Amy’s Inkin’ Krew December Blog Hop — “Celebrate”

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew December Blog Hop — “Celebrate”

Welcome!  It’s that time — what time is that you ask!  Time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop.  On the second Tuesday of each month, you can always find a group of talented stampers that make up a part of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew showcasing their talent by creating cards for our Blog Hop! Our theme for December is “Celebrate”.  We can interpret “Celebrate” however we chose, so I am creating a birthday card. Be sure you check out each person’s blog, you will find much talent and inspiration.  You may even find that you would like to CAS(E) one of the cards.  Well let’s begin, I know you are wanting to see all the awesome cards.

I made a similar card to this one on October 22.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set. I am making the card in blues as it is a birthday card.  While making this card, I realize this is a set that can be used for a variety of cards.  The card base is Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray card stock.  A panel of Stampin’ Up! Silver Foil Sheets card stock is used as the mat for the Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Frost DSP background panel.

The frames for the cardinal is cropped from a Stampin’ Up! Silver Foil Sheets using one of the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Frames Dies.  I had used up my Silver Glimmer card stock so this made a good substitute. The cardinal is cropped from a panel of Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray card stock and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink.  The branch the bird is on is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers in Light and Dark Seaside Spray and Light Old Olive.  I know this color is not in the challenge but hoping it will be ok as I noticed some of the DT has other colors.

The Happy Birthday is from  Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on a scrap from cropping the bird.  It makes a great label for the greeting would you not agree?

The inside sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Everything Is RosyStamp Set is stamped in ‘Stampin’ Up! Night Of Navy ink.  An image from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set is stamped in the lower corner of the sentiment panel.

My Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope flap got an image from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers in Light Balmy Blue and Light Old Olive.  A tree image was stamped in the right lower corner of the envelope front

My inspiration for this card comes from the TGIF #241 Challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek

Is your day going great?  Welcome

My card today is another Sneak Peek of the Same Suite.  The instant I saw this DSP at OnStage, I had a card in mind and it just so happens that it will go with the challenge over at Case This Sketch

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Stamp Set for the greeting and Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper. Both are available January 3, 2020.

The art panel which turns out to be the focal panel and is from the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog and is one of the sheets of DSP in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.  The way it is printed you cut it down the middle at 6″ and then you have two panels to make cards or background for some other image.  The panel received a Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather card stock mat.

The Happy Birthday from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, available January 3, 2020, is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a banner of Stampin’ Up! Old Olive card stock that is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder after the greeting is stamped. The rhinestones are from the Stampin’ Up! Noble Peacock Rhinestones and Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black in on a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White panel. Poppies from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Stamp Set are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Old Olive ink at the bottom of the sentiment panel.  The poppies are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils and Stampin’ Up! Blender Pens.

The poppies on the envelope flap are stamped and colored in the same way as the poppies on the sentiment panel.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Rose

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Rose

Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here Suite is one of those Suite that can be used not only for Christmas but other occasions as well.  Today the card I am sharing is one other than a Christmas card.

The challenge I am playing in today is celebrating its 200th challenge.  What a milestone for the Inkspirational Challenge.  With a theme of celebration — how appropriate as we celebrate their 200th.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler card stock.  It has a background panel from the Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper.

The art panel is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder. The roses for the art panel are fussy cut from a panel of the Christmastime Is Here DSP and adhered to the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and then trimmed to size. The gold flourish that is peeking out behind the greeting is cropped from a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Gold Foil Sheets using the die from the Christmastime Is Here Suite.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set also. The roses are fussy cut from the panel of DSP the roses as the card front.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the DSP applied to the envelope flap for the finishing touch.

hank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies

35 days until Christmas Day!  Have you been shopping, making Christmas cards and all the other things you do to be prepared for that most glorious day!  Do you decorate early, before Thanksgiving or do you decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Today’s card is a sneak peek of what is to come in January when the new Stampin’ Up! 2020 Mini Catalog goes live and you can order from it.  The catalog has a new name.  In years past, it was called the Occasions Catalog, Stampin’ Up! gave it a new name this year — the Mini Catalog.   The card is created using one of the beautiful new DSP’s we will be getting.  It is called Peaceful Poppies and each sheet of it is so beautiful.  I for one love poppies.

I am playing with the As You See It Challenge for today.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Bliss card stock.  The other card stock used is from the new Mini Catalog and will be available January 3, 2020.  It is called Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.

The circles were cropped using two sizes of Stampin’ Up! Layering Circle Dies.  The DSP circles are matted in Blackberry Bliss card stock and adhered to the Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade card stock panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The Poppy Parade panel has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from a new Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Peaceful Moments and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.  A panel of the Peaceful Poppies DSP is adhered down one side of the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White panel.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the DSP added to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday

Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday

Welcome!

Inspiration for today’s design comes from the Global Design Project.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot card stock with a panel from Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper used as the background panel.  The art panel, matted using Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock, is Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock and the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Duet Punch is used to punch the butterflies in the panel.  My card is a CAS(E) of one  Tamie Ackerson created. You can see hers here.  I needed a belated birthday card for a good friend that I missed her birthday plus I just remembered tomorrow is my little sister’s birthday and I forgot to mail her a card also.  Wonder where my memory is these days, I think I have brain overload.

The piece has a hole punched to run the Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread through and then adhered to the back of the background panel.  A double loop bow is also made and popped on the panel using a  Glue Dot. Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are popped on the butterflies and one by the greeting.

The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Two butterflies have been punched in the panel so the DSP will give the butterflies a pattern.

The Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of the Pressed Petals DSP added to the envelope flap for the final finishing touches and two butterflies that have been cut from the DSP to the right corner.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.
