Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Baubles

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Baubles

WELCOME!

I sort of challenged myself today with this card.  I wanted the Beautiful Baubles to fit inside my 2-1/8” circle and if you have seen the stamp set, you know that just by stamping the stamp that will not be possible—so—I stamped and reduced the size about 3 times before I got the size I wanted for the circle, but it made the baubles almost too small to color— that in itself was a challenge — getting the tiny  ones colored.  I managed.  Not as neat as I would like but done.

My design today comes from the TGIF Challenge #177 Sketch.

The card base is Whisper White. Next is a Garden Green mat that has been popped on but that was the last step, popping the Garden green mat on.  Everything was built on the mat and then it was popped on.  There is a red mat from the All is Bright DSP Collection.  The decorative white pieces on the end of the All is Bright DSP is from the Petals and More Thinlits.

A 1-1/4 inch strip was cut from the Festive Farmhouse DSP.  It was bannerized (that word comes from Mary Deatherage) on both ends and adhered to the All is Bright DSP mat and extending beyond the Petals and More Thinlits.

The mat for the art piece is a 2-5/8” scalloped circle.  The art piece was colored using Watercolor Pencils, sharpened very sharp, so as to color the tiny baubles.  A layer of Wink of Stella was put over each bauble, but it may not show up too great in the pictures.

The inside sentiment is from the Star of Light stamp set. The sentiment is stamped using Memento Black Ink on a panel of Whisper White that has been matted with a Garden Green mat.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope  you found encouragement, inspiration for your creations and an overall great feeling in your spirit.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin Up! Dashing Deer

Stampin Up! Dashing Deer

I received this new stamp set and you know that with something you just have to play with it.  This was a gift from my upline, upline.  She is a kind, generous person.

I will be entering these in two challenges.  The Cupcake Inspiration Challenge 453 and the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge

The card base is Shaded Spruce card stock with embossing using the Pine Planks Embossing folder.   I cut a 3-7/8” x 4-1/2” panel from Cherry Cobbler card stock and embossed using the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

A 3-1/4” x 3-1/4” square from the All is Bright DSP was used to cut the deer using the Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies which is part of the bundle called Dashing Deer. You can save 10% buying this as a bundle instead of individually.  The negative portion of the cut was adhered to the Cherry Cobbler panel embossed with the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The three red flowers were cut from Cherry Cobbler using the three thinlits dies from the Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies. They were popped on the All is Bright DSP using Mini Stampin Dimensionals cut in fourths.

The gold strip separating the All is Bright DSP and the embossed Cherry Cobbler panel is a scrap from the Timeless Tiding Project Kit as is the edging on the embossed Cherry Cobbler panel.   The “Merry” is cut using the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies.  The pearls are from the Share What You Love Artisan  Pearls.

The inside sentiment from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set  is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on a panel of Whisper White and matted with Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought:

Have A Blessed Day!

Stampin Up’s Beautiful Baubles

Stampin Up’s Beautiful Baubles

Like I promised yesterday, here is the card showcasing the “Dashing Along DSP”.  It turns out to be a rather pretty card.  I added the Beautiful Bauble as a piece to it.

My design and inspiration for the card today comes from CAS(E) This Sketch

The card base is Cherry Cobbler with the mats coming from the Dashing Along DSP.  The first panel of the Dashing Along DSP is matted using Garden Green.  The second panel is matted with Cherry Cobbler.

The Bauble is stamped on Whisper White card stock and colored using Watercolor Pencils and Stampin Blends. The bow is from the Mini Ruffled Ribbon.  I tried Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Gold, and White ribbon trying to find the one that looked best.  How I settled with Lemon Lime Twist I have no idea other than it was the one I felt looked best even though it is not a Christmas color.

I fussy cut stars from the Dashing Along DSP and adhered to the inside sentiment panel.  The sentiment is from an old stamp set, but any sentiment could be used that you like.

The greeting on the front was typed and printed on  the computer then cut using the Petals and More Thinlits.  I colored some Pearl Basic Jewels using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin Blends pen, then popped them on the greeting.  I popped 3 clear Pearl Basic Jewels on the red panel of the Dashing Along DSP.O

Have A Blessed Day!
Stampin Up Blended Seasons

Stampin Up Blended Seasons

I used the awesome Bundle Blended Seasons Stamp Set only available until August 31 to create my card to share with you today.  This set has great stitched dies and I am a bit sad that it is only available for such a short time.  Maybe Stampin Up will bring it back in a future catalog.  They sometimes do that.  I think I have used this awesome bundle for three post recently.  There is so much included in the bundle that makes it easy to use the same but yet have cards that are so different.

I started by embossing the card base Garden Green card stock with the Tin Tile Folder (available Sept.5 in the new 2018 Holiday Catalog. I then cut a panel of Cherry Cobbler cardstock 3-1/2 x 3-3/4 I adhered the panel to the front of the Garden Green card base with Stampin Dimensionals.  I also cut a 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 panel from the Festive Farmhouse DSP and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Cherry Cobbler panel.

I stamped my images on Thick Whisper White cardstock using the beautiful Blended Seasons Stamp Set Bundle. Then using my Big Shot I cut the image out using one of the dies in the Blended Season Stamp Set Bundle.  I colored my image using the Granny Apple Green and Cherry Cobbler Stampin Blends. **When using the Stampin Blends on a tiny spot like the berries on the holly, color carefully so the ink will not bleed over into the next area.  One set of images I fussy cut and used on each end of the art piece.

I popped this over the plaid panel cut from the Festive Farmhouse DSP using Stampin Dimensionals.  I then used the Big Shot again to cut a bow in Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set Bundle and using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I adhered it to the image.

I stamped the holly on the inside sentiment panel but did not put a sentiment for now.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

Stampin’ Up! is offering a limited time stamp set bundle called Blended Seasons.  It’s an exclusive 10-piece wood- or clear-mount stamp set with images for every season (also available in French)!  The stamp set can be bundled with Stitched Season Framelits Dies, which is a coordinating stitched die that includes stitching on both the positive and negative images

Cards for Christmas

Cards for Christmas

Ever had one of those days “Where do I start?”   Your mind is going faster than you can work it out!  I’ve had several of those lately with this vision problem, coming and going.

I believe there are two or three challenges I can enter these cards in.

For the first card with the Christmas ornaments, I will play along with Word Art Wednesday Challenge

For the second card with the Three Trees I will play along with the Global Design Project

The first card, I started with a Real Red card base and layered a panel of Whisper White that I had embossed using the Holly Textured Embossing Folder that is now retired.  You could use any embossing folder of your choice.  I only embossed a portion of the card so I would have room for a greeting on the side.

I cut a strip of Pacific Point cardstock and die cut it using an Edgelits Die from Stampin Up.  I adhered this to the edge of the Whisper White panel.  Over the Holly embossed portion of the panel I adhered the stripe of ornaments, I had cut using the die or it and running it through the Big Shot.  Again, someone gave me this in a box of Stampin Up stamps, so not being in an envelope or case, I do not know the name or the maker of it.

For the inside sentiment, I also die cut a strip of Pacific Point with the Lace Edgelits and adhered to the Whisper White panel for the sentiment.  I did this on both sides as I put a sentiment on both inside panels.  The stamps I used for the greeting are from my box of free stamps, so have no idea the maker.  Could be Stampin Up as I have a stamp set from Stampin Up with the Three Wise Men.

Second Card- A base of Whisper White Cut 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2.  Over this I adhered a panel from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP cut 4 x 3-1/2.  I cut a stripe of Whisper White and made it look like snow banks on one side.

I adhered this to the Twinkle Twinkle DSP.  As my Winter Woods Stamp Set from 2018 Holiday Catalog has not arrived, I used an old die for the trees.  I popped  these over the Twinkle Twinkle DSP using Stamping Dimensionals and Mini Stampin Dimensionals. The Merry Christmas is from the Blended Seasons Stamps set (available until August 31, so get this set while you can, it is a very versatile stamp set.)

The inside panel for the sentiment is bordered with a strip of the Twinkle Twinkle DSP.  The white panel is die cut with the Delicate Lace Edgelits.  I listed the Winter Woods Stamp Bundle for the trees and the tree die I used is no longer available and there is a tree die in the Winter Woods Stamp Bundle.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you liked my cards.
