Colorful Seasons

I used the Colorful Seasons and So Hoppy Together stamp sets to create my card for today.
It is Thursday and the weekend’s almost upon us, can you believe? I think the sun is out a good bit of that time–so YAH! for the sun.
My design and inspiration come from two challenges this week. What Will You Stamp and Casology.

x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and then folded on score line.

The Animal Expedition DSP focal mat is cut 3-3/4″ x 5″ and adhered with Liquid Glue to the Lemon Lime Twist mat.
After the Animal Expedition Focal mat is adhered to the Lemon Lime Twist mat a length of ribbon is wrapped around the two panels and a bow is tied. They are then adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.
A frog from the stamp set So Hoppy Together is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and colored using a Blender Pen and Lemon Lime Twist stamp pad. I masked off the cycle part of the stamp as I only wanted the frog. The art piece was then adhered to a Lemon Lime Twist mat. Three hearts have been fussy cut from a panel of All My Love DSP and adhered using a tiny drop of Liquid Glue behind each. That finishes the front.
The inside sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. A frog from the So Hoppy Together stamp set is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist in the corner of the card.I hope you like my cute card and find encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.

The Petal Pink mat has been embossed using the Subtle TIEF. If you are still undecided about getting the Subtle embossing folder, go for it, it gives so much texture to a card and makes a world of difference in the way your card will look. It is on page 223 of the Annual catalog. I know we are all excited about the Occasions catalog but there are still great products in the Annual catalog also.

The decorative lattice piece on the right side is from the Petals and More Thinlits Dies set. It is adhered using Liquid Glue. Three Pearl Basic Jewels are popped on the art panel and finally, the art panel is popped on the Petal Pink mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting stamped in Fresh Fig ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock is from the Itty Bitty stamp set and was cut out the shape of the stamp.

This panel is adhered to the Whisper White panel using Liquid Glue and then adhered to the Blackberry Bliss embossed panel again using Liquid Glue. A Whisper White label is cut using one of the dies from the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies. The greeting from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set is stamped on the label using Blackberry Bliss Ink.
Blackberry Bliss Nature’s Twine is wound through the cut-outs on the label and tied in a bow. A few leaves are cut using the dies in the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies and adhered behind the label with Glue Dots. The embossed Blackberry Bliss panel is now popped on the card base using Stampin Dimensionals.
The card front is now finished and on to the inside sentiment.
The inside sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set is stamped in Blackberry Bliss on a panel of Whisper White. A die from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits is placed on the sentiment panel and put through the Big Shot. This dies gives the panel a bit of texture.

Happy Tuesday.
The candy jar and the lollipop are fussy cut from another panel of How Sweet It Is DSP. The candy jar is popped in the Coastal Cabana space. The stick for the lollipop is cut in two pieces so that it will look as if the lollipop is sticking all the way behind the candy jar. A tiny bow is made from a short length of Whisper White Twine and tied around the lollipop stick just below the lollipop. Tiny gummy bears are fussy cut and scattered around the candy jar. After all items have been adhered to the focal panel, it is popped onto the card base using Mini Stampin Dimensionals.
Since I did not have a Happy Birthday stamp that was a single line, I used the stamp from the Better Together stamp set and did a bit of masking so it would only stamp one word at a time. It was stamped on a strip of Whisper White card stock in Lovely Lipstick and matted on a strip of Coastal Cabana card stock.
This was then popped onto the card base at the bottom of the card, leaving a blank space between the greeting and the focal panel, so I added a few Coastal Cabana stars and I am just now realized that must be a retired item, so you can use any of the Basic Jewel elements to fill in this space or maybe a length of ribbon. The card front is now finished.
