Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts with Hues of Happiness

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set along with the Fern & Timber 3D Embossing Folders.

The design for my card today is inspired by the Try Stamping On Tuesday Challenge.

I started with a Gorgeous Grape card stock card base .

A panel of Gorgeous Grape card stock is embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. It is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Night of Navy card stock is embossed using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. It is then adhered over the Timber embossed panel. A banner is cut from Hues of Happiness DSP and adhered across the Fern embossed panel. I created an oval by drawing and cutting off one end. A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on the oval and then popped on the card front.

Flowers and leaves are fussy cut from a panel of Hues of Happiness DSP. I know there are dies to crop, but I like the white around the flowers to be small than what cropping creates. They are popped around the oval and greeting using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. A dot from the Glossy Dots Assortment is popped on the greeting and two more are popped on the upper left.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on a Basic White panel. Flowers from the Hues of Happiness DSP are fussy cut and adhered to the lower right corner.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Hues of Happiness DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Happy HedgeHog and Sweet Songbirds

The card I am sharing today is a combination of two stamp sets, Stampin’ Up! Happy Hedgehogs for the art piece and Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds for the greeting and sentiment. I also used Basic Borders Dies to give a decorative edge to the art piece.

Today, I am entering the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge — their theme for this challenge is Any Occasion.

My card has many layers today starting with a Bermuda Bay card stock card base, adding a layer of Basic White card stock, a layer of Early Espresso card stock as a mat for the art piece, and a strip of Bermuda Bay card stock cropped using a die from the Basic Borders Dies.

My art piece is watercolored so there are no dark borders showing, I used Sahara Sand ink, stamping off once leaving only a faint outline when stamped. Barely touching the end of a Water Painter to the ink pads I colored the flowers with Daffodil Delight ink, the tree trunk with Early Espresso ink, and the leaves with a mixture of Old Olive and Granny Apple Green ink. The center of the flowers I colored using a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Marker. The bird is Melon Mambo and Balmy Blue ink.

I colored a length of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon using a Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Marker. The ribbon is wrapped around all layers and tied in a knot giving the appearance of a bow. Jewels are popped around the card front and then the layered pieces are adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set is stamped in Night of Navy ink in the upper corner of the art piece.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets a bird from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Hedgehogs stamp set stamped in Sahara Sand ink in the lower corner along with a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set also stamped in Sahara Sand ink.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP adhered to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves Thinking of You Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set and Intricate Dies.

Inspiration for my card comes from two challenges today, the first being the Allsorts Challenge. Their theme for this challenge is Autumn. I have autumn leaves on my card.

The second is The Sisterhood of Crafter, their theme is Happy Birthday, though my card says Thinking of You, which people usually do on the birthday of family or friend, the inside sentiment is a birthday sentiment.

My card base is Evening Evergreen card stock with a layer of In Good Taste DSP trimmed in Pattern Party DSP is the focal panel. A different pattern of the DSP is cut for the banner that goes down one side of the card. A length of ribbon is colored using a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker and wrapped around the card front between the two DSPs. A small length of ribbon is tied in a knot and adhered using a Mini Glue Dot.

Leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set are stamped using the Baby Wipe method for the stamp pad. The leaves are cropped using a dies from the Intricate Leaves Dies. They are then popped on the woodgrain strip using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from my stash, I probably have 25-50 of these greeting labels so I am sure you will see more along the way. Any greeting could be used in place of the one I used. Three Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped on the card front, one being added to the greeting label.

The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Elegantly Said and Pansy Patch Stamp Sets. It is stamped in Crumb Cake ink on a Basic White card stock panel. Leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set are stamped using the Baby Wipe method for an ink pad. I used Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, and Cinnamon Cider inks dropped on the Baby Wipe to create the stamp pad. The leaves were cropped using a die from the Intricate Leaves Dies.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Good Taste DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy joins Poinsettia Place

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope your weekend has been as gorgeous as the one we are having where I live. The leaves are a changin’, the weather is perfect. It makes you want to sit outside forever, but then I could not give you a sneak peek of the Stampin’ Up! Curvy dies that bundle with the Quite Curvy Stamp Set. You can see information near the bottom of the page.

Design inspiration for today comes from the Freshly Made Sketches 457.

And…

Craftyhazelnuts Patterned Paper Challenge.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Garden Green card stock. I wanted the card front embossed and instead of putting my card front through the Embossing Machine and probably ruining it like I always used to do until our great team leader gave us all a little tip on how to prevent it. Cut a panel of card stock the size of your card front, emboss it, and then adhere to the card front after all the elements have been added. Works every time!

Layer a panel of Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper (DSP) onto the Stampin’ Up! Pinewoods Plank Embossed panel of Garden Green card stock. Over this layer a more narrow and longer panel. The first panel is adhered using Multipurpose Glue and the second panel is popped on using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The poinsettias are fussy cute from a panel of the Poinsettia Place DSP and popped on over the panels of DSP. A length of Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread is wrapped around the flowers. The leaves are from Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature Stamp Bundle. The greeting from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Early Expresso ink on the Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla strip of card stock that is then cropped using a die from the Curvy Dies that are bundled with the Quite Curvy Stamp Set. It is popped across the bottom of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A rhinestone from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Rhinestone Jewels is popped to the greeting.

The sentiment panel gets a strip of the Poinsettia Place DSP to the Very Vanilla panel.

The envelope gets a panel of the Poinsettia Place DSP also and your card project is finished.

Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you have a great Sunday. It is a good day to stay in and make cards with the weather so yukky!

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Stamp Set, along with Touched My Heart and Peaceful Moments Stamp Sets for the greeting and sentiment.

My inspiration for today’s challenge comes from the Cut It Up Challenge – Use A Die Cut.

Seize The Birthday Anything Goes

This was an easy card to create. Start with a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock base. Emboss a Whisper White panel using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, it will be added to the card base once all the card front elements are added.

The peonies are stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock and colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, and Shaded Spruce.

A length of Flirty Flamingo ribbon is wrapped around the embossed panel. I do not know the name of the ribbon. The Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Die cut is popped over the ribbon and the peonies are popped on alternating corners of the panel. Three Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Basic Jewels are scattered over the card front.

The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a Whisper White panel. Small peonies have been stamped, colored with the same blends as the card front, cropped, and placed around the sentiment panel. Lastly, this panel is adhered to the inside of the card base and your card is finished.
