Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Merry Christmas

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Dies, Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Krafty Chicks Challenge — their theme this week is All Occasions.

This is a Faux Step Fold Card.  It is much easier to make than a regular step card.  I started with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Real Red card stock.  I scored the piece at 1′, 2″, and 6-1/2″. The 1″ score line is a mountain fold, the 2″ score line is a valley, and the 6-1/2″ score line is a mountain fold.  This creates the step that the next piece will be adhered to.  I cut a piece of Soft Suede card stock 2-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 3″.  I embossed this piece using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder

I cut a piece of Early Espresso card stock 2″ x 5-1/4″ and embossed it using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  I cut a 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of a card base from a leftover Paper Pumpkin.   I cut a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Real Red card stock embossing it using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  After embossing I cut a 1″ piece from the embossed piece.  This will go on the 1″ step.   I then adhered all the embossed pieces except the 1″ piece to the card bases.  I find it easier to lay the card base out flat when attaching other card stock or designer series paper.  Then, I adhered the Soft Suede card stock piece to the Real Red card stock base adhering the Soft Suede piece to the first step.  The Real Red card stock Brick & Mortar embossed piece adheres over the Soft Suede on the first step.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, then adhered over the 1″ Brick & Mortar embossed piece.

I cropped two wreaths from Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Dies, one from Mossy Meadow card stock, the other from Old Olive card stock. The two wreaths are adhered together using little dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then popped the wreath over the stripped gold piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I popped  Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the wreath.  Using the bow die from Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Dies, I cropped a bow from a small piece of Distress Gold Specialty Paper.  It is popped on the wreath using a Glue Dot.

I stamped Merry Christmas on the flap of my gold-trimmed Basic White envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Lights

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Lights

The card today is created using Stampin’ Up! Christmas Lights stamp set, Twinkling Lights Dies, and the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

I am joining Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge. Their theme for this final challenge of 2022 is Make Your Mark

I am also entering the NBUS Challenge as this stamp set I have never used.

The card base is Basic White trimmed in gold.  The card bases and envelopes are from a few years ago that I found in my cabinet and thought why not use them for Christmas cards?  It gives a nice border.  I saw a card Sharon Armstrong had made using pieces of Designer Series Paper so I thought what a good way to use up pieces that are left over.

I layered a panel of Soft Succulent card stock over the card base adding another layer using Evening Evergreen card stock that was embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. It is retired I believe.  I used three different patterns of the pieces of Lights Aglow 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I stamped a tree from Stampin’ Up! Christmas Lights stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  I cropped the tree using dies from the Twinkling Lights Dies.   Using a gold piece of Glimmer 12″ x 12 Specialty Paper I cropped a tree for the mat and border on one side of the tree.  I add a Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the tree top and two Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls around the card front. The greeting is from an old Paper Pumpkin kit.  I keep all my Paper Pumpkin stamp sets.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasions stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Snowflakes and three little trees are also stamped in Evening Evergreen ink in the lower corner of the Basic White panel.  The panel is matted onto an Evening Evergreen card stock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  All elements of the card are adhered with either Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals.

No need to decorate an envelope flap, this one comes trimmed in gold.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Santa Express — Santa Clause Is Coming

Stampin’ Up! Santa Express — Santa Clause Is Coming

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Santa Express stamp set and Santa Train Dies along with the Santa Express Designer Series Paper. The Designer Series Paper really does all the work.  I used the Santa Train Dies to crop the Santa on his train and the stamp set for the greeting and sentiment.  This card is for one of my young friends from the school where I worked.  She has a new baby, so this will be prefect for Christmas.

The diagram above shows how to cut and score the Split Z Fold.  I started with a piece of Shaded Sprue card stock and cut and scored according to the diagram above.

Along with the Santa cropped from the Santa Express Designer Series Paper, I fussy cut the tree on the inside panel with the candy canes and adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The greeting above  Santa’s train is stamped in Real Red ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The sentiment on the inside panel is stamped in Real Red ink on a piece of Basic White card stock, cropped using another of the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I matted the square on a piece of Real Red card stock. I then popped on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is how the card looks closed.  I put a cute clip at the top to hold the card closed.

A panel of Santa Express Designer Series Paper is adhered to the back of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A piece of Basic White card stock is adhered over the panel.  I applied this panel so a note could be written as there is no space on the card front.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Santa Express Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

The card I am sharing today is an easel card.  It is very easy to make.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set to create the card along with Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and the Stampin’ Up! Hope and Peace stamp set for the greeting and sentiment.

I am entering the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge. Their theme for this challenge is Any Occasion.

I am also entering the Sketch Saturday Challenge.

To start you will need a piece of card stock cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. I used Basic White card stock.  Score at 5-1/2″ and 2-1/8″.  Fold on the 2-1/8″ score line.  This is a valley fold.  The other piece of Basic White you see in the photo is to create the easel.  It is adhered to the upper portion of the fold.  It is easier if you put the adhesive on the fold and not the panel you are attaching.

This is how the card looks when folded to creat the easel stand.

This is a side view of the easel after the panel is adhered to create the easel.  I have used clips to hold in place as I need to decorate the panel.  I put a temporary stop for the easel until the card is finished.

I stamped poinsettias in Real Red ink using an image from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set. I cropped using dies from the coordinating dies that come with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  I cut a 4-18″ x 5-3/8″ panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and adhered to the Basic White panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a 2-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ panel from a different design and adhered over the red one.  I wrapped a length of gold ribbon around the panel adhered in the back using tape.  The poinsettia and all the fussy cut leaves and twigs are arranged over the ribbon and adhered with either Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope and Peace stamp set is stamped in Real Red ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and popped on the card front.  The card front is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A different design of the Designer Series Paper is adhered to the inside and the stop for the easel is created by stamping a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope and Peace stamp set on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropping using a die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  Stampin’ Dimensionals are popped on the back and it is adhered onto the Mossy Meadow panel creating the stop for the easel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Merry Christmas

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly stamp set along with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Krafty Chicks Challenge as their theme for this challenge is Christmas.

I am also entering the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.

Start with a Cherry Cobbler card stock card base, cut 4-1/4″ x 9-1/2″.  Score at 1″ & 2″ on each end.  See diagram above.

Using paper snips, clip from the edge of the score line to the cut you made at the 1/2″ line.  Fold and score each end of the card base.  One will be a mountain fold the other a valley fold.

Cut 2 pieces 3″ x 3-1/8″. Score at 1″ and 2″   Fold this as mountain and valley.  This is the hinge that adheres to the card base on each end that the Designer Series Paper panels fit on.

Lisa Curcio gives a great tutorial video on YouTube for this card.  You can view it for more instructions.

These are the pieces that create the accordion.  These are pieces that are cut for another card. I forgot to take a picture of the pieces cut for this card, but they are the same sizes.

This is how the card looks once all the panels are adhered.  A panel of Evening Evergreen card stock is the mat for the Basic White card stock panel with the Real Red Merry Christmas stamped on it using Real Red ink.

This is the back of the card with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set.  It is stamped in Real Red ink on the Basic White card stock panel.  A poinsettia is fussy cut from a piece of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and popped on the Basic White card stock square.

A strip of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper is cut to create the belly band.  It is embossed using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.  A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The piece is matted on a square of Evening Evergreen card stock. A Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel is popped on the corner of the Basic White square.

The belly band is then slid over the folder card.

This is how the card looks without the belly band.

A panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series paper is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.
