Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree

 The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree stamp set and Aspen Dies.  This is a CAS of Linda Heller.

The card base is Basic White card stock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and die cut on the front using a die from Aspen Dies. 

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree stamp set is stamped in Misty Moonlight on a piece of Basic White card stock, die cut using a circle die from Stylish Shapes Dies and popped on the upper corner of the card front.  A length of Linen Thread is looped behind the greeting.  Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins are popped around the card front.  Wink of Stella is flicked all over the card front.

A panel of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper (the one with the cute little deer)  is cut 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ scored 1/4″ at the top. Fold and burnished well on the score line, add Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the 1/4″ score part and adhere the piece at the top of the inside. Adhere so the next piece will cover the small piece adhered with glue. Flick Wink all over the piece and brush it on the snow and the snow on the trees.

Cut another piece of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper the same size as above.  This time I chose the piece that has the little fox.  Stamp in Misty Moonlight ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! One Horse Open Sleigh stamp set.  Flick Wink of Stella all over the piece.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using  Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I am entering Try it on Tuesday Challenge.  Their theme for this challenge is Sparkle All The Way and I believe as I put Wink of Stella on my card to make it sparkly it qualifies.

The card I am sharing today is created using a wreath die from Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints Dies.  The wreath is die cut from Gold Foil.

I am entering Addicted to Stamps and More Make Your Mark Challenge.

The card base is Shaded Spruce card stock with a panel of Basic White card stock for the Festive Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper.   I used the piece that is Cherry Cobbler.  It becomes the background for the wreath.  The wreath is popped on the piece using tiny pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals.  It was tiresome cutting all the tiny piece to stick to the wreath.  Neutral Adhesive Back Sequins are popped around the card front.

A greeting is stamped on a strip of the Festive Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper using Versa Mark ink and Gold Embossing Powder. It is popped across the wreath using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope and Peace Stamp Set is stamped in Versa Mark ink and sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed with a heat tool.

 Basic White envelope gets a piece of  Real Red card stock that has been embossed with Merry Melofy 3D Embossing Folder and applied to the envelope flap using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Can you believe tomorrow is November 1 and Thanksgiving will be here before we blink, then Christmas.  I hope you are busy, busy working on your Christmas cards.

The card I am sharing today is an Online Exclusive with Stampin’ Up!.   Mary Deatherage and Tara Beth Carpenter are the ones who enticed to in getting this stamp set and Designer Series Paper.  The cards they created was like dangling a carrot in front of a rabbit.  I had no plans to get this stamp set, but after seeing their cards, I could not resist.  The Stampin’ Up! Saint Nicholas stamp set and the Traditions of St. Nicholas Designer Series Paper makes fun cards as you can see from mine.  You can check one of Mary’s by clicking on her name.  I could not find the St. Nicholas card on Tara’s blog so I am unable to give you the link to see it.

The card base is Smoky Slate card stock with a panel of Real Red card stock embossed in one of the embossing folders from Basic 3D Embossing Folders.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A panel of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper is embossed using the same embossing folder and adhered over the Real Red panel.

Saint Nicholas, the chimney, and snow are die cut  using dies from Saint Nicholas Dies.  The trees are fussy cut from a piece of the Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Saint Nicholas stamp set is stamped in Real Red ink on a strip of Traditions of S.t Nick Designer Series Paper . A bow is made from Linen Thread and popped under the greeting with a Glue Dot.

A panel of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper get a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Saint Nicholas stamp set stamped in Real Red ink.  A Santa get stamped in the lower right corner in Smoky Slate ink and colored using Watercolor Pencils.  The colors in the photo above is not the colors I colored the Santa other than the red.  I tried adjusting the color and it only made it worse. Some of it looks as if no color has been added.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of  Real Red card stock that has been embossed with a Basic 3D Embossing Folder and applied to the envelope flap using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Welcome to our Blog Hop!

Welcome to the monthly Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!

We have a great lineup of talented crafters for you today, who enjoy creating fun folds.  If you love fun folds, I am hoping you find inspiration and enjoyment so much that you will be inspired to join us next time.  You are in for a treat with all the talented demonstrators participating. You can find that list  located at the end of the post about my card creation.  

This fun card is my great granddaughter’s Christmas card.  This is made using Penguin Place stamp set, a retired Stampin’ Up! product.  I thought it would be perfect for her Christmas card.  Add a piece of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper to the front of the  back  panel of the card.  Another piece will also be added to the reverse side to create the front of the card when it is closed.

I stamped in Memento Black ink the penguins from Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place stamp set.  Their bill is stamped in Mango Melody and their feet in Crumb Cake ink.  The scarves and caps are stamped in Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Blueberry Bushel inks.

 

Cut two pieces of card stock or Designer Series Paper, I used Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper, 2″ x 4″ to create the snow banks the Penguins are on.  Use Tear and Tape or another adhesive of choice to adhere the box, I used Tear and Tape on the edge of the box to adhere together . Use Tear and Tape or another adhesive to adhered the boxes to the card base after the snow banks are adhered to the boxes. See the photo above for the hills.  You can shape the snow banks any shape you choose.

I am sharing another Christmas card today that the Designer Series Paper does a big part of the creation.  I am using O Holy Night Designer Series Paper.  I also used Stampin’ Up! Night Divine stamp set for the greeting and sentiment.

I am entering Krafty Chicks Challenge as their theme for this challenge is Christmas.

My card base is Night of Navy card stock with a piece of Basic White card stock as the mat for the focal background panel from O Holy Night Designer Series Paper.  I die cut stars from Distress Gold Specialty Paper using dies from Stampin’ Up! Star At Night Dies.  The stars are layered to create the beautiful star you see on the card front.  Adhesive Backed Star Trinkets are popped in the center of the stars.  Night of Navy 1/2″ Glittered Ribbon is wrapped around the card and a bow is popped on.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Night Divine stamp set is stamped in Versa Mark, sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed.  It is popped over the ribbon.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Night Divine stamp set is stamped in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Two strips of  O Holy Night Designer Series Paper is adhered down the left side and across the bottom of the panel.  The panel is adhered to the Night of Navy card stock base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets embossed on the envelope flap using the Stars At Night Hybrid Embossing Folder. The embossing is hard to see.
