Joyous Noel and Christmas Blessings

Well, Thanksgiving and Black Friday are history for 2018. My hope is that you made wonderful history for your Thanksgiving that will leave lasting fun memories. About Black Friday, I can’t say. I did not venture out. I can remember the days when I was one of those crazies that would stay all night in Walmart. Walmart sometimes surprised us and gave away gifts, but those days are long gone. Now I avoid Walmart on a normal day if possible. Sometimes though it is necessary to go, so I do what our former governor, Zell Miller said, “Bite the bullet and get it done.”

The card for today is real simple. A few paper cuts and two stamping and you have a card.

The design comes from the As You See It Challenge #189 for his week.

The base is Smokey Slate card stock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″
The first mat is Tranquil Tide which is cut 5-1/4″ x 4″
The second mat is Joyous Noel DSP cut 5″ x 3-3/4″
These are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
The third mat is a panel of Tranquil Tide also and is cut 4-1/8″ x 2-7/8″
This is popped on the Joyous Noel, second mat, using Stamping Dimensionals after the art piece with the deer is adhered.
The panel of deer from the Joyous Noel DSP is cut 4″ x 2-5/8″ and then cut into 1″ strip and adhered to the Tranquil Tide mat.
The mat for the greeting is cut using Label Framelits. It is cut from Tranquil Tide and the piece the sentiment is stamped on is Whisper White.
The sentiment is popped on with Stampin Dimensionals.
The ribbon is Stampin’ Up! 1/8″ gold ribbon.

The greeting which is usually on the front is on the inside for this card. It is stamped in Tranquil Tide ink on a panel of Whisper White that is matted on a panel of Tranquil Tide. The leaf motif is from the Christmas Pines stamp set as is the greeting.

Stampin’ Up! Half Full

Welcome!

The card today is created using the Half Full Stamp Set. This card is a bit different than the ones I usually make, but it is a fun card for just the right person. Enjoy!

I’m still one handed so it took me a bit long to get this blog all done.

I’ve decided to play along in two challenges.

Freshly Made Sketches 363 Fusion Card Challenge

The base is Merry Merlot cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″ The Copper Foil mat is cut 4″ x 5-1/4″. It is the mat for the Joyous Noel panel that is cut 3-1/4″ x 4-5/8″. The Copper Foil is also used as the strip that goes down the right side. The two mats are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The art piece with the wine glass is stamped using Smokey Slate ink and then colored using Watercolor Pencils, Granny Apple Green and Basic Grey. It is popped using Stampin’ Dimensionals on a panel of the Copper Foil for the mat, then this piece is popped onto the Joyous Noel panel.

The inside sentiment is stamped on a panel of Whisper White cut 3-3/4″ x 5″.

The art piece is colored with Watercolor Pencils – Cherry Cobbler, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Basic Grey. The sentiment is stamped using Merry Merlot ink.

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew November Blog Hop – Merry Christmas

Welcome! Here it is the second Tuesday of October and you know what happens on the second Tuesday of each month. Our team gets together, and we have a team blog hop. Enjoy all the beautiful cards these talented ladies on Amy’s Inkin Krew, of which I am happy to be a member, have created. You will find much talent and inspiration for your own creations.

The card today is created usingtwo stamp sets, Lovely As A Tree stamp set, Star of Light and the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I made two cards. They are one layer. I tied making as simple as possible, because of difficulty of having one hand to work with. It has been a challenge but I got it accomplished.

Merry Merlot and Night of Navy card stock was used. They were embossed with Versa Mark and then heat embossed with silver and gold embossing powder.

The inside sentiments are stamped on a panel of Whisper White with either Night of Navy Ink or Merry Merlot. The swirling cloud and stars was stamped off once using again either Merry Merlot or Night of Navy Ink.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Pines

Here is the card recipe:

Card base: Cherry Cobbler 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 4-1/2”

Art Piece: Whisper White 3” x 4-1/4” Embossed with Woodlands Embossing Folder

Inside Panel: Whisper White 4” x 5-1/4”

Oval: Garden Green Layering Oval Framelit for greeting” Wishes for a Beautiful Christmas”

Sentiment: Whisper White 4” x 5-1/4” stamped using Garden Green Ink and the Christmas Pines stamp set

The pine cones and pine boughs for the art piece are cut using the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies that coordinate with the Christmas Pines stamp set. The berry twigs were also cut from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and colored red and brown using the Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Stampin Write Markers.

A bow was made from Linen Thread and adhered to the pine cones with Glue Dots. A red bow was also cut from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and adhered over the Linen Bow.

The green mat for the greeting is cut from a scrap of Garden Green card stock. The greeting is stamped using Garden Green ink and matted to the Garden Green mat. The star is from the Best Route Enamel Shapes and is colored red using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin” Blend. To give a little bling Silver Washi Tape was used on two corners.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Baubles

The stamp set for this card is the Beautiful Baubles stamp bundle. It truly is a beautiful stamp set. The baubles are so pretty. The elements were cut using the Big Shot. The bauble in the center makes me think of a bird cage. They were cut from Silver Glimmer paper and adhered to a Night of Navy mat that was embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder then adhered to the Thick Whisper White card base.

Three different sizes and designs of silver Washi Tape was wrapped around the Night of Navy mat and adhered in the back with tape so they would not come loose.

Three Best Route Enamel Shapes were colored with a Real Red Stampin Blend pen, then adhered to the inside of the circle where the Bauble is.

The “Deck the Halls” greeting is stamped in Versa Mark and then heat embossed using Silver Embossing Powder.

The inside sentiment is stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then a mat of Night of Navy was adhered over it using Liquid Glue. The Night of Navy panel is embossed and cut using one of the Thinlits Dies from the Beautiful Baubles Bundle. Two red stars are also adhered to the Night of Navy Panel.
