Stampin’ Up! Buffalo Checks

Welcome, here it is Wednesday and the week-end is on the way. As red is one of my favorite colors, the other being purple, I will love doing this As You See It Challenge.

This was a fast and easy card, but pretty from my point of view. I guess you could say that is in the eye of the beholder.

The Buffalo Check Stamp Pad was used in making this card. The Stamparatus was used so that it could be stamped as many times as necessary to get the depth of color desired. The stamp was inked with Memento Black in and stamped on a 5-1/4″ x 4″ panel of Cherry Cobbler.

The log panel at the top is from the Wood Texture DSP. It was fussy cut and adhered with Liquid Glue. The antlers were cut from the Night Owl Thinlits Dies also using a panel of Wood Texture DSP. It is a tree limb, but turned the right direction it can look like antlers. A length of Linen Thread was wrapped around the Buffalo Check panel twice and tied in a knot.

The greeting is cut using a scalloped oval die and stamped with a branches stamp from the Christmas Pines stamp set. The “happy birthday is a stamp from an old Paper Pumpkin that I cut in two pieces so it would fit this label. It is popped over the antlers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White and matted on a Cherry Cobbler panel.

Stampin’ Up! Hanging Garden Broadway Bound

Welcome to my blog!

I love making cards with strips and dots but afraid I have not done justice to these strips and dots. There are so many beautiful cards. Check them out at Double “D” Challenge

I’m also playing along at Global Design Project . Check out all the fabulous cards on this site also.

This was a very easy card to create. A card base of Basic Black cut 4-1/4″ x 11″and scored at 5-1/2.” A mat was cut from the Broadway Bound DSP and adhered to the Basic Black card base with Liquid Glue. A banner was cut 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ from a piece of the Broadway Bound DSP. The birthday cake is fussy cut from a scrap of the same DSP.

The inside sentiment is from the Hanging Garden stamp set and is stamped in Memento Black ink on the Whisper White panel. The panel is made to look like a marquee with the strips and dots adhered around it. The shine of the gold stripe and the gold dots does not show up in the picture. You can see the shine in the picture below.

Stampin’ Up! Falling Leaves — Timeless Textures

WELCOME!

Happy Friday! Are you ready for a fantastic fall week-end. Beautiful here where I live. This is my favorite time of the year. I just want to be outside taking walks and enjoying the beauty that God created for us to enjoy. Have a great week-end–watching college football. The Dawgs have to do better this week than they did last week.

There are two cards to encourage or inspire you in your own creative journey. Have fun whatever you do.

I thought I would play along with Sunday Stamps, Amy’s card encouraged me. Yeah! I managed to do three.

Also, Twofer Card Challenge Harvest, I sure hope my two cards are different enough to be considered different.

And for #3 the Creative With Stamps Challenge #31 Halloween or Leaves.

This first card has a card base of So Saffron with a mat of Cajun Craze and Grapefruit Grove and then a split mat of Pool Party and Whisper White that has been embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. The Pool Party side has been embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

One leaf has been cut using the Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies and the other has been cut using the Seasonal Layer Thinlits. Bling has been added in the way of Basic Jewel Pearls colored with Stampin’ Blends Mango Medley and Daffodil Delight.

The sentiment is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.

The second card to make this qualified for the Twofer’s Challenge

has a base of Whisper White 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. The mat is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel cut from one of the Copper Foil sheets. You only want an outside border and do not need the full sheet, so a panel was cut from the center leaving a 3/4″ border all around so as to have enough space to adhered the art sheet to the Copper Foil panel.

The Whisper White art piece on the Thank You card has been stamped, stamping off once on a scrap of paper before stamping on the art piece, using the Timeless Textures stamp set and Sahara Sand. The leaves were cut using the Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies and the Seasonal Layer Thinlits . A leaf mat of Pool Party was made for two of the leaves. Those leaves were cut using the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper and Mango Medley card stock. A Cajun Craze mat was cut for the Pool Party Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies.

The Thanks You is from the Vertical Greeting stamp set and is stamped using Versa Mark and heat embossing with Gold Embossing Powder.

The inside sentiment is from the Hanging Garden stamp set and is stamped using Versa Mark Ink and then heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. A leaf with the sentiment stamped on it was cut using a die from the Seasonal Layer Thinlits and then adhered to the spot it was cut from. The sentiment panel was also stamped using the Timeless Textures stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Woodlands

Welcome, glad you stopped by. The card today is created using the Woodlands Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF) I am happy tto see that Stampin’ Up! has kept this for a few years as I use it often all year round. It is a good for a variety of cards. This is made for a male family member that has a birthday in December.

The design for this week is from Sunday Stamps

The card base is Whisper White card stock 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″. The Joyous Noel DSP mat is cut 5″ x 3-3/4″ and it is matted with a panel of Basic Black cut 5-1/4 x 4″ . The art piece is a panel of Whisper White cut 3″ x 3-1/4″ and matted on a Basic Black cu t 3-1/4″ x 3-1/2″. I double matted the art piece to give it a bit of height so I would not have to use dimensionals to make it easier for mailing. The trees on the art piece are from the Nature Sings Stamp Set. After stamping the trees, an Aqua Painter was used along with Balmy Blue ink to wash the paper to make it look like sky. The Woodlands Embossing piece had to be trimmed to fit the 3-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ Basic Black mat.

The strip of Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper is cut 4″ x 1/2″. I used a pair of scissors that is probably as old as Stampin’ Up! to cut the scallops on the Glimmer Paper.

The greeting that is adhered to the Glimmer Paper is from the Postcard Pal Stamp Set.

Stampin’ Up! Around The Corner with Sheltering Tree

How that for a title “Around the Corner with Sheltering Tree? The next few days we will be enjoying or maybe I should say my husband and BIL will be enjoying the music of the Old Timers’ Bluegrass Festival in Townsend, TN. This is a twice a year trip May and September.

The card for today is from the Around the Corner, Sheltering Tree and Postcard Pals stamp sets.

Inspiration and design come from several challenges that are happening.

This card is CAS(E)d from one seen on Pinterest. It wasn’t saved to a board, so the name of the person who created it, I can’t name. If someone out there has seen the card and saved it please let me know the name of the person so credit can be given. I found the card awesomely beautiful and wanted to make one. It looked so clean and simple.

Two cards were really made. Can you pick out the difference that was created to cover up forgetting to take the stamp off the Stamparatus when I went to stamp the next part of the card.

The card base is Basic Black cardstock for one and Pumpkin Pie for the other. A mask was made using removable label paper and the Clearance Rack Leaflet Framelits Dies. it was attached to the 3-3/4″ x 5″ Whisper White art piece. Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake were used to make the big leaf background. After the background leaf was finished, the masking was removed an attached to a piece of wax paper to be used another day.

Using the tree stamp from the Sheltering Tree stamp set the tree was stamped in Memento Black Ink in the center of the leaf.

The greeting from Around the Corner stamp set was stamped on the lower left corner using Memento Black Ink also. The Whisper White art panel is adhered to the Basic Black mat using Liquid Glue and then popped on the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is stamped using Memento Black ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock from the stamp set Postcard Pals. The Whisper White sentiment panel is adhered to a Basic Black mat and this is adhered to the inside of the card.
