Stampin’ Up! Detailed Dogwood

Are you ready for Christmas and just waiting for the excitement of the coming day? I’m still in the Christmas card mode. I still have a few to make and I know they will be late but just want friends to know I am thinking of them.

This is another sneak peak of what’s coming in January. Stampin’ Up!! Detailed Dogwood stamp set is a Sale-a-Bration free stamp set with a qualifying order. I know Stampin’ Up! doesn’t carry over SAB items to another catalog, but this is one stamp set I wish that could happen for. I also used Exposed Brick 3 D Embossing Folder and a panel of Designer Series Paper from Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper. I don’t believe I have ever made a card that Stampin’ Up! shows in the catalogs, so I have decided to try and make as many of them as possible. This one is from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

I am entering the Can You Handle The Pressure? Challenge for this card.

The card stock is Flirty Flamingo for the card base. I embossed a panel of the same using the Exposed Brick 3 D Embossing Folder. This panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. A panel of Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper is adhered over the embossing panel after having the edges roughed up and the edges brushed with Crumb Cake ink using a Blending Brush. This panel is adhered at a slight angle

Flowers from Stampin’ Up! Detailed Dogwood stamp set is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on Basic White card stock then colored using Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers. Using Calypso Coral ink, dots are stamp across the bottom of the Nature’s Sweetness panel using a stamp from the same stamp set. A strip of Vellum and Natural Wavy Trim are adhered around the card front above the dots. The flower piece is popper over them using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using two decorative stamps from the stamp set one is stamped on the Nature’s Sweetness panel, the other is stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock fussy cut and popped on the card front using a Stampin’ Dimensional. Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels are colored using a Calypso Coral Stampin Blends Marker, then popped on the card front. A Linen Thread double bow is made and popped on the flower stem using a Mini Glue Dot. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms stamp set is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock in a combination of Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake ink to achieve the color showing. The greeting is die cut using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies, then adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White panel get a sentiment from December Paper Pumpkin and Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow stamp set stamped in the same ink combination as the greeting. A row of the dots are stamped in Calypso Coral ink across the bottom of the panel. A flower from Stampin’ Up! Detailed Dogwood stamp set is stamped in Crumb Cake ink, then colored using the same colors as the card front flowers.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock embossed using the Exposed Brick 3 D Embossing Folder. The piece is cut 2-1/4″ x 6″ and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Lovely & Sweet — Hello

I am sharing a little sneak peek of one of the stamp sets in the new Jan.-April 2024 Mini catalog. I love this stamp set the minutes I saw it in the catalog. I was so happy when it arrived. I used Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper, Pecan Pie card stock, with a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow Stamp Set. The inside sentiment is from the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin and Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Stamp Set.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge for this card.

As this is not your normal fold card, you will start with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Pecan Pie card stock for the card base. Next you will need a piece of Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper cut 5-1/4″ x 8. Score this piece at 2″ and 4″, fold and burnish well. Adhere this piece to the Pecan Pie card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Cut a piece of Pecan Pie card stock, 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ embossing using Exposed Brick 3 D Embossing Folder. Adhere this piece to the 2″ side of the card front. Only put glue on a portion of the card that covers the 2″ section. If you put glue on the entire piece, you will glue your card closed. Fussy cut from one of the panel of Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper the arrangement you see on the card front. Color using Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used the Balmy Blue to lightly at tint to the two flowers. I used the Bronze Stampin’ Blends Maker to go around the circle behind the flowers to give a bit of distinction between the embossed piece and the circle behind the flowers as they are the same color. After coloring the flower piece is adhered to the embossed piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Three Adhesive Backed Cork Rounds are popped around the card front. A piece of Gold Faux Leather Trim is adhered under the greeting from Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Memento Black Ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and popped over the Gold Faux Leather Trim.

A piece of Pecan Pie card stock is cut the same size as the one on the card front. It is adhered to the inside of the card. I find the best way to make sure the card on the inside is not seen when the card is closed is to position the piece over the one on the front, put the adhesive over it and then close the card back, this will make sure the card is in the right position not to be seen when the card is closed. A sentiment from the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin and Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a 2-7/8″ x 3-7/8″ Basic White card stock piece, then adhered to the Pecan Pie mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper a different pattern for the envelope flap. Cut the piece for the envelope 2-1/4″ x 6″, adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The card shared today felt like making no card at all it was so easy. Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper is used along with Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet and Charming Sentiments stamp sets.

The card base is Crushed Curry card stock. Cut a piece 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score at 4-1/4″. Trim 3/4″ front the card front. This will enable you to see the inside panel.

A piece of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper is trimmed down to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Cut 5/8″ strip from the right side of the panel. This will be used for the inside as you see in the photo. A greeting is stamp in Boho Blue ink at the top of the panel. 20223-2025 In Color Dots are popped on the card front.

Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set in Boho Blue ink on a Basic White panel. Adhere the strip you cut from the panel of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper used on the card front. The card is finished. Simple and easy.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a piece of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles With Timeless Arrangements

Can you believe 22 days until Christmas? Do you have all your shopping finished and cards made ready to mail? I received my first Christmas card yesterday. Tho’ I need Christmas cards my card today is not one. I also need birthday cards as my supply has been depleted. The card I am sharing for today is created using Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles, Scenic Wonders and Timeless Arrangements stamp sets, along with a die from Garden Meadow Dies.

I am entering Happy Little Stampers Birthday Challenge.

I am also entering {PIN}spirational Challenges as my card is a birthday card.

The card base is Garden Green card stock. A piece of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper is die cut using a die from Garden Meadow Dies. One side is used as the frame for the other side the arch is die cut from to create it. The negative piece or frame is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The arch piece is popped back into the negative piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A greeting is stamped in Garden Green ink on a scrap of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper. The greeting is paired with a strip of Garden Green card stock and a Linen Thread bow is made and adhered behind the greeting. Three Iridescent Basic Pearl Jewels are popped around the card front.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Scenic Wonders and Timeless Arrangements is stamped in Garden Green ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. It is framed using the negative portion left from another die cut using the same pattern of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a piece of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Magical Meadow

I am sure everyone over ate on Thursday and Friday with all the left-overs that seem to multiply when the food is being put away after enjoying the Thanksgiving feast. Many did not get that opportunity to have a feast with family and friends, they are the one who keep us safe so we can enjoy our freedom for now. Many were far away, like my friend’s son who is in a non disclosable place that family doesn’t know. Have a great week-end enjoying all the sales.

The card today is created using Stampin’ Up! Magical Meadow stamp set and Magical Meadow Dies. along with Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper, along with Basic Border Dies.

I am entering the Seize The Birthday – Anything Goes Challenge for this card.

The card base is Basic White card stock. A layer of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper is added to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. A piece of Basic White card stock is die cut using a die from Basic Border Dies and adhered over the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper panel. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set is stamped in Lost Lagoon ink on the Basic White Die cut piece. The glue is put about 1/4 ” from the top so the stems, twigs, berry branches could be tucked under the Basic Border cut panel. Dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue is used to adhered the greenery to the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper panel.

A flower is die cut from Basic White card stock using a die from Paper Florist Dies. It is color washed using Blueberry Bushel ink. Use a drop of ink and lots of water using a Water Painter to get the wash to a pale blue. The same is true of all the greenery, Shaded Spruce, Lost Lagoon and Blueberry Bushel inks are used. Iridescent Basic Jewel Pearls are popped on some of the berries and others are colored with the Blueberry Bushel wash. Some silver thread is used to create a large bow popped under the flower. Wink of Stella is flicked over the card front.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Scenic Wonders stamp set is stamped in Lost Lagoon ink on the negative portion left from the piece on the card front. It is adhered over a panel of Winter Magic Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
