Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers

Hello all, are you having a nice Saturday and have lots of plans, even with this awful thing that limits most of our activities. Have a fun weekend in spite of all the limitations.

The card I am sharing today is a Double Z Fold card. It features the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. This card is a CAS(E) of a stampin’ friend and team member in New Jersey, no not Amy Koenders🙂, but Karen Ksenzakovic. You can see her card here.

My inspiration for this fun fold card comes from the Dream Valley Challenge – the theme is More Than One Fold

Karen has such great instructions, I believe I will direct you to her site if you are interested in the instructions. I suppose I could CAS(E) (we CAS(E) cards why not instructions) her instructions🙂 and put them here.

The tiny butterflies are cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Beauty Dies. The sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Grace’s Garden, Sending Sunshine, and Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Sets are stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on different size labels that have been cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

A Stampin’ Up! Whisper White medium-sized envelope gets a panel of the Celebrate Sunflowers added to the envelope flap and your project is finished.

Good morning stampers! I hope your weekend was great fun-filled with family as we are still in the social distancing stage. Those who had to work thank you for going to the war zones for us.

This card features the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.

The inspiration for the design comes from CAS(E) This Sketch .

Start with a Stampin’ Up! Old Olive card stock card base. Next is a Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Bliss card stock mat for the three pieces of the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper that creates the design for the challenge.

Space the DSP pieces so as to give them a border. Once they are adhered down using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere to the card base. Stamp the greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Band Together Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a small panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock, crop using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Die Set. Add a single rhinestone, pop on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Crop a panel of Whisper White using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and stamp a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Stamp Set. Stamp a cross from the Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope Stamp Set in Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather Classic Ink. stamp Off once before stamping over the sentiment. Adhere to the Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Bliss mat then adhere to the card base.

To finish the project, give a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope a panel of the Peaceful Poppies DSP.

Happy Sunday everyone here’s wishing you a day of fun and rest.

My card challenges for today are The Card Concept — My inspiration is from the check blanket and the trees in the background, the planks on the building and the copper color of the lights in the lanterns.

And…

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges — Marsha’s Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist.

The first thing was to cut a panel of Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock for the card base. Next was to crop the tree from Crumb Cake card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Majestic Mountain Dies. I then smushed the tree on the Delicata Copper Stamp pad to color the tree. To speed up drying of the ink, I used the heat tool.

The background is created using the Stampin’ Up! Buffalo Check Stamp and Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder then popped on the Crumb Cake card base using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embossing the Buffalo Check panel gives it the appearance of being flannel.

Next, using a Stampin’ Up! Layering Oval Die, I cut an oval from Stampin’ Up! Basic Black Cardstock, popping it on the Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock panel embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. The tree was then glued to the oval using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The “Time To Celebrate” greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake card stock and cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die. It is popped on with Glue Dots.

Five little red hearts are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Real Red ink on a Crumb Cake card stock scrap and fussy cut and added to the card front. The little hearts give it a touch of color and could be used for a masculine valentine card by changing the greeting.

The sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Stamp Set is stamped in Delicata Copper Ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock. The tree is adhered in the lower corner.

A panel from Stampin’ Up! 6” x 6” Neutral Designer Series Paper is adhered to the flap of a Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Best Dressed with Beautiful Moments

Happy Friday in spite of the yukky weather we are supposed to have for the weekend. There is one thing about it, we can like it and have fun or be grumpy and unhappy.

This is the front of my card, the base is Stampin’ Up! Petal Pink card stock with a Stampin’ Up! Best Dressed Designer Series Paper as the focal panel. This is a shadow box card and I followed the instructions in Dawn Griffith’s video here.

Dawn’s instructions are much better than any I can try to write in this blog. If you are interested in creating one, follow her instructions and it will be easy. Here is how the inside of the card looks. I wanted to create it so it appeared the mom and little girl were window shopping.

The greeting is from the Beautiful You Stamp Set and is stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and then cropped with the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Label Dies and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My challenges today are The Paper Players –FashionFun

The Time Out Challenge – Item in Your Wardrobe — The shoes in the store window remind me of the ones I wore to work daily when young and how I walked from Buckhead to Lenox each day in them. Crazy is what I had to be.

I believe these two challenges complement each other well.

I probably should have held the card in my hand when I opened it to the inside and have realized that as I type this.

I fussy cut all the items for the store window from panels of the Stampin’ Up! Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper created a shelf for each and popped them on the panel of DSP that is the wallpaper for the store window. The mom and girl do not show up as well as I would like, It looks as if I did not color their arms and legs but my camera doesn’t pick it up I suppose. I stamped their dresses on a piece of the Best Dressed DSP, fussy cut then glued over the existing dresses. The little girls’s dress is pink, but it shows up brown.

In finishing a panel of the Best Dressed 6′ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is adhered to the envelope flap.

Good Morning everyone,

The Sisterhood of Crafters is the challenge I am playing in today. Use your newly acquired stash.

Today I am sharing a product that is available in the Jan.-June 2020 Mini Catalog. I am using Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Stone 3D Embossing Folder in creating my card today. The sentiment is found in the Stampin’ Up! Special Someone Stamp Set and Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock with a background panel from the same card stock that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Stone 3D Embossing Folder and then popped on the card base using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals. The pink panel is cut from Stampin’ Up! 6′ x 6″ Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.

The flowers are from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Stamp Set and are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate ink. They are colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers and Light Granny Apple Stampin’ Blends. Several sequins from Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Backed Sequins are randomly placed around the card front.
