Stampin’ Up! A Child Is Born

Stampin’ Up! A Child Is Born

The card I am sharing today was created using Stampin’ Up! A Child Is Born Stamp Set.  This is an easel card and a CAS of one Mary Deatherage created a month or so ago, though hers was not a fun fold.  You can find it on her blog.

Card Cuts For This Card

  • Night of Navy cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
    • label card front — 3-1/2″ 4-1/4″
  • Silver Foil Sheet
    • mat card front — 4-1/8″″ x 5-3/8″
    • die cut label — 4″ x 5-1/2″”
  • Designer Series Paper
  • mat card front —  4″ x 5-1/4″
  •
  • Basic White cardstock
    •  inside panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″

The card base is Night of Navy cardstock cut at 4-1/4″ x 11″  and scored at 5-1/2″ and 2-3/4″.  This creates the easel.

Adhere the 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of  Silver Foil to the Night of Navy ca rd base.  Adhere the  4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Night of Navy designer series paper (do not know the name) to the Silver Foil.  Using the largest dies from Branching Out Dies, die cut from the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Silver Foil for a mat.  Using the second-largest die from Branching Out Dies, die cut a label from Night of Navy cardstock.  On this piece of Night of Navy cardstock, stamp the Holy Family image from Stampin’ Up! A Child is Born Stamp Set, using VersaMark ink and Silver Embossing Powder, and a heat tool to set the embossing powder.  Also, stamp the star image in VersaMark ink, then sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder and set with a heat tool.  Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! A Child is Born Stamp Set in VersaMark, sprinkled with Black Embossing Powder, then set with a heat tool.  Die-cut the greeting using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  Adhere the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals and place it on the card front as shown in the photo above.

Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! A Child is Born Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  Stamp the stars in VersaMark, sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder, and set using a heat tool. An image from Stampin’ Up! A Child is Born Stamp Set is stamped in VersaMark ink on a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, sprinkled with Silver Embossing Powder, then heat set using a heat tool.

A Basic White envelope gets Merry Christmas stamped on the envelope flap in Night of Navy ink.

This is the way the card looks standing.

This is how the card looks from the side.

A piece of Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper has a border of Secret Sea cardstock adhered to the top and lower edges.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Peace On Earth Stamp Set is stamped in Secret Sea ink onto the panel.  The panel is then adhered to a Cloud Cove cer cardstock panel and adhered to the card base.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Looking at the photo above, adhere the panels together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere the Gold Foil pinecones to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Pop the dove over the pine branch using  Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is how the card looks when standing.  Pop the Crumb Cake piece on the Cherry Cobbler piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Run the ribbon between the Stampin’ Dimensionals before adhering to the Cherry Cobbler piece.

Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on the Crumb Cake cardstock panel.

Adhere a piece of Elegant Pine Snowflake Designer Series Paper to the Basic White envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Wishes — Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Wishes — Merry Christmas

Don’t you just hate it when you have your blog all ready and your computer blinks and you lose it all. Even saving as I went along did not prevent it. That’s what happened to me last night, so I gave up and went to bed.  Trying again today.

The . I am sharing today is a CAS of one Amy Koenders created.  When I saw her card, I thought it so beautiful and wanted to create my own.  I had no idea of the real beauty until I created mine, photos do not do justice to the beauty of the card. Cick on Amy’s name above and it will take you to her blog. She has a video and pdf available and her instructions are very detailed in the pdf.  So if you decide you want to create your own, go to her instructions.

I am giving the card cuts for this card.  My creating is a different one than Amy used.  I used one of the greetings from Joyful Saying Ephemera Pack.  I die cut two circles using two different size dies from Stylish Shape Dies, embossed both, adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and adhered the greeting. The greeting is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue again.  Dots from Glossy Dots Assortment are popped around the card front.

Card Cuts

  • Shaded Spruce cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ score at 5-1/2
    • panel card front — 4′ x 5-1/4″
    • strip 1/2″ x 3-7/8″  for die cut
  • Real Red cardstock
    • panel —  3″ x 3-7/8″ greeting die cut
  • Basic Beige cardstock
    • inside panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • tag card front —
  • Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper
      • top panel — 2-1/2″ x 3-7/8″
      • fussy cuts (3)

The sentiment is another of the many choices you get from the Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack.  I used Basic Beige and a Blending Brush to give a bit of color to the sentiment as it was white and I wanted it to blend more with the Basic Beige panel.  Also, greenery with berries was fussy cut from the same panel of Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper as the card front.

A Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees — love & joy

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees — love & joy

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees Stamp Set and Dies.  The greeting and sentiment are both from this stamp set.  I also used Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla cardstock.

The card base is Very Vanilla cardstock with a layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder.  The remaining parts of the card are created using scraps from other cards that I have created.  The Season of Green and Gold Designer Series Paper is the base for the Christmas tree.  Scraps of other Designer Series Papers are adhered to a piece of an adhesive sheet, sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

The Christmas tree piece is adhered over the Mossy Meadow cardstock embossed piece uing Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Daffodil Delight  dots from Glossy Dots Assortment are popped around the card front.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees Stamp Set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a Very Vanilla scrap, trimmed and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A small bow is created using Gold Twisted Thread.  It is popped on the top of the tree using a Glue Dot.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees Stamp Set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  A negative piece from die cutting trees is adhered over the sentiment giving the appearance of a tree.  The panel is adhered to the Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Very Vanilla envelope gets a piece of Season of Green and Gold Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
