make the card is in the kit. Kit elements below.

I forgot to take a picture of my kit before making the cards and realized it when it was too late, so this one is from Pinterest but I have no idea who it belongs to as I see no watermarks any place. So thanks to the person who posted it.

I’m usually one of those people who change the cards up a lot when I created them, but these were so beautiful I stuck pretty much to how the instructions said.  I did make the greeting on two lines instead of one and stamped a little flower in Fresh Freesia ink and the twigs in Evening Evergreen.

I used one of the cards to make the inside of my sentiment panel.

I used sentiments from Inspired Thoughts and Fabulous Flamingo, retiring soon.  I stamped these in Fresh Freesia ink. I cut the panel of the front of the card and adhered to the inside along with the sentiment.  The sentiment is stamped on the Basic White panel and then the two parts of the card front are adhered on the upper and lower sections.

My inspiration for this card is Word Art Wednesday.

There’s a pretty leafy vellum panel for this card that adds that elegant element to the card.  The different floral leaves and buds are arranged in the middle of the vellum panel, Evening Evergreen twine is wrapped around several times to create the bow you see under the greeting. The greeting is popped on using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals after the greeting and the flowers are stamped on the label with the greeting.  Several sequins are placed around the card front.

The inside panel for the sentiment has sentiments from Inspired Thoughts and Elegantly Said Stamp Set stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.  A spray of flowers from the Paper Pumpkin Kit is stamped in BumbleBee ink.

This is the third of the cards in the kit. The vellum thanks is adhered across the middle of the monochrome panel that has flowers from the stamps that come with the kit stamped in Evening Evergreen in around the front panel of the card.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch

Can you believe it is already Wednesday and the middle of the week.  Seems only yesterday it was the weekend.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Pansy Dies that coordinate with the Pansy Patch Stamp Set.  I also used the Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder.

My inspiration for this card comes from the Sunday Stamp Challenge.  It is a color challenge and I chose the colors Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, and Soft Succulent Stamp Pads and Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I started with a Basic White card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Another panel was cropped using the Stitched With Whimsy Dies.  This panel has the pansies popped on it.

The pansies and leaves are cropped using the Pansy Dies.  I cropped enough for three pansies to be created.  The pansies are colored using a sponge for applying the ink.  The edges of the pansies and the light pink color that appears on the inside of the pansy petals is from Cherry Cobbler ink,  the center is Calypso Coral ink applied lightly.  The center part that resembles a butterfly is colored using Calypso Coral patted on the pieces several times to get it to the dark color.

The leaves are colored with Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The Hello is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and popped on the card front.  Three Pearl Basic Jewels are colored using the Evening Evergreen Maker and popped around the card front.  The White Faux Linen ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack is colored by patting Calypso Coral ink on it using a sponge.  It is adhered under the pansy using a Mini Glue Dot.

A pansy and bud are colored and adhered to a Basic White panel for the sentiment panel.

A panel of Subtle 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is cut and adhered to the Basic White envelope flap.  This panel of DSP is Calpyso Coral and matches the colors used for the flowers.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Forever Fern

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern

Have a great week.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern and Daisy Lane Stamp Sets, along with the Forever Flourishing Dies and the Ornate Layers Dies.

My inspiration for the color comes from the Hand Stamped Sentiment Challenge.  This one is a color challenge.

I started with a card base of Basic White card stock adding a layer of Just Jade that becomes the mat for the Basic White cropped panel.  A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Stamp Set is stamped in Just Jade ink on the cropped panel.

Images from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern and Daisy Lane Stamp Set are stamped in Just Jade, Bumblebee, and Calypso Coral inks and then cropped and the daisy is fussy cut as my daisy punch is still in storage.  After coloring, they are arranged on the cropped panel and I took a picture so I would remember the arrangement.  Linen Thread is wound around the card front before the arrangement has adhered over the thread.  Champagne Holiday Rhinestone Jewels are randomly placed around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets an image from the Forever Fern Stamp Set stamped in Just Jade ink.  The inside is left blank except for the image so a note can be written.

A Basic White envelope gets an image from the Forever Fern Stamp Set stamped on the flap.

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch

Happy Thursday everyone.  I pray your day is off to a great start.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Bundle.  This stamp set can look complicated with all those tiny pieces, but once you use it is easier. This is a new set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog and even though I was blessed to get to pre-order I have not used it but once.  So here I go, looking through Pinterest for designs on using this and I happened across Su Mohr’s card, so I CASEd it as it fit the design challenge perfectly.

As I said earlier this is my inspiration for the design of today’s card, the Sunday Stamps Challenge.

My card base is Soft Succulent card stock with a panel of Basic White card stock layered over it.  The Basic White panel is cropped using the largest die from the Scalloped Contour Dies, it is then embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.  I suppose this Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder is going to take the place of our favorite, Subtle Embossing Folder, too bad it retired.

I cropped all the pansy and leaves from Basic White card stock.  Thanks to Su, it was easier deciding which pieces made the pansy.

Using the Blending Brushes and Polished Pink, Soft Succulent, and Pale Papaya Stamp Pads, I colored the pansies and leaves.  I used Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends Marker to color the open leaves.  Using the Blending Brushes made coloring so easy and easier to get the color you wanted.  Once they were all colored I popped them on the Basic White embossed panel using Mini Glue Dots.  I used Wink of Stella to give a little glitz to the pansy bud.

For the inside panel, I cropped a panel of Basic White card stock to match the panel on the card front.  I fussy cut a pansy from a panel of the Pansy Petals DSP, added a leaf that was extra, and the outline for the pansy I had colored using a Blending Brush and the Polished Pink Stamp pad.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Pansy Petals DSP applied to the envelope flap. I used this particular Pansy Petals DSP panel because it has pink pansies on it.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Hand Penned

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned

Happy June 1, you should start making Christmas cards, one a day and you won’t be behind.  Hope your day has been grand.

The card I m sharing today is created using Hand Penned DSP and the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

Inspiration for my design comes from the Try Stampin On Tuesday Challenge.  It is a great sketch.

Start with a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. Wrap a length of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon around the embossed panel and adhered on the backside, then adhere the panel to the card base.

Cut two panels of Basic White card stock as the mats for the Hand Penned DSP. Adhere together, then adhere bother over the ribbon.  Cut a 1-3/4″ square from Pale Papaya card stock, then cut diagonally, stamp the greeting from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, emboss using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, and pop over the Pale Papaya panel of DSP.

Fussy cut a flower from the flora panel of the DSP and pop in the diagonal piece.  Add a gem from Genial Gems by the greeting.

Flowers from Hand Penned DSP are fussy cut and popped on the bottom of a Basic White card stock panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.
